i started my classes this week and since this is my last semester of undergrad, i’m actually taking almost all of my classes at the grad school (except for german) … so far they’ve been really amazing and i really like all of my professors! p.s. i made pancakes today for brunch and although some turned out better than others, they were overall very yummy

Writing an essay on a still undecided topic centring around 19th century Ottoman Empire is a fun challenge because I know next to nothing about that area of history and I need to do a lot more reading than I would if I was reading about European history, because I have been learning about that my whole life whereas this is a completely new territory.

29.05.2019 // I was having a really hard time focusing on my exam writing and I couldn’t understand why. Then I realised that I hadn’t eaten any breakfast! Breakfast is so so important to me because my brain won’t function properly without any food. Only a couple of days left until summer break!!

24/03/2019 - It’s been a hard week, loss of motivation, feeling down, homesick and incompetent but I’m starting to figure out how to trick my brain to thinking straight, I am motivated I just need to focus, I am competent I just need to stop comparing my work to others and focus. focus. I need to focus on myself and that’s all that matters. you are all that matter. nothing else should make you feel these negative ways, focusing on you can change a lot and only for the better.

so it’s currently 11:15 pm here in cali and i’m probably gonna be up until 1 am revising for this midterm tomorrow. this is the setup for tonight: my laptop, my hot water, basic pens and markers, my study guide, and my planner. sometimes even the most studious of us don’t prepare well enough beforehand and have to pull a late night, just don’t make a habit of it! but hey, y’all know i’m human and here’s proof, cause i still have two pages of this study guide to finish, wish me luck!!
