Adopting a cat with Park Jimin
Inspired by the cutest gif I saw of Jimin holding a kitty on a beach. And by the fact that I love cats more than anything else in this world.
Genre: Fluff, as always.
Debating what to name your cat before you've even gone to the shelter
He actually made a list of names for the cat he hasn't even seen yet
Preemptively refuses to name the cat anything stereotypical, like Fluffy or Whiskers
Giddy on the drive to the shelter
Can't stop thinking about the idea of having a cat
Asks you if you think the cats at the shelter will like him
He's low-key stressed that all the cats there will hate him and that you'll need to try another location
But you comfort him by telling him that all of the cats there are destined to love him
This makes him slightly more stressed because now he'll want to adopt every single one of them and will feel guilty for leaving some behind
When you finally pull up to the shelter, Jimin SPRINTS inside
He's immediately started wandering around, visiting every cage and sticking his pointer finger through the grates so each cat can say hi
"Oh gosh, this one's biting me." - "He's a kitten, he's teething."
He's fascinated by all of the cats' different personalities
Particularly drawn to a playful and clumsy little Korat cat named Pebble
"That's a stupid name. She doesn't look like a rock at all." - [proceeds to frown]
"Jimin, she's gray, tubby, and laying on the floor. she absolutely does look like a rock."
Jimin is suddenly out to love and protect this cat with every fiber of his being
Consider Pebble your new daughter! (Though Jimin is insisting that there be a name change)
Jimin ends up naming the cat Misty
He did not let you have any say in it
Looked at her and just knew she was a Misty
You don't fight him on it, because he's right.
Here's your new little cat!
