This topic has been brought up to my attention lately. Ive been watching YouTube videos about it. Everyone gives it a different meaning. What does #FatAcceptance mean to you?

Some people treat like some sort of human right. What I mean by that is people that are over weight/ obese have that mindset that they are being discriminated because of their weight and they use this hashtag to promote obesity. The way these people are promoting obesity is eating whatever they want while being overweight/ obese.

Other people think #FatAcceptance is accepting his/her weight problem and looking forward to make a change to become healthy.

In MY opinion #FatAcceptance is a person admitting his/her weight and making a change to lose weight. I don’t think this just because; I think this because I am currently living it right now. I ended up gaining 206 pounds. To some people it may seem over weight but for my height which is 5’1 I am entering obesity. I realized that this weight is not only dangerous, but it doesn’t represent who I am.

I didn’t get this weight for pleasure I got this weight because I was using food as a coping mechanism. I used food as a tool to “feel better.” Regardless of my weight I do love my body not by the way it looks (I’m working on it) but because I know what I can do. I have my meal plan that’s helping lift weights and lose body fat.

#FatAcceptance #BodyPositivity should be something to help everybody come together and push each other to become healthy and do better. Not promote being unhealthy and become more unhealthy by the day.
