overcoming ur anxiety to go out with friends
I don’t believe in guilty pleasures (own what you like y'all and don’t shit on other people for what they like as long as it’s not hurting anyone else) so I’m just going throw it out there that this fucking destroys me and that’s all I have to say about that
48 hours ago I was on a plane en route to this airport, in that time I
-Got to see my favorite band with my favorite person in a city I’ve never really been to (Sleater-Kinney, girlfriend, Indianapolis) -Got to try girlfriend’s homemade horchata ice cream left over from a Labsgiving party she made all the desserts for -Learned how to play an S-K song on guitar from girlfriend -Rewatched season 4 of The L Word (just as terrible/wonderful as I remember) -Spent a lot of time naked -Spent a lot of time lounging and relaxing which is good because in the next 48 hours I have to: get on a plane (in like ten minutes), fly to Laguardia, drive to Nyack, drive 120 miles to Albany with a coworker tomorrow morning, go to an all day state wide meeting on LGBTQ DV, drive back, bake cookies, co-facilitate an extremely important staff meeting on a huge policy change at work, help watch 40+ kids at a holiday party for our clients
this is so sad yet important

There’s really no such thing as the ‘voiceless’. There are only the deliberately silenced, or the preferably unheard

Just spent an exceedingly lovely five days with girlfriend, most of it was spent replacing the lyrics to pop songs with the word "meow" to make them about naughty cats, not gonna lie

words to remember
“Can I touch your butt” in Elvish.
This is so useful
No, this is not “Can I touch your butt” in Elvish. This is “Can I touch your butt?” in English, transcribed using the letters of the Elvish alphabet. There is a difference.
In Elvish, the letters of the alphabet correspond to sounds, not to words. The above text spells it out using one symbol to represent one letter of the original English, which is incorrect:
c-a-n i t-o-u-c-h y-o-u-r b-u-t-t
If you really want to spell out an English phrase using the Elvish alphabet, you would do so phonetically, which would basically equate to one symbol per phoneme (sound):
c-a-n a-i t-u-ch y-o-r b-u-t
If you actually wanted to write “Can I touch your butt?” in Elvish, one (very rough) translation would be:
Annog nin daf pladan tele ci?
Which, in Sindarin Elvish, roughly translates to, “Would you give me permission to touch your rear?”
Written in tengwar (the Elvish alphabet), it would look like this:
