(Joshua Hong x Reader)
Genre: Fluff, Humor, Crack Couple Energy
Summary: We all know that Joshua Hong is the most normal in seventeen, and it so happened that his girlfriend is too. When he casually pours orange juice into his cereal and snaps a banana in half like a caveman, she’s horrified— but not enough to judge, because she dips her fries in ice cream. In a relationship where chaos meets chaos, their love is just as weird as they are. A match made in freak.
Joshua paused, his spoon hovering dangerously over the bowl of cereal in front of him. His eyes gleamed with mischief as he met your gaze, his other hand clutching a bottle of orange juice.
You squinted. "Joshua Hong, I swear—"
With a completely straight face, he poured the orange juice into his cereal.
A deep silence settled between you two.
"...You disgust me," you whispered, watching in horror as he casually stirred the unholy concoction like it was the most normal thing in the world.
He took a spoonful, chewed, and blinked. "Not bad."
"Not bad?" You nearly fell off the kitchen stool. "You're insane."
Joshua smirked, setting his spoon down with a flourish. "And yet, you still love me."
You crossed your arms, tapping your fingers against your elbow. "Unfortunately."
"Unfortunately?" he echoed, placing a hand over his heart in mock offense. "Well, if that's how you feel, maybe I shouldn't share my other brilliant ideas with you."
Your curiosity sparked. "What ideas?"
Joshua wiggled his eyebrows, then slowly, deliberately, pulled out a banana.
You raised a brow. "Okay... and?"
Instead of peeling it like a normal person, he snapped it in half with his bare hands, the skin still on.
You gasped. "What the actual—"
Joshua shrugged. "It's efficient."
"No, it's violent!" You clutched your head. "Who snaps a banana like that? Are you even real?"
He chuckled. "I could ask the same thing about you, Miss Dips-Fries-in-Ice-Cream."
You pointed a finger at him. "That is a perfectly valid combination!"
Joshua scoffed, shaking his head. "You're lucky you're cute, or I’d have to report you to the authorities for crimes against food."
You smirked. "Says the guy who drinks lukewarm soda because 'it tastes different'."
Joshua gasped dramatically, hand flying to his chest. "That was supposed to be our secret!"
You grinned, knowing you had him cornered. "Face it, babe. We're both freaks. Just in different fonts."
Joshua tilted his head, considering. Then, with a slow nod, he grabbed your hand and laced his fingers with yours.
"A match made in chaos," he mused, squeezing your hand.
You sighed, unable to hold back your smile. "Unfortunately."
He grinned, pressing a kiss to your cheek. "Fortunately."
A/N: He deserves a girlfriend who matches his energy, that's all I'm going to say, bye-bye!💨🏃♀️➡️
