Of all the authors whose books I've worked on, I have a great respect for most of them.
Except for one certain person, whom I should not name publicly. She is on my shit list.
...Okay, two persons.

Not sure why it's a new trend among fic readers to assume if the fic has not been posted within the week it's inappropriate to comment on it, like the fic has to be hot out of the oven to give feedback for.
I got a comment on a fic that is less than a year old and it was mostly an apology for being a comment on an "old fic" and how late they were in commenting.
Just comment on the fic. Doesn't matter how old it is.
Fandom is not social media.
Fandom is not trends.
Fandom is a cross between a library and having a slumber party with your friends.
"Old" means nothing to fic.
Judging by my Tumblr, post in my ask what you think I'm like in real life
This is about to get really sweet or really mean

THE GOLDEN GIRLS 2.05 — Isn't It Romantic? — 08.11.86 Betty White as Rose Nylund Lois Nettleton as Jean
1986!!
Golden Girls was so incredibly progressive for its time and not even slightly afraid to be loud about it. They talked about queer people, about race, about ableism, and they made it central and overt. They talked about things that mattered, and they never punched down, and they were allies off the stage too.
Reblogging this again to add some context for anyone who may not know. In the 80's, being outed as gay could get you blacklisted in Hollywood. It ruined people's careers.
Bea Arthur and Betty White both suffered damage to their careers for standing up against racism and homophobia. Back in the 50s Betty White hosted a variety show that was canceled because she featured a black dancer and doubled down when they told her to stop.

I went for a run. For only a bit more than 3k and with atrocious time, but considering I barely had the energy/will for anything but lying around and watching House md beyond work, it's... progress.
If you see this you’re legally obligated to reblog and tag with the book you’re currently reading
I mean, I didn't start crying in the line for lunch, but I did walk up six flights of stairs instead of facing the resident Karen in the elevator.
It’s been a minute since I’ve sent you an ask. I just want to say hi, and let you know someone is rooting for you!
Thank you, Nonnie :)
To be honest, it's been not an easy few days. I've already been struggling because of the anniversary of my mom's death, and the top of it all small things are setting me off and throwing me off into the deep--things that I logically know belong to the "life happens" and "people have character flaws regardless of of you," but things that my mind chooses to interpret as "no-one loves you" and "nothing good is waiting for you." So... yeah.
they put my blood through every test under the sun and yet nowhere in the pages and pages of lab reports do they tell me what my blood type is
your neutrophils absolute? 2.71. anion gap? why, that's 11! hemoglobin A1C? a solid 5.4. and don't fret, champ—your VLDL (calculated) is a cool 12. real fascinating stuff. hm? what's that? you want to know what kind of blood you have? like, so you won't have to look your next ER nurse in the eye and tell her you have no clue what type you have right after giving her a date of birth that confirms you are over 30 years old? psh, don't be silly! we can't tell you that! it's a ✨secret✨
do you know your blood type??
yes, I'm certain of it
I think my family told me what it was but I'm not sure/no recent test to confirm
no, I have no clue
I don't have blood/results

And for the lady, perhaps a man who acts like loving you is the best decision he’s ever made
As much as I love summer, now that we're officially into June, I wonder what fresh hell this season has waiting for me. It's been a good while since summer hadn't kicked my ass.
Look, I've never had a good relationship with the Enola Holmes movies. i tried the first one, lasted until about the corset scene (that once again spoke of the creators historical illetaracy that it pissed me off), but we have to talk about this:
Yes, the dress is painfully terrible. It has about as much to do with 1880s fashion as me with spectator sports (absolutely zero). But at least it's so bad that it distracts you from the fact that THE FUCKING HORSE HAS NO FUCKING HARNESS.
And yay for hitting another mental low, feeling worthless and all.
