Yo, I see sooo many conversations and quotes about "why" we love. Figuring out what motivates us is a great conversation to have, but I honestly feel like so much of what these "why we love" sentiments are getting at is capitalism applied to love. It's like being love, feeling love and being social creatures who need love are not valid enough reasons of their own; we hafta justify it. If we justify it with a reason, then we can measure our investment in it. Fuck that. No matter how dope someone else is, we ultimately love because we have it to give and are willing to radiate it. The objects of our affection are just HUGE, irreplaceable bonuses that allow us to see our love reflected in another. (at Childs Park, Saint Petersburg)

Modern living puts so much on us that [espeially if we're actively tryna create positive change] when the demands pile up, we feel impossibly alone, but I promise you that's not the case. Sometimes it might take speaking up when you feel unseen to let others know you need help, but I can tell you from personal experience that if you can do it, you come out the other end stronger 💓💪🏾 (at Hops and Props)
