Okay, for real this time. I've actually read your fic for the Motley Crew AU so I have an idea of how they'd meet, but I'm curious how Colt and Mark's relationship would develop in your eyes. Idk if you see spacestunt happening in that au specifically, but in general I'm curious how you think they'd end up bonding and eventually maybe getting together 🤔

“i think the whole reason why they’d even get together is like colt saying something like as a joke along the lines of “i’d date you if they ever invented a time machine’ or like some sort of “impossible” thing to make. But then mark makes it- he only (maybe) did it on purpose . more bc i think he was being cheeky and then colt commits to the bit because he sort of ‘promised’ neither of them sort of took it seriously but then had to after the fact-

thinking about colt coming back to jody with. Mark is kinda funny to me like. I’m not sure fully for the AU mainly bc I’m not sure where I want to go with it fully but. Idk. they’d both bond over doing stupid crazy stuff and living to tell the tale, I think that mark would love making and trying to foolishly impress Colt, while colt tries being more traditional and such? Would be really cute to me

Asdfghjkl I love this sooooo muchhhhh!!!! I love the idea of it starting out as a joke, that's so funny and they totally would do that and then commit to the bit. "Yeah we started dating as a joke but I don't think it's a joke anymore..." Lmao. Jody would get a good laugh out of it for sure

In my au I like to think Mark sorta fell first, cuz Colt is hot 😔, but it's more of just a lil crush like "oh he's REALLY pretty but I don't know him well enough to tell if I'd like him like that" then something something, Colt catches on to Mark's crush cuz he overhears Mark's internal monologues when they're in the detective noir universe and is surprised at first but after thinking about it a lot comes to the slow realization that he doesn't mind Mark thinking of him like that and maybe might even like him back, wink wonk (Colt falls harder fr fr). And from then on their feelings fester and grow for a while till they finally bubble over and they confess to each other. Bonus points if they encounter alternate universe versions of themselves that are already in a relationship 👀

Watched Iron Lung again cuz it's out on YouTube now, and now I'm sitting down to finally knit the fox cardigan cuz I was able to get the knitting needles I needed. Living the bloodymary lifestyle over here :] (we're not gonna talk about how long it took me to remember how to do a long tail cast on, okay? It's been a while since I knitted something)

I believe in you! If I was able to knit a sweater as the first thing I ever made you can figure out knitting too! (Maybe don't be like me tho and do swatches/granny squares first to get down the technique) The main thing is just finding the time. I could put myself to sleep knitting, so it will take me ages to finish this cardigan 😔 and I'm employed so that doesn't help either

Colt may be stupid

This is now the canon of how my spacestunt au all began. Which I'm now calling the au Mission Saving Grace because a. It fits thematically with Project Hail Mary b. Colt would also be bad at naming things, it genetic and c. The abbreviation would be MSG and that's funny to me :]

I am unsure if I'll end up making a fic for this au (I still have to finish my bloodymary fic and my track record for finishing fics is not great) or if I'll just post doodles and rambles on here. I mean, I'll be doing the latter either way, the question is if I want to struggle through trying to write a long fic as well :[

Honestly..... If, and that's a big fat IF, I end up writing a fic for this au, I could probably have it tie in to the bloodymary fic. In the sense that both fics would be able to be read as standalone but maybe MAYBE there could be a third that has the gang all hangin on Erid or smth idk

I cannot stress enough how hypothetical these fics are, I am so insanely bad at finishing fics so please please please don't get your hopes up for a fic and just assume it won't happen so no one will be disappointed if I don't make it. I'm struggling enough as is with the bloodymary fic so cut me some slack. I am NOT a writer.

Consider the following spacestunt while they're in the black and white detective noir universe and Colt can hear Mark's internal monologue, probably something similar to his monologue he actually has in iswm when he's complimenting the Captain's baby gray eyes and how he should but will probably never get the courage to ask them on a date. Hey no! No comparing your art to others in this household. Everyone is at different points in their art journey and comparison does nothing but breed insecurity. The arbitrary concept of "quality" does not matter because it's almost entirely subjective, what matters is that you're drawing. I love your drawing, continue to persevere cuz the art is worth it!! Keep drawing bestie!!

Guys am I becoming the guy that draws spacestunt? Is that what's happening? Am I gonna be the only one drawing spacestunt thus making me the spacestunt artist guy? Cuz I've already made several posts about them within just a few days?

I mean, I'll do it. If that's gonna be how it is. But man it'd be so cool if there were more people out there drawing or just posting about spacestunt. Unless I'm just not seeing others spacestunt posts for whatever reason.

I don't expect this ship to get as popular as bloodymary, but if it does gain a little more traction at least I can say I was out here at the start of it all drawing these guys for my own enjoyment. So I can wear that badge with honor or smth. I was here when there were no fics :') (there's only one fic I've found that is listed on AO3 as iswm and the fall guy crossover, and it's not even tagged with spacestunt cuz it's also phm and iron lung crossover. I'm still gonna read it, but it's not spacestunt)

But like, please. I'd love to read a spacestunt fic. Just one is all I ask 🥺 I wanna talk to people about these guys so bad. They snuck up on me and consumed my every waking thought. I gotta ramble about my au, how the story would play out in my mind, cuz it'll be kinda like iswm but different in several key details and I wanna talk about it.
