my life has spiraled out of control recently in matters of emotional devastation and severe physical illness due to malnutrition (10 years of alcoholism + not being able to afford to feed yourself properly even after you quit drinking as this effect,) so i’m not in a good or stable place emotionally at this juncture in life.

it could be a long while before i have any interest in returning to manage an entire muse blog, including this one. looking at the dash makes me feel irrationally resentful of others and i am H Y P E R S E N S I T I V E to feelings of being ignored or discarded at the moment. this includes delays in replies owed to me, which is unfair on my partners and not even something i’m normally reactive to in healthier mindsets. (NO I DON’T WANT TO TALK BECAUSE TALKING ISN’T A TANGIBLE SOLUTION and i don’t need cheerleaders either.)

the name’s lucie. i’m trying to find god– not in the fan-club sense. i mean literally. god is AWOL. look, i know i have kind of a crappy reputation, but if said reputation really does precede me, then you know i have some issues with pride. asking for help isn’t something that comes easily when you’re proud, yet here i am. since god has been missing, some freaky things have started happening that even i can’t explain and i need help to find her.

Still–this was back to old times, wasn’t it? Arm in arm and cool as you please, turning heads even at their extremes of appearance, and not always in that scandalous “too wide an age-gap” way, either. All the scene was really missing to be up to the old standards was a little more nudity and a lot more…well, generally, chaos. “Ooo, ‘charming face,’ that’s almost slick of you. Keep buttering me up, I like it. –I’ve been about as well as one might expect. Done some continent-hopping, some soul-searching, realized I’ve gotta stay where my people are. And no matter what all the hip young pagans are trying to sell you on, my people aren’t out in L.A.. Aren’t those your loonies shamming as artists on that scene?”

Cutesy little dig aside…: “I think the main event is how you’ve been, honey. It doesn’t seem to me like the boat’s been rocking the way it used to back in the day; kinda defeatist of you, I think. What gives?”

“Try convincing my ex of that,” Lucie returned with a wry smirk. Of course the ex she was referring to was none other than God. Her ego wasn’t even as bad as scriptures made it out to be, but over the years, Lucie had adopted a sort of ‘if you’re gonna do the time, you may as well do the crime’ attitude. And it showed in her appearance and attitude. She had strut like she owned the ground she walked on, no matter where, and a look that commanded admiration from all and sundry. There was also the bit where Lucie clashed horribly with anyone else with as lofty an ego as her... Except for Dio’s. 

     The pair were just different enough in motives and interests to keep conflict at bay. Not to mention the fact that Dio was kind enough to overlook the part about her being condemned. They’d been drinking buddies before and continued to be so after. She appreciated the witty banter too.  Even if it was at her expense at the moment. She cocked her head at the remark about loonies in Los Angeles, then corrected, “I’m in Vegas now, actually. LA was... Well, I like it for the souls they’re always willing to sell, but screw being around them while they’re still alive. Celebrities are insufferable. Vegas is more my pace; gambling truly brings out the worst in people. Weather’s better too. I’ve always been cold-sensitive.”

     Lucie heard the question of her own well-being and gave a thoughtful lick to her lips. God was MIA and the world was falling to shit without Lucie having a hand in it. It was a little known fact that God and Lucie counterbalanced each other and one couldn’t exist without the other; like yin and yang. She’d also been feeling strangely since she noticed God’s absence: compulsions to do good were the most alarming to the devil. Lucie was also constantly tired more than not, which was a whole new experience for her altogether. Lucie offered Dio a vague response, “I’ve just got a lot on my plate right now. Don’t worry about me. We can always skip the coffee and go straight to the tequila shots though!” It was seven AM.

      “Dionysus, please. Tell me that wasn’t you attempting to make a pass at me. Holy shit! First off, 100 followers may seem miniscule to some, but you know what? I’d rebooted this blog, and almost immediately hit that number with my awesome followers! Those that actually enjoy my character, enjoy seeing me on their dash, and want to RP with me! Me!? It’s actually unbelievable. To be honest, I thought I was going to just kind of fade away, especially since school has now kept me so busy! I’ve had such a rough choice to make–writing or law? Why not both? Anyway, I’m going off base….

Maya has been on Tumblr for TWO years now! I can’t believe it! Some of you have been with her since the beginning! And I honestly have tears in my eyes as I type this, because I didn’t think you’d be around me or want to be around me that long! I almost feel like recording myself singing Viva Forever by Spice Girls, but I won’t torture you all with that. I’ll do this instead :)

Through all the trials, the drama, we’ve all hung together consistently, and those who are just following my baby, thank you! I am truly touched you find Maya interesting enough to want to get to know her. 

But, before I list the numerous people I recommend you follow, there are just a few serious shout outs I need to go through:

@wildhearted​ - Jess….I don’t know what I’d do without you. You’d been with Maya and me since day one. Literally. We started our blogs out together, and because of you, Maya has developed into the nerd she is today. You and MIa have helped her develop and grow. You have been pivotal. You will always, always, have such a special place in my heart. Maya will forever love her Mia. I will forever love my Jess. Not only did you make the kick ass graphic here, but also the beautiful background for my theme!!! I’m so proud of you, of how you’ve taken on different creative outlets, and you’ve succeeded. You’ve developed your own muse, have your own little fandom, and you’ve become such a talented writer / artist! You’ve stuck by me throughout everything I’ve gone through, regardless of my tantrums….and it truly takes such a patient and wonderful heart and soul to do that. I remember how petrified  I was to speak to you, and you stunned me to silence with your blunt honesty and rational arguments. Sarah, even though our convos have kind of dwindled, I have to say; you are a friend that I can always talk to, no matter how much time had passed. You make me feel comfortable.
