Qiu Minye
At the first sight of the photography series “My God” my instant remark was that it was the same with the title. Although I was very familiar with Qiu Minye’s original and unique works, indeed the new series build up a new way of describing the world with pure experience. The “image” is floating lightly in a soft space like a song. The artist only tells the motion and outline, regardless of light, shadow, color and other necessary common conditions. The image equals to the existence itself. We try to identify the object, not difficultly but sentimentally addicted.

Writing is about dealing with failure all the time. Writing is about very often not quite getting to what you’re hoping to get to. Then coming back the next day and getting closer or realizing, “Oh, that wasn’t as bad as I thought it was.”
Brian Koppelman on “Accidental Creative” (via graphei)
“I write because, as wonderful as life is - and it is truly wonderful - it isn’t enough. It does not, for example, contain dragons. I find this unsatisfactory. So I read. And I write.” - Laini Taylor
