Summary:

Wolfwood made a tactical retreat, pulling Vash between buildings and out of the row of food stalls. He didn’t stop until they were through the alley and safely in the town center. It was still crowded, the festival in full swing down every road, but the game and information booths were less dangerous for his wallet.

“Sorry Wolfwood,” Vash shoved the last bit of candied air into his mouth. “It all just looks so good! It’s been years since I saw a festival like this… Aren’t you going to try yours?” Wolfwood held out the other candy stick without comment, and Vash accepted it with a grin.

“I’ll never understand how your teeth haven’t rotted straight outta your skull. How do ya stomach so much sugar in a single mornin’?”

Decided to draw Wolfwood for the first time- I sort of did the wings and all as a metaphor to The Eye of Michael. It’s super messy, I know, but I’m trying to work on my perfectionism and not letting myself get overly negative in my ability to create. The wings were referenced from another drawing since I’ve also never drawn wings- what do you know

i hc people on gunsmoke sometimes go to plant bulbs and leave little offerings. toys, flowers, foods maybe. maybe some towns have festivals that include the tradition of gifting something to the dependent plant powering your city. maybe a superstition, maybe some people believe it will keep the plant calm and stable. i mean i think nightow mentioned something how plants need light and air and sugar or something (like actual plants)? so maybe pastries and candy and candles

ahh uh this!! it wasnt an interview it was in trimax manga somewhere where they explain the plants, i think it was at the sandsteamer. i'm not 100% sure it specifically said sugar, but i think it said something about glucose, oxygen and light, i assume it was meant to be based on actual plant breathing photosynthesis and aerobic/anaerobic energy production.

but also maybe it was a mistranslation or also maybe my brain made it up cuz my memory is really tricky

the concept of children having no autonomy to escape hostile groups. its so awful like. adult groups hardly have any school style bullying because people can just leave, change their jobs, go to a different department, file a complaint that actually gets the other person removed (not always, but still). kids are just ignored and left to fend for themselves with no way to escape. very little parents actually change schools if their kids are bullied, and schools rarely ever transfer bullies

#thankfully i have never been bullied #the only place you can get bullied as an adult is like prison or the army or some slavery type job idk #yapping
