okay i don’t claim to be an expert on music festivals but ive heard a lotta people who r WAY more knowledgeable on this stuff say things so
be careful about when we were young fest!
it’s set up by the same people who did astroworld, which is a MAJOR red flag
idk if this is standard for festivals but the tickets are non-refundable, which is kinda sketchy imo (especially during a pandemic)
the site says wristbands are good for “the whole weekend” despite the fact that the festival is only supposed to be one day? which is a weird error
“tickets starting at $19.99 down” but the cheapest tickets are $224.99
the whole thing is 12 hours with 3 stages, which would leave ~32 minutes per set
idk do with this info what you will
disabled adults don’t have “the brains of children” they have the brains of adults with disabilities. just because you can’t understand the difference doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist
infantilization of disabled people is not a new concept but it’s fucked up to remove agency and respect for a person on the basis that they are not like you. also, children aren’t stupid, they’re little humans who just don’t have as much experience as adults. that’s the difference. treating someone like they’re an idiot who can’t think for themself because you think their 18+ years of life “don’t count” is degrading and dehumanizing.
