when you look at them and see them coexist with each other, you'd think Joshua would naturally baby Minghao - falling into traditional hyung - dongsaeng dynamics. And it wasn't like that was untrue. Shua enjoyed taking care of his dongsaengs. liked feeding them little snacks and patting their heads and overall being looked upto like he had his shit together.
But sometimes when he just wanted to be a person and not a hyung, it was usually Minghao, never one for traditional dynamics, who came to his rescue. Hao with his comforting smiles and reassuring touches and his blunt nature softening into a kind "would you like to have some tea with me" when he noticed shua particularly on edge. Waiting for him even after adapting to eating faster - always patiently there, a soothing presence.
But he wondered how much longer he could be satisfied with patience because soon the sparking embers would turn into a wildfire that consumed him. and he'd let it.
