-Because he’s lazy and a messy fucker, he often left pins/needles on the ground. One needle punctured his left feet and he learned a lesson to clean up after working.

As a top student, Shope is under constant pressure to maintain her academic performance. The expectations, both by her and her parents leave her overwhelmed, especially while balancing school responsibilities with her duties as a superhero. When stressed, she can become irritable and snap over minor inconveniences.
Shope struggles with perfectionism and ties her self-worth to her achievements. Even strong results can feel like failures if they don’t meet the standards she sets for herself which sends her into a spiral of self hatred and sadness.
Because people see her as “the smart one,” she feels pressured to appear capable at all times and rarely lets others see how tired she truly is. She fears that if she stops succeeding, people will stop valuing her.
When Shope was little, her parents were often busy working long hospital shifts. Rather than leaving her home alone, they’d sometimes let her spend hours in the emergency department waiting room or staff areas.
She wasn’t seeing graphic procedures every day, but she overheard conversations. Over the years she absorbed hundreds of stories about how people got hurt. So she is extremely paranoid about accidents that could happen to her loved ones.

Her room contains labeled animal skeletons, jars of preserved biological samples, anatomy charts, and stacks of science and anatomy textbooks.
People were already scared of her during the middle school, this is worse. Because of her increasingly odd interest and hobby, other students seems to be avoiding her and spread rumors about her being the future serial kill, despite her never hurting anyone.
Shope doesn’t realize she’s making people uncomfortable. To her, forensic science is no different from someone else being passionate about sports or music. She has a problem of casually bringing up biology/forensic/criminology/anatomy facts at inappropriate times.

Here’s the list of her injuries because I love her😍😍😍:
-Ofc she would have some scars from the virus battle.
-At 13, While washing a cracked beaker, it shattered in her hand. Several tiny glass fragments had to be removed from her palm. She now checks every piece of glassware for cracks before starting the experiment.
-At 14, Kevin accidentally spilled diluted acid on her arm. She’s now ridiculously strict about wearing gloves and lab coats. Kevin feels VERY guilty about it but Shope treats the burn as a lesson in lab safety.
-Her fingers have lots of tiny scars from getting cut by scalpels.
-At 16, she accidentally stabbed herself in her right inner thigh with a scalpel, hitting a nerve (literally) causing her to have partial sensory loss from her thigh below. Shope took this injury as a “fascinating case study”. She would note down where she stabbed herself and keeps track of the symptoms. Sometimes you can even caught her poking her thigh with a pen to see if the sensation changed. Whenever she finished battling with the virus, she would check her right leg for any cuts or bruises. The numbness in her leg is the constant reminder for her to be more careful with surgical tools.. or sharp objects in general.
