Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!
Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!
We talk a lot, as a species, about the night sky. It’s one of those subjects that come up more often than, say, the social structure of bees. That’s just an example. Which is interesting, because the social structure of bees is something. It is an active object that can be looked at. And so much of the night sky is nothing at all. It is an empty box. And, like all emptiness, it is a mirror.
Or don’t listen to me. I’m just a lady driving deodorant from one place that doesn’t need it to another. I only say because…well…if you could see what I’m seeing you’d understand. The night sky is something striking right now against the dark silhouettes of the trees. It’s beautiful.
So much that I’ve seen is beautiful. More than you would think. Even the worse things.
And isn’t it funny that the trees blot out the sky? Physical objects as shadows against the void.
We are nothing if not absurd.
We are nothing.
Alice Isn’t Dead Part 1 Chapter 1
I made a poster for my new favourite radio drama, Alice Isn’t Dead.
While working out the colour scheme I also tested a red version, which is more in line with the show’s logo and looked wonderfully ominous, but I stuck to blue to try to capture the feeling I get driving on a remote highway at night. It’s intensely surreal and I both love it and hate it. It’s not just the dark - sure, it’s scary that you can’t see beyond the small circle of your headlights, and the bush goes on and on out into the darkness all around you, so much larger than you - but you are also lost in space and time. There’s no way to relate the tiny piece of road you can see to the rest of the world, so you have no idea where you are and you just have to keep going and hope it will eventually end. You’re lost in time, because it’s been so long since you’ve talked to another person, and the occasional cars you pass don’t really seem like real people, just moving lights. The hours blend into each other, the road blends into itself and you start to wonder if anything is real.
i finished Alice Isn’t Dead today; it was so good, and hardly what i was expecting

The Palestine Reader
The following is a collection of articles, essays, and books on Palestine. These are not introduction texts to the question of Palestine or the Palestinain-Israeli “conflict”. If you need one read The Palestine-Israel Conflict by Gregory Harms and Todd Fery. Further, this is not an “unbiased” or “neutral” readng list. Everything listed below is counter-hegemonic. I feel absolutely no need to provide anything from the Zionist or Israeli point-of-view when that is the dominant narrative. With that said, I believe this provides a diverse, but in no means comprehensive, overview of the discourse on Palestine. A continuously updated page of this list can be found here.

WOW I finally finished this! I’ve been working on it all week (I am not fast)!
I was accepted into Holly Brown’s My Hero Academia zine, True Colors and I am SUPER excited about it! It took me FOREVER to decide on which character/scenario I wanted to draw, so in the end I just drew a bunch. I still want to draw my other ideas anyway, but I really wanted my piece for this zine to be special. I poured my heart and soul into this!!
The zine has a set colour palette and you’re not really supposed to deviate from it. I struggled a lot with it because I didn’t want any of the characters to clash but I also wanted them to still look like themselves. Mina was the hardest, I felt like her pink was really saturated compared to a lot of the other shades, so I tried to balance it out. I think it works!
If you want to see my millions of WIPs for this, follow me in Instagram and check out my WIP highlighs and instagram stories :> https://www.instagram.com/schnumn
Anyway wow I still can’t believe I got into this zine and I’m so glad I managed to do this piece. It’s definitely the most ambitious illustration I’ve done to date. I was trying to channel the vibes of those in between chapter art you get in manga like Bleach :>
Peace!
