Yessir, if I’m honest, the start of this special is downright donkey-heavy thus far. 

We learn the donkey at the nativity scene isn’t accurate… we’re told–

I repeat: the donkey is now singing. 

Christmas. Donkeys. 

Donkeys. Christmas.

…of course. 

Suddenly it all adds up.

i’ve listened to some performances and 100% it’s a new addition meant to be a message from kirstie to evie. i haven’t been able to get every word (instruments/harmonies make it a bit hard) but i do have the first verse, which goes like this:

Elliana, tu primera Navidad mi hijita Será perfecta, sí te prometo, como tus ojos

and a tentative reading of the second verse is:

Elliana, [...] y para siempre La gente va y viene, pero [...] El mejor regalo que he recibido es ser tu madre

which in english would be: “Elliana, your first Christmas my daughter, will be perfect, yes I promise, just like your eyes / Elliana, [...] and forever, people come and go but [...] The best gift I’ve ever gotten is to be your mother”
