“I can’t believe I’ll be thirty next week,” she mused quietly as she looked through the newspaper she picked up on her walk through the park. It was a surprisingly nice day in the city so Sara took the long way into work which included cutting through the park and stopping by the small coffee cart on the corner outside of her job. Flipping through the paper, she hadn’t realized that she was next to order and the people in line behind her were starting to get frustrated. Feeling someone move pass her, she looked up from the newspaper and frowned, “Hey! There’s a line and the end is back there.”
IT WAS A MIRACLE HOW Dinah managed to see any of her friends; especially when most of them worked in the mornings and the nights as well. Where she was concerned? Her night job included a mask, a leather jacket and a bowstaff. However, she had the day off in her morning job. The brunette grabbed the opportunity to hang out with one of the coolest people she’d ever known; Sara Lance. Both in favor of witty banter but strong advocates of small talk, they met that morning and headed to grab a coffee before Sara had to work. However, the moment it was their turn to order, Dinah stepped forward only to notice Sara’s attention was distracted by the newspaper. She stepped back and poked her elbow, silently bringing her back to reality, when another person tried to cut the line. The second Sara complained the man scoffed and attempted to ignore her. Dinah reached out a hand to stop him. “Now’s the right time to go back in line, dumbass.”
