firm believer in giving your fallout OCs a companion perk and quirk.
javier, my courier, gives you a perk that lets you hand load some downright stupid expensive/destructive ammo that tears through your enemies at the cost of 2.75x wear to the gun. his companion flavor is that he also will not listen to any tactical orders you give him like range, distance, aggression, waiting, etc. which means theoretically, as a companion, he can (and will) leave you with your gun falling apart in your hands and more enemies in range while he's creeping down a ridge on the advance.
Well, this is fun! I'll give it a shot.
This would be Sun Shadow's companion abilities.
Perk: Shadow of the Sun
Traveling with Sun Shadow grants +15% Radiation Resistance. Sunlight slowly restores Health while outdoors.
Quirk: Curiosity Killed... Almost
She's irresistibly drawn to remnants of the Old World. Every so often she'll wander off to investigate something that catches her eye. Fortunately, she usually comes back with a shortcut, hidden loot, or an interesting piece of pre-War knowledge.
One warning, though: NEVER equip her with ranged weapons.
She'll laugh her ass off and say,
"Stay at least 10 meters away from me then... this is going to be incredibly stupid. Trust me."
