ancient magus' bride is so damn boring... best thing i've ever read
dress up is one of the most important pillars of gameplay that is often ignored by game developers to disasterous results
how it genuinely feels to have someone who agrees with your somewhat niche stances on a character
After a certain point Maomao is so funny to me. "I shouldn't do xyz it might piss someone off and get me killed" girl the emperor likes you. His wives like you; you give them explicit porn and save their babies. His mom likes you. They let you practice medicine illegally. His secret son wants you down crazy. You could kill a bitch and they'd probably cover it up
in chapter 2 we see chika with long hair and chise with this (ADORABLE) long braid. we literally never see this again so im going to file this under "yamazaki was still figuring it out, take with a grain of salt" but ummmmm look at theys cuties pies
i hope chise finally meets miss mage but doesnt recognize her at first without elias' rbf on
half of me believes that elias acts Like That in the beginning of the story because yamazaki was still figuring out his vibe. but the other half of me thinks its fun to consider that elias, as "a creature that imitates", was purposefully acting in a more animated way because he wanted to..... connect with chise better? make her more comfortable?
tamb wikipedia lookin a lil different 🤨
so I was watching the lonely star OVA again bcuz ive decided to return to my Hatori Family Game Theory (again). and these are the roadblocks that are haunting me:
-WHO EXACTLY was taking care of chise before she left Japan. she mentions, like one or two times incredibly early in the story, that "distant relatives" were passing her around. but related HOW?
- in the OVA there's no mention of her being related to the people she's living with. she calls the woman taking care of her "obaa-san" (auntie), but isnt that a common way to refer to a woman older than you that you aren't familiar with? could that be a correct assumption to make? it seemed like the person who initially agreed to take chise was her husband, so if anything HE would be the one related to her. idk
- if she has so many "distant relatives" why are they so distant to begin with??? why were chika and yuuki so withdrawn from them? like chika was struggling so much on her own and she didnt have absolutely anyone to help??? (though perhaps could just be the japanese shame-based induvidualism)
-if they ARE related I assume it would be on yuukis side. chikas colour palette makes her much more of an enigma to me, I think it would be far more obvious if someone was related to her
-with the little amount of information we've been given on chises life in Japan, you'd think she has some kind of fcking amnesia or something. but I really don't think she does, I think yamazaki is just withholding this information to spite me personally 🔫
FUCK !!!!!!!!! *furiously ripping pages out of a notebook*

a girl in her room
unfortunately I have no choice but to be so incredibly insufferable about this. my condolences to everyone affected
I'm not just saying this bcuz I hate the marriage/children ending for female characters but listen. I think chise and elias would absolutely rock being the rich childfree lesbian aunts
i just keep looking at her. i keep tabbing back to the page to just look at her panel again
made her my phone wallpaper just to make it thru the day
gabriella may be out here biting people, but she is the ONLY one of these mfkers that has some semblance of sense left in her
Im gonna be so real. I kind of fully expect whatever happening in the Elias Puddle to be solved 'off-screen' and not talked about for another 50 chapters. the same way I expect chise is gonna hear fumikis name, have a minor internal epiphany, NOT TELL anyone about it, and sit on it for 3 more years
