music wise:

I think Will basically has the same tastes in music. He inherits them from Jonathan (Jonathan in my mind definitely feels like he was born in the wrong era- he still dresses like the 80s, listens to exclusively 80s music, basically just canon Jonathan colordropped into a modern setting), so Will gets bands like the cure the clash Bowie etc from him, but I feel like he’d also listen to more of the punk rock movement ish things, bands like paramore and my chemical romance and all those good ones.

Mike however. Mike is a Top 40s listener. He has listened to every genre of music under the sun and his favorite is prolly something like “hip hop folk pop bananzalooza” or smth. Bro has absolutely no preferences for music and it drives will INSANE

clothes:

will would have a nice blend between his flannels and also probably a few stylistic choices every once in a while. My boy mainly prioritizes comfort, so his go to is his layered band shirts and washed out jeans (idk if he still lived in Cali for a moment in this fic but if he did he definitely picked this up from there- if he didn’t max gave it to him and he stuck with it) but he also knows how to make a statement. He also wears jewelry, some sort of necklace (I’d have to think what) and a shit ton of homemade bracelets from Jane :3

Mike’s sense of style is muted because he’s lazy. However, he gravitates towards darker colors and tries to pretend he’s being emo even though he’s literally just wearing black. Prolly less polo shirts than canon Mike for sure. HOWEVER, the one thing he absolutely does think about when styling is his shoes- he wears like exclusively doc martens or converse and he has a big collection and he’s very proud of them. What can I say he’s a homo

habits:

idrk have tooooo much to say about this one but I think Mike is CHRONICALLY online and Will is very frugal about using technology (inherited from Jonathan, also he really really really hates ai) or at least just doomscrolling on the internet. So Mike tries to explain certain memes from the deep dark depths of shitposting and will just looks at him like he’s crazy

I also don’t really know what YouTube they’d like but I think Will would be a BIG fan of indie animation, especially horror, and Mike would love a good sitcom lmfao. Mike would also watch all those “how to survive in the arctic for 10 days” just to see if he COULD. also also I’m a big fan of the “Mike loves watching ocean documentaries” hc sooo that too
