That’s not quite true. The reporter behind the story, Daphne Caruana Galizia, was murdered.
After mass protests, the Prime Minister of Iceland was forced to resign, along with many other members of the ruling party.
After mass protests, the President of Pakistan was forced to resign, along with many other members of the ruling party.
Worldwide, hundreds of people – many rich and powerful – were arrested.
Billions in stolen assets were returned to the people.
And 82 countries changed their laws to crack down on the wealth hoarding the papers revealed.

To say the Panama Papers accomplished nothing is an insult to Daphne Galizia’s memory. Her work, and the work of the hundreds of other journalists who contributed to the Papers, changed the world.
Disinformation like this is designed to discourage you, to make you feel you’re powerless against the monsters of the world. They want you to feel that way, because they are terrified of your power to make change.
Take your power back. Demand better. Keep fighting for a better world, because a better world is possible.
I can’t stop laughing at this 🤣😂🤣
It's the capital letter shouting that I love so much.
My own view of the matter is that I hope Twitter implodes. At a minimum I won’t shed any tears if it does. I have always thought that we should resist any and all conceits from the social platforms that they constitute any kind of public square. A lot of good people on the outside and even inside these companies have spent years trying to figure out how that works, devising quasi-governmental rule making systems and bodies to adjudicate how things should work. It’s all wrong. Of course the companies buy into these ideas and even embrace the responsibilities the responsibilities that go along with it. Of course they do. It’s a great thing to own the public square. They eagerly work to stitch their enterprises into the economic and judicial frameworks they inhabit. But they’re not the public square and we should be on the other side of everything that advances those pretensions. They’re private businesses organized around profit maximization. No more, no less. What we are seeing is likely the start of an epic bonfire in which Musk tries to reconcile the various forces unleashed by his impulsive behavior and very likely fails. It won’t be pretty. It may be hilarious. But it will be important to watch.

Oh my God.
The board of directors' names?
They're the names from Fighting Baseball
I don't know if that was on purpose or an Easter Egg or what but either way it's magnificent
Tumblr being acquired by Automattic
So as some of you may have noticed from the email Tumblr sent out, Tumblr is being acquired by Automattic. I did some digging, wondering how Automattic would handle nudity and sex (I won’t lie, that’s like at least half my Tumblr content, the other half is probably Wil Wheaton and a few friends). While poking through the Community Guidelines and I found this nugget. Last updated 12-17-2018 though, so I assume it’s been around pre-Automattic. Is this something they just never enforce? Will Automattic enforce it? I guess we’ll see. Anyway, figured I’d post it for those of you who do post the dirty naughties. Keep it artistic! XD
Adult Content. Don't upload images, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples — this includes content that is so photorealistic that it could be mistaken for featuring real-life humans (nice try, though). Certain types of artistic, educational, newsworthy, or political content featuring nudity are fine. Don’t upload any content, including images, videos, GIFs, or illustrations, that depicts sex acts. For more information about what this guideline prohibits and how to appeal decisions about adult content, check out our help desk. https://www.tumblr.com/policy/en/community
Favorite One-off Characters: Kali - 5x19
Definite pity that she was in only one episode of Supernatural. She would have been a great recurring character. And definitely nothing wrong with seeing more of Rekha Sharma. <3

Hackers can freeze the camera that lets you know whether your "Amazon Key" equipped door is locked and who is using it
Security researchers from Rhino Security Labs have shown that it is trivial to disable the Amazon Cloud Cam that is a crucial component of the Amazon Key product – a connected home door-lock that allows delivery personnel to open your locked front door and leave your purchases inside – and have demonstrated attacks that would allow thieves to exploit this weakness to rob your home.
The vulnerability involves a simple, devastating attack on the camera, in which overwhelming its wifi connection with trivial-to-generate junk traffic causes it to lock up, so that all you see is the last image it transmitted before the attack – thus a well-timed attack would show your door to be closed and locked when it was open.
The camera itself serves as the internet gateway for Amazon Lock, with which it communicates via the notoriously insecure Zigbee protocol. Knocking the camera offline also disconnects your door-lock.
This could allow unscrupulous delivery people to let themselves into your home without your knowledge, though the audit trail left behind by the system would make it easy to tell who was the last person the system authorized to enter your home.
More dangerously, a thief who trailed a delivery person could take advantage of the situation by timing their attack to coincide with the unlock, while simultaneously disabling the camera – though they would have to trick the delivery person into leaving the door unlocked behind them.
Amazon is promising to patch its systems, but the Rhino recommendation is “Don’t use Amazon Key.”
