Something something, vampires can eat human food, but have no benefit from it. They can’t even feel full from consuming it. Much like contacts (as we’ve seen ) or any other biodegradable substance, it goes into the stomach and is attacked by the venom itself and then reabsorbed and turned into venom once more. They will never feel full, blood and even some meat is able to be consumed and sustain them. This is because blood takes longer to break down ( why? Cause I say so ) the venom coagulates its very much like snakes venom and therefore it sits longer in the body lasting them and giving the sensation of being full.
Something something instead of just black eyes when vamps are hungry, they actually begin to appear gaunt and starved. They seem sharper and harsher, even their movements are more predatory because the illusion that lures prey in is not easily pulled off when they lack energy.
