Hypermasculinity: (a physiological term) the exaggeration of male stereotypical behavior, such an emphasis on physical strength, aggression, and sexuality. From birth, boys are taught to hide their emotions: that any signs of sadness and displays of love are weak. Men are sad, men love and show their love, and do many other things that are (wrongly) gendered as things that only women can do. Men are straight, bisexual, gay, trans, and so many others.
