Honest question: Why do you draw Artificer so big? When I first entered this fandom I expected people to draw the slugcats height based on their food pips. Enot/Inv as the tallest (12 pips), then Gourmand (11), then Spearmaster (10) and afterwards Artificer and Hunter at the same height (9). I was shocked by the amount of people that draw Artificer as the biggest. I really want to know why. If the reason really is just “the rule of cool” then that just kinda disappointing. I’ve see it so many times, so it being because of something shallow like that is just, well shallow. Maybe Im approaching this from a different perspective. Making Gourmand the biggest make sense for their character. I mean their biggest defining characteristic is that they are big and strong and because of that slow. Artificer isn’t slow, so making them tank build doesn’t make sense for their powers. The only reason I have found to make Artificer big is to make them intimidating, but that logic should also apply to Spearmaster and Hunter. At the same time, I think that these three are already intimidating enough. Artificer and Hunter are red, the colour know for being scary, and have scars. Spearmaster is a freak of nature. Idk, I just need some kind to answer.

in my headcanon, arti is a slugcat but a different species? kinda like riv who is just a silly aquatic fish-scug?

i decided to give my arti some bug features. i thought it was a cool concept. (i guess i got the idea from bugs like bombardier beetle? colobopsis explodens ant? there is some crazy bugs with crazy weapons. plus i like bugs.)

arti can pupate and change her body (or heal), so she can kill more scavs. i wanted to make her even more scarier. so scary that with one glance she can kill a scav even lol.

do you ever wondered "why there is scavs? what to do with em? why they exist?" arti is here to give you some advice !!!

scavs can be a great meal: ~ !!!

-grilled scav! very juicy and tasty. kinda tastes like earthy shellfish..? dont forget to add some spices.

-scav soup! warm and filling! goes great with plants.

-scav stir-fry! delicious and healthy. goes great with seeds or eggbug eggs.

tasty right?

you can make many different meals with scav meat! but of course there will be extras: ~ !!!

-scav skull! you can make it into a mask! cool right?

-scav bone! very hard and sturdy. can be useful to carve tools or weapons.

-accessories/necklaces! claws, hands, eyeballs... very fashionable.

-scav pelt! its not that soft... but it can be a rug or a clothing. it can keep you warm and dressed!

-scav taxidermy! artis fav! do you wanna remember your fun scav hunts? this would be your choice! plus it is nice furniture to your shelter.

nothing goes to waste !!! YEAHH!
