Ben drowned x fem!reader, cheating, Ben is a shit friend
Drums roared, and strings plucked in the other room; you were used to these noises by now. Your boyfriend had recently started a band, something he had always dreamed of having. Originally, you were thrilled for him, but the novelty wore off after two weeks. You hummed while slicing up some fruits in the kitchen. You had decided to make your boyfriend's bandmates some snacks.
Ding ding
The doorbell randomly loudly throughout the house; however, apparently it wasn't loud enough for your boyfriend to hear. Fine, maybe he was just busy practicing with the guys, you know. Whatever the reason was, you didn't think too hard about it, quickly putting down the knife and rushing to the door.
âHow can I help-â
You felt your air leave your lungs. When you opened the door you were faced with a man you had never seen before. His dirty blond hair practically reached his shoulders, making his oddly pointed ears barely visible through his hair. And his eyes, god, they stood out from his hair, they were a striking red color like rubies. He also had quite a few piercings on both his ears; youâd never seen anyone with so many. You quickly composed yourself,
"Hi,"
"hello."
The air was filled with such an awkwardness you could practically taste it. The two of you stood awkwardly for a few seconds before a booming voice broke the tension,
âY/n, what the hell is taking you so long?â
You jumped at hearing your boyfriend's voice, quickly whipping your head around to face him. âOh, Ben, there you are. We've been waiting for you. What took you so long?â âAh, you know traffic.â Your boyfriend's tone did a 180 from when he was speaking to you vs when he was speaking to Ben. âAlright, well, next time you come to practice, just come in through the garage so that you donât have to see her face.â He let out a cruel laugh, seeming to ignore the fact that you were still right there.
Ouch
He didnât even try to whisper. As the two of them walked away, Ben shot you a look of pity before fully walking away. How did he feel bad for you, but your own boyfriend didnât even hesitate to say such hard words to you? You let out a defeated sigh, âafter everything that I've done for him, youâd think that he'd at least treat me with a bit of decencyâŚâ You and your boyfriend Brian were high school sweethearts. He was the quarterback, and you, well, you were just the leader of the home ec club. You finished plating the fruit into a nicely colored, organized layout. You walked into the band room and silently set it down on one of the empty tables inside the room. You tried to sneak away, but your boyfriend spoke out before you could leave. ââY/n,â
you stopped dead in your tracks, wait, were you scared? Of your own boyfriend? What were you scared of? Your hands shook a bit, âdonât ever bring us something as disgusting as this ever again.â His voice was laced with venom and hatred. You nodded and silently walked out. Nobody confronted him; only one person had a normal reaction, and they looked around, confused. However, even then, he still didnât do anything.
The hallway going towards your room has never been this dark. You opened the door to your room; it creaked. Has it always been this creaky? You let out a sigh before fully shutting the door behind you. The silence in your bedroom was deafening. God, you wanted to cry. When would his practice end this time? You never knew, after all, he never told you or even let you know when it would start. Why did you put up with his shit again? Oh rightâŚ
When you two first started dating, your parents forbade your relationship; however, you head over heels, decided to run away with your true love. Even if you decided to end things now you didnât have a place to go, let alone any funds. You never got a job, he said that he would provide for you. Well, that part wasnât a lie at least.
âUggh, how am I supposed to get out of this mess?â
Knock knock
You jumped up, startled by the sudden knock on your door. You rushed to the door, not bothering to fix the little makeup that you had on. âAh,â in front of you stood the man you now knew as Ben. 'What is he doing here?' while you had thoughts of genuine confusion, Ben wasnât thinking of anything caring, well, at least not caring for you.
'God, she looks heavenly with her makeup smeared and her hair disheveled. Damn, that bastard doesnât deserve her.' Ben quickly snapped out of his thoughts and put on the most lost and confused look on his face. âAh, sorry, I was looking for the bathroom.â A look of disappointment crossed your face. 'Oh, so he's just lost, I guess band practice hasn't ended yetâŚ' You can help the look of disappointment that crossed your face. âoh okay uhm, the bathroom is right there.â You pointed to a door relatively close to your room, âoh thanks.â mhm you hummed before closing the door and walking past your vanity only stopping to look at yourself. âMaybe I should change into some pajamas.â walking over to your closet you pull out a film worthy pair of pajamas, a matching set with all long sleeves, a soft blue color God it was beautiful. Putting It On almost made you fall asleep instantly. The only reason you didn't was due to the knock on your door. â coming!â you stopped daydreaming to open the door only to be met with Ben? Again? This time however he had all this stuff with him now he looked rather nervous.
âhey could I get your number so that next time I get here I could just text you?â
âOh!â
âuhm of course, here.â
You grabbed his phone from them and entered your number sending a quick âthis is Benâ message to yourself. You quietly handed him back his phone and a big smile crossed his face. âThanks! I'm gonna head out now, see you around!â
â See youâŚâ
He waved to you as he ran out.

âHello?â
âWhat's up, y/n?â
âNothing much Ben, just cooking dinner for me and Tim.â
âAll right, well I plan to come over in about 20 minutes. I just wanted to give you a heads up!â you smiled slightly, âokay Ben see you soon.â âSee you soon,â you grabbed an extra plate out of the cabinet for when Ben arrived, after all, Ben was just so sweet for coming to Tim's birthday dinner.
Ben was not coming to Tim's birthday party for him, he was coming there to see you. He had been throwing advances and signs for months now. However Ben was not a patient man, he finally reached his limits. If he pulled this off, let alone on Tim's birthday, God, the ego boost. Maybe he was a sadist, but hey, you wouldn't mind that, would you?
Ben knocked on the door, holding some cheap gift that he picked up from the dollar store on the way here. He didn't put any thought into it; he made it look good so that you didn't question the gift choice. God, you were taking ages. Was Tim already here? fuck his plan would be completely out the window if so.
click
Finally, there you are, God you look so beautiful. It's a shame you dressed up for Tim instead of him. A smile crossed your face.
"Ben! Sorry it took so long, I was getting ready.â
God, you felt terrible for leaving Ben outside for so long. âCome in, here I'll take that for you.â You grabbed the gift from Ben, inviting him inside before locking the door. "Tim isn't here yet, he said that he'll be here around 4:00 p.m.â it was already 2:30 p.m, so you didn't have long to wait. You had decorated the entire house, birthday decorations lined every wall. Ben felt his eye twitch, jealousy, that bastard didn't deserve this, hell he wasn't even here at the moment.
"mind if we wait for Tim in the living room?"
"of course not!"
it had been hours, 8:00 p.m, 5 hours to be exact. Tim still wasn't home, you felt so embarrassed you wanted to cry. You heard shuffling coming from next to you, but you didn't bother to look. Not until you saw the bottom of a glass did you look up and locked eyes with Ben started to cheese when you looked at him.
"Care for a drink?"
he offered you a glass of wine he bought.
"those are my good glasses "
Your voice sounded more.. softer than you remembered. "only the best for such a joyous occasion."
'God, was he always this caring. Maybe if Tim cared a little more like Ben I wouldn't feel like this.' your eyes blew wide for a second, realizing what you had just thought about. You let out a sigh before grabbing your wine glass and taking a long sip. The glass sat down with a loud clink, "I didn't take you for much of a drinker"
"I used to be, Tim told me that it was ladylike to drink a lot, so I quit. Though maybe I'll start drinking again."
"well he's not even surprised that it was that bastard's fault that you stopped drinking."
"you know, I wish that Tim was more like you, you care you show up hell you even show up early."
...
Ben almost choked on his drink, he wasn't expecting that. Did you crave him as much as he craved you? He hoped so.
âso why don't you just date me then?"
Sure that thought did cross your mind but, "I can't just leave him, I have no standing on my own."
"then start to make one. After you stay with me, you can have whatever you want."
Ben was barely holding back now, he had already come unbelievably close to you, all he needed was a yes. you thought about it for a minute, before signing and chugging the rest of your wine,
"sure, why not."
"all right Tim I'm heading out to church now! " you reached into your bag grabbing your house keys.
"you're always at church, did you at least cook dinner?"
you rolled your eyes before heading out the door. You had stopped being obedient to Tim as of late. He still didn't ask how you were doing, or where you were heading, or how you were even getting there. You walked to the corner of the street, looking around before walking up to someone on a motorcycle,
"Hi Ben!â
I wrote this hellas ago, its kinda ass ngl
"holy shit they finally confessed, what comes next--"

You moved in exactly a year ago.
New town, new you, or something like that. A house on the edge of nowhere, tucked into the treeline. When youâd initially bought it, shaking hands to seal the deal, nothing was out of the ordinary. The conversation itself was mundane, but there was a tension in the realtor's shoulders that made you uneasy. His eyes were constantly darting to the windows in every room, always glancing at something just out of sight. It was odd how he seemed so ready to bolt, like there was a threat he couldnât tell you about, a hushed secret that outsiders werenât supposed to know.
You had brushed it off, even when his palm trembled in yours far more than professional jitters allowed. Ignored it when his obvious apprehension built sky high as dusk started to set. This was a good deal, rare and reasonably priced on the market compared to the others. So you packed your bags and settled in, the memory of the troubled salesman long forgotten.
Until that night.
A week in, and you were decently satisfied. Arranging the built-in fire pit for some well-needed rest, when youâd heard it. A rustle of leaves along the borders. Your backyard stretched acres, the fields were vast, your home was isolated from neighbours, and the closest thing you had to civilization was a gas stop on the highway.
You werenât superstitious by any means; logic came first. It was probably just a fox, attracted to the bright lights of your porch, not some ghastly ghoul thatâd come to eat you, right? Shaking your head to rid the thoughts, you resumed your task. Your decor was homey, miscellaneous camping chairs youâd bought on a whim, all circling the bonfire youâd painstakingly started on your own. Armed with a pack of marshmallows and graham crackers, you sighed. Popping the fluffy treats on a cleaned stick and kicking your feet up.
The hearth looked borderline ancient, with scuffed brick and unused for at least a decade; it still worked like a charm, though. Enjoying the warmth, you should have been relaxed, the atmosphere serene, moon hanging bright over the clouds. The breeze was cool enough for a light sweater, comfortably chilled to perfection. There was just this feeling that wouldnât leave you fully, the heaviness of being watched.
Overactive imagination had haunted you since childhood; thatâs all it was, naive anxiety over things that didnât exist. Yet the feeling of eyes on you only grew.
You had eaten through a quarter of the bag by now, distracting yourself with the sugary snacks barely worked, and the once peaceful evening had developed an edge. This was stupid; you were not going to ruin your long weekend because the person who sold you the home had anxiety. The rumours hadnât helped much either; your trips to town were eventful, the people kind and considerate. It was whispers that made you pause, the look of shock, when you told them about your residence.
Patting your shoulder as if they pitied you, gaze drifting to the multitude of missing posters stapled on almost every corner. The words âhow unfortunateâ were never spoken; you felt it anyway. The nonsensical worries flooded your mind, and you decided you were going to silence them once and for all. Whatâs the harm in checking? You were going to do a quick sweep along the perimeter, something to ease the tension.
Youâd gone back inside and grabbed a flashlight, the metal snug in your hold. Feeling confident as you walked. This was just because the house was new, being unaccustomed to your surroundings, had you a little off-colour, thatâs all. The beam swayed back and forth, searching between branches and shrubbery, but nothing. You were about to head back, ready to tell your friends the next day about your little adventure, when you caught it.
A figure, just stray of the spotlight. The shape of a hand, the rest completely swallowed by darkness. It didnât even register at first; you were frozen, not screaming or sprinting, simply standing in place. Nearly unbothered, you slowly tilted the torch up, from his arm to his chest, your head angled back. His form never seemed to end, reaching to the leaves, you donât know how youâd missed him before. Broad in an inhuman way, you had to step back to fully capture him in light, neck hurting from the strain.
The sight hits you full force when you see his face.
A dark blue mask, eyes barren with empty voids in exchange, he looked a part of the shadows themselves. Towering over you, only a few feet away. Cold sweat wracked your body. Donning a black sweater, sleeves rolled up to the elbow, you realized why his hand had confused you. His skin was grey. A muted charcoal, claws in place of dull nails. Stygian and blade-like at his fingertips, you were going to die tonight. It wasnât even his appearance; it was how he carried himself.
The air around him reeked of death, making every instinct preinstalled in your blood scream danger. Your ancestorsâ way of survival. A millennium of defining what it meant to be in the presence of a predator. Palms clammy, you were panicking; therefore, you said the first thing that came to mind.
âPlease donât eat me.â
Squeaked out in a pitiful attempt to be spared. He didnât move an inch, stillness alienating. You were an anxious rambler; this time was no different. âI have marshmallows if youâre hungry?â Then, just barely, he leaned his head to the side, as if he was studying you. You continued anyway. It was a very, very dumb thought, but maybe he was friendly?
âYouâre uh⌠super tall. Thatâs cool, you live around here, or you just prowl the trees for fun?â Awkward and sweaty, you laughed at your own joke. And despite being terrified, you did your best to crack a grin at him. He remained silent. Shifting from foot to foot, you stared at him, and he stared back. His eyes, or lack thereof, were boring into you, the tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. Coughing into your fist once, you cleared your throat, âI just moved in, so, neighbours, am I right?â Shrugging, you chuckled.
He didnât. âI think Iâm gonna turn in, long day and all that. Iâll.. see you around, probably?â Cautiously backing up, you inched towards the house, facing him the entire way. By the time your heel made contact with the porch, he was still here, unmoving as ever. Now, a faint silhouette in the distance, you waved and shouted goodnight.
You didnât sleep a wink.
â˝âââââââââââââââĽ
You truly, in honest to god truth, have no idea how you ended up here.
After your encounter, you began gaslighting yourself into thinking it was a fever dream. That plan immediately went down the drain when he started showing up. Frequently. At first, youâd been jumpy to say the least, stiff while you had your one-sided conversations. Heâd show up at the threshold at random times during the week, always silent and as rigid as the day youâd met him. You didnât know why he kept coming back, or why youâd light your bonfire and wait, you just did. Justified by the fact that if he wanted to hurt you, he would have already.
Over time, his attendance became less scary and more routine. You could rant, spew every living thought you had, and heâd just stand there. You werenât even sure if he was paying attention; it was simply nice to get things off your chest. Then, heâd stopped looming in the evergreen, choosing to sit quietly on a stump a couple of steps behind your chair.
It was kind of charming the way heâd scrunch himself up to fit, the make-shift stool far too small. His hands folded neatly in his lap as he listened. The question of who he was and why he was forefront of your mind, he definitely wasnât a run-of-the-mill man from what you could tell. Aside from the ashen skin and claws, youâd catch glimpses of pointed ears when heâd shift. Hidden under his hood, highlighted by the fire when the wind was in your favour.
Youâd asked before, but you never really expected a response to be fair. Odd fashion choices, you supposed, but who were you to judge? Youâd talk about unceremonious things, a show youâd started, a new recipe you tried, and heâd stay no matter how boring. You spoke to him the way you would a stuffed toy, not quite addressing him, more just filling the air. However, after another night in his mysterious company, it clicked. He was lonely. An answer so obvious that you were disappointed in yourself. The discussion wasnât special or different than the others prior; the pieces just fused.
You couldnât guess what he got up to in the daytime, but you thought you were well within your rights to assume he didnât get out much.
The understanding changed your view of him entirely. And with that, the way you interacted did too. Your fear mellowing out into fondness, your talks stretching longer and longer. Finding comfort with him near, and whether you knew it or not, you were breaking him down. The walls heâd spent years building, soaring and impenetrable, were starting to chip. Jack kept his distance for good reason; he knew what he was. The thing parents would tell stories about to keep their young in bed, the shadow in the closet that youâd have nightmares of.
He was an abomination, born of violence and greed, sacrificed for the promise of grandeur. The ritual forsaking, binding him to walk the earth in chains. Imprisoned by the very hunger that had damned him. The appetite for blood. The need to take, stealing from the innocent, to feed. He had lived more lives than he could count, each more punishing than the last.
He hunted on autopilot, getting it over with and gorging himself full. It made him feel disgusted; most days, heâs numb, and on others, he screams until his throat is raw. An outsider in his own home, his peers wary at best, but he sees the way they judge. As if their hands are not as tainted as his, they talk amongst themselves, sharing meals and inside jokes, and he watches.
Their companionship refuses to extend. When passing around chips or confectionery, heâs skipped. Never considered, like the nourishment will be dirtied if he touches it. The worst part is, he canât blame them. He doubts theyâre aware he can even digest anything other than flesh; how could they? When he returns, emanating finality, when he walks past with crimson dripping from beneath his mask. He hates it, being the boogeyman, even amid monsters.
Thatâs why you were so interesting. He could smell the fear on you, yet you laughed at him. Told him he was tall, and that it was cool. The normalcy of it stunned him, made him return. To watch as he always did, but you started talking to him. Cautious at first, then your scent warped into something sweeter, warmer.
He searched everything for hints of distress, your body language, your tone, your eyes, to the way you sat- and nothing. You trusted him.
He thought you were strange.
You thought he was sad.
So, that night youâd brought him a snack. His hands were always empty while you munched on whatever treat you had. It made you feel a little guilty; perhaps he never talked because he was shy, and you were literally stuffing your face in front of him. Waking up early to prepare, you spent the afternoon baking away. If you were going to offer him food, you were going to do it right.
Packing a basket with the pastries, you descended the foyer, already spotting his emerging figure from the trees. However, instead of facing your seat to the fire, youâd swivelled around. This was new; the basket in your arms was also new. He tilted his head to the side. Just what were you planning? For the first time since youâd met him, he seemed genuinely shocked. Leaning back like a skittish animal as you placed the goods in his lap, he tensed. A couple of seconds passed, and you began to second-guess every decision youâve made up to this point. Was it offensive? Maybe he was allergic? An uncomfortable pause wedged between you, before he broke the silence.
âYou donât fear me.â
A statement. His voice was deep, baritone rumbling low in his chest. The base of it was so guttural you felt it more than you heard it. Peering up, his gaze meets yours, âWhy?â The question was asked softly, for someone who appeared so commanding, he spoke fairly quietly. The contrast was jarring, yet it endeared him to you even more. âWell, I donât know, I thought you looked lonely.â The last syllable left your mouth as he stood. How curious, a human, capable of understanding how he felt.
His frame overtaking you, neck craned up, âI just think youâre neat, I suppose.â Nodding, your eyes flicked to the basket that had slipped onto the grass. âI baked, if you were hungry.â You were a timid little thing, clueless and naive. A fawn ensnared in the claws of a beast youâd willingly thrown yourself at. He couldnât remember the last time someone had looked at him without disdain, and you were so open. Defenceless, almost like a pet, it wasnât your weakness that made his mouth water. It was your trust.
It stirred something in him, a part heâd assumed died long ago. Want. His desire, animalistic and starved, simmered under his skin. Ever-present and ready to snap. You could see it for just a moment, his muscles contracting as if heâs prepared to pounce- before itâs smothered. The heat freezing over, shame taking its place. Guilt and mortification surge through his body in waves. Youâd offered him your efforts in good faith, and his appetite had increased for a completely different reason. It was humiliating to have the lack of control he possessed.
Your words had seemed to take his breath away for the worst. Somehow even more rigid than earlier, this was not the effect you wanted. Backtracking, you sputtered, âIâm sorry if I overstepped- itâs just I always have something when you visit and I realized Iâd never offered before-â A clicking resounded from his throat, eyes (voids) vacant. You fidgeted in place, âYou donât have to eat it if you donât want to, itâs cinnamon rolls I made today. I think theyâre pretty good- ah, I should have asked if youâre allergic.â
The explanation is clumsy, though your earnestness fascinated him, so desperate to make him feel at ease as if you had any power here. Caring so much about his comfort that youâd spent your precious time baking for him. Mortal lifespans were terribly short in comparison to his decades of existence, and you had chosen to waste your constantly whittling human seconds just to not- what? Hurt his feelings? An ever-draining hourglass, each granule of sand adding to the growing mass, counting down to your end. An act so seemingly meaningless to you held a world of weight to him.
A sacrifice. Scarlet dripping down your arms as you proposed it at his decaying shrine, clueless to the fact that this was what had sealed your fate. The moment heâd decided for the first time to keep something for himself. If the devil dealt in blood, this must be his payment for the carnage heâd spilled. His paid bounty finally surfacing, a gift in exchange for all the destruction heâd raged. Wrapped in silk ribbon, his naive rabbit to keep.
Youâd spent the rest of the evening as you usually did, except for his newly added dialogue. He still wasnât much of a talker, but heâd tell you things. Actually answering your questions instead of leaving them to fade into obscurity.
He told you his name was Jack, that he lived far into the woods away from the lights, told you he didnât like the noise. Said that it was better to wear a mask, not expanding further when you prodded. You had learned that he had some sort of enhanced hearing, scent and senses alike, you also assumed he was blind, though you thought itâd be rude to ask, settling on his hobbies instead.
He was smart, thatâs for one. Jackâs knowledge of the medical field was no joke; he knew about intricacies you hadnât even heard of, and that he liked order and schedule. Organization, spending his time memorizing the way the trees moved, mapping out the forest trails and the wildlife that inhabited them. It was admirable how much he noticed about such tiny details, picturing his lumbering form silently staring at squirrels while he walked past made you giggle.
His responses drifted from vague to elaborate; it felt like youâd both known him your entire life and only met him today at once. Nonetheless, a routine had formed. And so had your solace in him, an unlikely companion was a companion all the same.
Or so you thought.
â˝âââââââââââââââĽ
The anxiety of the houseâs surroundings became a far-off memory.
Rarely crossing your mind, you worked, you rested, and in between, you had a friend to keep you company. Yet, the word friend was becoming more denial than fact by the day. Your initial impression of Jack was fear-inducing, clouded by distrust and adrenaline, then it was baseline acceptance, and currently it rests at humbling and embarrassing attraction. The traits that had you recoiling in shock now had you doing a double take, not in disgust or terror, but in longing.
His outfits remained more or less the same; it wasnât new clothes or anything of the sort that drew you in, it was the minute attributes that slowly caught your attention as your perception of him altered.
First, his height. It had stunned you the night youâd run into him; presently, you had to take a breath every time he ducked under a doorway not to say something obscene. Towering in all his might, the worn-down fabric stretched across his chest, struggling to contain his brawn with each step he took. And he was broad, shoulders stacked with high-strung muscle, built for pressure and gruelling labours you couldnât name.
The same claws that had frightened you made you want to douse yourself in ice water; you think your entire head could fit in his palm. Faint scars littering his forearms, youâd watched as the veins in his hand bulged when he helped you move a table. Lifting the heavy oak with an arm, not a single grunt, either, it was effortless. One time, you were so entranced in your daydream about what itâd feel like if heâd just pick you up and squeezedâ
He had to have called your name at least three times to snap you out of it.
The worst offender? His voice. Like the purr of an engine every time he spoke, smooth and low. As deep as bourbon. He didnât speak much, and when he did, it reminded you of distant thunder. Resonate in the way it commanded, never failing to make you shiver. You thanked your lucky stars he couldnât see, saving you the humiliation of being caught glancing at him excessively, or the way you pouted with want when heâd move a certain way, his hoodie rising just above his belt.
Your face growing hot, eyes averting his face when heâd lean down to listen. The way youâd squeeze your thighs together when heâd hum by your ear in agreement. He was your friend, so when youâd mention you needed something fixed around your home, heâd do it without question.
The shameful part came when he would grab the tools, and youâd tell him you were going to read. The lie was always said confidently. You were most definitely not going to read or spend any time in your room, trailing behind him as quietly as you could, peaking from the corner while he worked. It was terrible, and you knew it; the guy couldnât see, and you were using that to your advantage like a pervert. He would kneel by your sink or wherever and tinker about, with your figure tucked by the roomâs edge.
He navigated your space with ease, most likely due to his intensified awareness, you presumed. You tended to forget he didnât possess the same sight you did, rushing up to him, picture in hand to show him a stupid doodle youâd made, to be met with nothing. A slight head tilt and silence, freezing for a brief moment before you start prefusely apologizing. Jackâs response was the same every time. Bringing up a loose fist, his knuckles brushing your nose bridge, before tapping your forehead twice with his thumb. A way of teasing you, his version of vocalizing he took no offence.
His face is hidden by the mask, but you swear heâs grinning at least a little behind it. You imagine the quirk of his lips, the way his cheeks pull up just a tad, you think his smile would be nice. You also think itâs an absolute crime that no one has hit on him before, appalling, actually.
Selfishly, youâre grateful, though that doesnât make the information any less shocking. Youâd brought it up in passing if he was seeing anyone, and heâd turned to you with such visible confusion youâd laughed. In theory, it made sense; in practice, it did not. Like have you seen him?
Over seven-feet-something of straight man, hulking yet gentle, and aside from his vaguely questionable hobbiesâ he was nearly perfect boyfriend material. Gentlemanly, where he didnât even try, the type to cup the corner of tables when youâd bend to pick up a dropped mug. Closing cabinets so you wouldnât hit your head in the bustle, and grabbing your bags before you could even decide if you needed help or not.
Jack was thoughtful, far more considerate than you think people gave him credit for. And perhaps if you told your peers you were in love with some lone-wolf forest dweller who lacked eyes, theyâd judge you, but thatâd only be because they hadnât met him. You guaranteed that if he had a night on the town, heâd have suitors lining the block. You told him that. Making a joke about it when he was staring at you like you were crazy for insinuating he, the literal embodiment of the silent type trope people dreamed about, was taken. He had shaken his head, pinching your cheek softly, then returning to his task.
Patient, tall and humble. And he almost one-hundred-percent did not see you like that. This must be hell.
â˝âââââââââââââââĽ
Jack was not blind.
As a matter of fact, he had better sight than anyone else on the planet.
Demon biology and science were tricky; he didnât have physical eyes, sure. However, he could see just fine, analyze moving creatures even miles away if he wanted; his âviewâ of things worked vastly differently from the average personâs. The first time youâd stumbled and apologized, he had half the heart to correct you, until you blushed.
He could feel it, the blood rushing to your cheeks, then you mumbled out some shy excuse about your bad memory. Twisting your thumbs together, pupils dilated as you blinked up at him. It was adorable. He knew it was probably bad and very misguided to lie to you like this; he simply couldnât help himself. You and your puppy-like curiosity, so excited to show him the most mundane things, because you thought heâd like it. A cool rock you had, or a funky colored sticky note youâd found, as if your eagerness would overwrite your previous knowledge of him.
It was awfully indulgent on his behalf, yet he didnât have it in him to cease. Especially when you started following him around, nearly tripping over yourself in an attempt to be discreet. It became a game, pretending he didnât see you, ignoring your inaudible giggles behind your hand when heâd move something heavy for you. Acting like he hadnât noticed you peering from the hallway, mouth pressed into a thin line in fear of being caught while he was repairing a rickety chair leg. He was well aware he was playing with fire; you didnât even know who he was, what he did, let alone what he was.
But was it truly so wrong to preserve this one thing?
All he did was serve under orders; his dictator left him alone most times, but that didnât mean he was free to do as he pleased. Patching up wounds day and night, drowned in violence at hours on end. Saving the lives of people who would leave him to bleed if they got the chance, not even in feeding did he have reprieve. An act so impossibly human warped into something despicable by most standards.
He was deluded at this point because, somehow, a part of him believed youâd stay. Stay when you inevitably find out, stay when heâd confess to you his wrath, stand by his side when heâd return to you, soaked in gore and carnage. You had to, wouldnât you? Heâd shown up in the middle of the night, looking like death itself, and youâd grinned at him had you not? Heâd returned time after time, as mysterious as the last, and youâd welcomed him, had you not? Giddy when in his presence, your joy seeps into his bones, and he can smell you. Smell your craving. Your lust. The scent is sickly sweet, thick molasses that coats the walls. Borderline taste the heat that coiled between your plush thighs.
Your want comes in waves, knocking the air out of his lungs, the second it hits his nostrils. And it was getting harder and harder to ignore, spit collecting under his tongue as you bluff. Sitting in front of him, pretending your core wasnât slick with need, all because he was close to you. A lamb to the slaughter, presented on a silver fucking platter. The control on his own desires waned every time you pushed too close, leaned in too far.
He was growing restless, the energy making his body taut. He started hunting more, feasting with abandon, tunnel vision stuck on his memory of you. Winter was approaching fast, and he needed more meat to keep him satiated than normal, primal instincts taking hold. Jackâs hunger was blistering; he wanted to devour you whole.
And he was sure youâd thank him with a smile on your face.
â˝âââââââââââââââĽ
There had been a shift in the air recently.
The forest around your residence had turned quiet. Originally, youâd assumed it was the weather that had driven the birds away, but this seemed⌠different, strange in a way. The silence felt unnatural, like the wildlife was hiding from something. Chased away by an invisible threat, the once lively trees had fallen still. It left a strange ache you couldnât quite place. As for Jack, heâd been weird lately, too.
The last time you saw him, his shoulders were tense, and he barely answered any of your questions. It didnât feel like he was irritated or annoyed, just distant; as if his mind were elsewhere. Responding to everything you said with grunts or stiff nods, his body jerking faintly once and a while, resembling a predator holding itself back.
Heâd abruptly stood up when you were reading on the couch, arriving only a few hours earlier before suddenly storming out. That was weeks ago. You were worried, staying up on random nights just in case heâd stopped by and no one was there to open the door. He did have the spare key youâd given him; you just wanted to see him the second he returned. Wracking your brain for anything you couldâve done to set him off, yet you canât remember a single time in the past month he had even disagreed with you. He was fine, nothing was standing out, leaving you to stew in your own confusion and fret. Your concern was solely focused on himâ
Until you started noticing the blood.
Stark against the fresh snow, the faded red streaks weave between the timber. Specks spread across the yard; you had tried to rationalize it, you lived in the woods for godâs sake, just because it was a little quieter than usual didnât mean the animals stopped existing, stopped hunting. It didnât mean the rumours were true.
Then, you noticed the claw marks. Dug into the bark, stretching across the trunks and dragging into the frozen soil. They were ragged, angry, left by something starved. The scores were sizable; whatever creature that had done them had to have been massive, some too high up to be from a bear. You werenât close to the hillside either, mountain lions out of the question, and even if you were, what kind of feral cat leaves scratches like that?
None of it was making sense; the lacerations didnât look sporadic either. Your property had been marked. Ice filled your veins as you stared; you hadnât even realized how much time had passed.
The sun was long gone, dusk setting heavy over the treeline. A gnawing dread had begun creeping in; you were terrified. If it were on paper, perhaps you could have brushed it off, chalked it up to nerves. Youâve dealt with strays before; this was another variant entirely. A finality in the air that wouldnât shake. Along with your worry for Jack, you selfishly wished he were here to protect you. His unyielding nature, always reliable, sturdy and safe. He appeared to be able to keep a cool head about almost anything. Heâd know what to do, where to go, what to say to stop the tremble in your hands.
You were close to tears when you spotted it, cold sweat lining your back. A flicker amongst the trees. Moving far too fast to be human or animal, the shadow ripped its way through the shrubbery. Breaths picking up, you darted behind your sofa. You knew it was a bad hiding place, but something in the way it advanced told you shelter was pointless. Pulling your knees to your chest, you clamped a palm over your mouth to muffle the petrified sob. A growl echoes out; the sound is guttural, reverberating through the walls, shaking the glass windows as the wind wails.
Eyes shutting tight, you curled into yourself. Of course, this would happen when he was away. At this moment, you wouldâve given anything to bring Jack back to you; heâd know how to fix it, he always did. When youâd panic over something stupid, he would soothe you in a way only he could. But Jack wasnât here, and you were alone. Scared out of your mind with a hell bound beast encroaching on your home, you didnât want to die.
The fear was unlike anything you had ever felt, chilling you from the inside out. It spread like a parasite, aching in your lungs with every breath, twisting your stomach to nausea. You hiccuped, hugging your legs close. You didnât want to die- this wasnât fair, and if something happened to you, what would happen to him? Your dearest friend, more loved than heâd ever know, and youâd never even gotten the chance to tell him. The porch creaked loudly, heavy steps thudding against the frosted wood; you wanted to scream.
The door swings open, breeze screeching in the background. The cold is rushing in, draft circling the room, and the lock clicks shut. Apparently, this beast had manners. Heartbeat deafening in your ears, then you hear it. The tell-tale shuffling of boots, Jack. Shooting up, you spun around, already stepping past the couch. Relief flooding your body, lips twitching up, you wanted to laughâ tell him about how scared of the storm you got without him.
Heâll probably think youâre ridiculous, shake his head a tad and ruffle your hair. Scold you softly, say youâve been watching too many movies, reading too many books, with a reasonable explanation on the tip of his tongue. Rounding the corner, the words died in your throat. The tempest had cut your power, but even from where you stood, you could tell something was horribly wrong.
The darkness of the hallway enveloped him. He stood off-center, shoulders hunched, his hands limp by his sides, twitching every couple of seconds. It was too dim to see clearly, yet you caught it anyway. A thick, viscous liquid, dripping from under his mask, now that you had noticed it, you realized he was drenched in it. The scent reaches your nose a beat after, metallic.
â⌠Jack?â
Muttered weakly. His head tilted down, like he was observing you. You knew it was him, so why were you so uneasy? His foot dragged an inch forward, your legs reacting before your mind, subconsciously taking a step back. He notices, he always does. When you were anxious, when you were hungry, because you forgot to eat breakfast, when you were scared.
The notion hurts him; your fear felt violating and wrong in his body. The pained howl he lets out has every hair on the back of your neck standing on end. Sharply pitched, inhuman as he continues to stalk closer. You shuffle away further, retreating, and it upsets him. You looked so terribly fragile, meek, with tears still clinging beneath your lashes. He needed to warm you, to keep you safe, it was blizzarding outside after all, and he knew how anxious you got during blackouts. His mask took a hit during the hunt, and his hood had been knocked off somewhere along the way. The buckle too withered to hold up the weight, finally snapping, mask slipping off and clattering to the floor. You barely register the sight before he crosses the hall in three strides.
His face. Gaping sockets where his eyes should be, filled with black tar that smeared his skin. He says your name, or a version of it anyway. Voice warbling deeper than you thought possible, cadence unsteady. Reaching out for you, his clawed hand brushes your cheek, catching a tear that falls when you blink.
âLittle lamb.â
It barely sounded like him, and all you can do is stare. His mouth opens, tongues sliding out to wet his lips. Wait, tongues..?
Your eyes widen as they swiped along the edge of his teeth. Pointed and sharpened, like they could bite through bone. He presses his forehead to yours, arms caging you in. Your hands instinctively pressed against his chest, clutching the damp fabric. You trust him, yet your gut is screaming for you to run, the inner battle making you shake in his embrace. Brows furrowing, why wasnât this working?
Shivering meant you were cold; it meant you were vulnerable. The scent of your distress sets off alarm bells in his head; his urge to consume and preserve you clashing. A gravelly and repetitive clicking resonated from his throat, overlapping his speech, âCold. Why do you tremble so, mi ocelle?â The concern emitted from him in ripples, apprehension so heavy it felt as if you were suffocating. âI- I was just worried about you, itâs⌠storming out.â
You didnât know what to say; the events playing out were something youâd never learnt to plan for. What were you to do when the devil was at your door with a bleeding heart in his hands? Perhaps you were foolish. Naive in ways others would never understand, but if the Morningstar were yours, then it must be in your fates to be burned.
Leaning in, he cooed. âYou were worried⌠for me?â Your timid confession seemed to appease him, nuzzling your face with his. Amusement blooming across his features, he traced up your spine, the edge of his talons fraying cotton. âPrey tell, my dove. What do you fear?â Your mind was racing for an answer, searching for something- anything- that wasnât him.
Swallowing, you stuttered, âI thought- I thought I saw something in the woodsââ He hummed, like this was fun, like he knew. Reading the barren truth that you could only deny for so long. âIt was by the window. I saw it earlier, I swear-â Cutting you off when he suddenly withdraws. The frost was a harsh contrast, his warmth no longer shared. âThen letâs look together. To ease you.â He glances at you once from over his shoulder, turning as he heads for the living room.
The plush entryway carpet does little to comfort you, following in his steps until stopping in front of the aperture, your stomach in knots. Jack leaned back against the frame, almost leisurely. âDescribe it to me, wonât you?â You toed at the rug, ankle bumping the coffee table leg.
âIt was tall- and it growled so loudly the house shook.â
His shoulders twitched, stature reaching above the windowsill. His brawn obstructs the moonâs glow, the shadows spilling like ink. As if you were framed by deathâs silhouette. Baritone purr rumbling deep behind his ribs.
âIs that so?â
âYes, and it left these gashes on the trees. Blood trails in the snow-â
The muscle in his forearms twisted while he gripped the glass ledge, sable keratin tapping the surface in rhythm. They gleamed under the pale light, dark crimson dripping off the razor edge and splattering up his hands like paint.
âI see.â
âAnd it sounded hungry, like it wanted to devour me in one bite.â
Tongue dragging along his teeth, nearly drooling. The weight of his eyes left goosebumps in their wake. Sweeping from your pouty cheeks to the flushed curves of your chest. Memorizing your damp skin.
âStarved, Iâm sure.â
âIt was tearing apart everything in its path, and moving too fast to be an animal- I donât know- it- it was like aââ
âMonster?â
Your head snapped up. Empty voids boring into you, black oil mixing with red. His complexion, the claws, you couldnât decide if you were stupid or so desperate for attachment youâd refused to see the signs. It was always there, a whispered thought when the conversation died down, a realization when his hand would jerk at the sight of the news. Now it was too late, the monster was in your home, and he was going to eat you alive. With nowhere to turn, panic seizes you, breath coming in shallow pants. Jackâs face was unreadable, eerily still.
You spin on your heel, sprinting up the stairs. He was standing next to the main hallway entrance; you wouldnât be able to get past without him grabbing you. You can hear the harsh thud of footsteps from behind, hot on your tail. You know it was futile, yet adrenaline clouded your judgment. Running like hell, as fast as you could, swerving around the staircase railing the second your feet hit the second floor. It didnât matter if he was going to catch you; you needed to get away. Ducking in through the gap of the bedroom door, you carefully made your way to the ensuite bathroom.
It was over; you just wanted to go on your terms, have some time to think before it ended. Being a human was truly awful, you think. Because in all of this, the part that bothered you the most was how much you enjoyed being held by him. His touch, the way he brushed away your sadness, and now he was coming to slaughter you. How ironic is that? That even now, being hunted, you still wished he were there to comfort you.
Vision blurring, you laughed to yourself. The bathroom didnât have a lock; you slid down the wall and onto the cool tile. The floorboards creaked beneath his boots, stopping outside the door. The knob turned slowly, and he pushed it open. When you saw him, it made your chest heavy. He looked handsome like this, the moonlight from the window outlining his frame. He was pretty, beastly features or not, they were his, and that was enough. âCan you at least do it fast? I baked you cinnamon rolls, yâknow.â Wobbly smile on your lips, you tensed. Bracing for the impact, the numbing pain of a puncture wound, but it never came.
Opening your eyes, you sniffled. Jack had knelt in front of you. Docile, unmoving and rigid as stone. Submission in the way bite-ridden guard dogs revere sheep. âSuch a peculiar little thing.â Said softly, hushed and low. Not snarling or pouncing on you like you expected, simply quiet, handling you with care as he always did. Scooting closer, he tucks your frenzied hair behind your ear before resting both hands on your legs. His thumb rubbed in gentle circles against your calf, âYou thought I was going to kill you?â
The lightness of his tone makes you blink, like scolding a child for not holding on when they were afraid of the dark. Shedding tears for something so easily fixed. âSo sure I was your end, yet your body still calls for me.â He had you pinned, half crawled over you as he spoke, the random jolts that wracked his body worsening by the second. Faces inches apart, you could see the restraint that held him together, the slight shake in his breathing, how his hand flexed, nails digging into the porcelain. âI can smell it, mellilla.â Dipping his head to your neck, he inhales deeply before his teeth break your skin with little effort. You flinch at the feeling, gasping.
You grabbed onto his sweater, eyes watering in confusion. It hurt; the laceration was shallow enough not to be fatal, just deep enough to bleed. His tongues lapped at the mark. You were so sweet. Groaning as he swallows, and you shiver at the sound. His knee was pressed between your thighs, rocking back and forth every time he moved. The pain was slowly melding into gut-churning heat, wires crossing in your head, you whined. Breathing hard, he shifts, hips grinding down.
âYou have no idea, do you?-â The zipper of his jeans nudged against your clit, your thin sleep shorts were riding up, and the pressure had you dripping. â-What you do to me, fuck.â His assault on your throat never faltering, drinking in your nectar. Sinking his canines in deep over your pulse, he needed to feel it. Had to taste your heartbeat or heâd lose his mind. Hot tears streamed down your cheeks, and you clung to him as if he were a lifeline, squeaking when he started gulping at your spilling wound. âSorry- I know. It hurts, doesnât it?â Muffled against your skin, his apology fell on deaf ears.
Parting from you with a wet pop, strings of blood and saliva stretched from his jaw to your neck. More beast than man as he sat back on his haunches, chest heaving. His lids drooped low, drunk off it, âLook at you, my little rabbit. Ripe enough to eat.â Hooking a finger under your shirt, he yanks it up in one swipe. Claw slicing it cleanly, leaving you bare. It made his mouth water. Caging you again, his mouth clamping around the perky nub. Writhing, your back arched off the floor. Arms secured to your sides by his palms, Jackâs strength was otherworldly. Even through his sweater, the contours of his body were unmistakable.
The ache had you dizzy, cunt throbbing in pulses with each nibble he took, littering your breasts in bruises and cuts. Tongues acting as a salve, easing the sting with gentle licks. Mewling, you pushed up into his mouth. He didnât touch you like he wanted to fuck, he touched you like he was trying to rapture your soul. Have you reborn, remade, fracture your very cortex until the only thing you remembered was him.
Bodies moving in tandem, driving his hips to a slow, agonizing grind. Simulating sex, the same motions, yet not quite there. Your head was spinning, denim stained where your cores met. âYouâd forgive me, wouldnât you? If I got too hungry, youâd let me have you-â When you said he was going to kill you, this wasnât what you had pictured at all. The base of his words had you squeezing down on nothing, crying to be filled. He kisses you softly, to mar you right after. â-Let me lick your bones clean, show everyone my teeth- so theyâd know how delicious you were. How divine you satisfied me-â
It was sick, vile, the fantasies he spun, your lust betraying your principle. Lips molding to yours, his tongues violating each centimetre of your mouth. You gagged around the intrusion, slimy and tentacle-like; they swarmed the cavity. Proding deeper, his mouth latched as he fucked your throat. Only pulling back once you were on the verge of passing out, fist rapidly slamming against his side. Your lungs burned, black spotting your vision, fear reaped amore that seeped into the darkest corners of your mind.
His cock throbbed with need, hefty against your cunt, and you could feel each and every pulse. Itâd tear you apart, larger than you thought possible; youâd never wanted anything more in your life.
Panting above you, the chuckle that left his lips was manic. âTheyâd wage war in envy, massacre their own kind- driven to madness that they couldnât have you.â Laving at your collar bone, the heat in your stomach on the brink of scorching, coiling tight. Youâd soaked through the fabric, wetness making it stick to your folds, âBuild shrines in your name, frame your ribs in mausoleums just to admire-â His rutting growing harsh, desperate and feral, âWorship you like religion. Offer gold and jewels- sacrifice their gods at the foot of your tomb.â Your release hits you hard, euphoria choking you. Jack, close behind, cumming with a hollowed groan, the aftershocks making his hips jolt. Unrelenting, when his pace fails to cease, not giving you a chance to recover.
âYouâre cruel to me, my lamb-â Arms cocooning you, he lifted you off the tile, trapping you to him. His words pierce through the fog, âI- I donât understand.â Huffing out his nose, he laughs, exasperated. âYou think I couldnât see you? Hiding behind corners, following me around like a needy pup.â The admission floods you with embarrassment, pouting as you try and avoid his gaze. âI thought you were-â he interrupts you, amused. âBlind? How quaint.â
Mocking and adoring all at once, you were so fun to play with. âIt was adorable, you know. Pretending you werenât there, watching you stumble and apologize.â He leaned in close, mummuring against your ear, âPretending it didnât have me starved.â
The cadence sends goosebumps down your back, shoulders bowed while you whine. âAlways so kind, hm? Donât worry, even if my sight did not lead me-â kissing down your neck, he continues. â-There are plenty of other ways to indulge, are there not?â Leaving hickies in his path, nicking your fevered skin, âSound.â Teeth grazing, before sinking in, your lips parting in a sharp gasp, âJack.â Trailing further, slipping his hands from under you, and gripping your hips. Hard. His talons penetrate the fat of your ass, drawing blood. âTouch.â Pain and pleasure laced, and all you could do was lie there and take it.
Crawling down your body, bruises blooming over your abdomen. Mouth dragging over your tummy, your navel and pelvis. He snags the waistband of your shorts with his canines, jerking his head back harshly and shredding them off you. He borderline growls when his eyes land on your pussy. He thinks they should hang paintings of your cunt at the fucking Louvre. Puffy and weeping, beautifully delicate as he runs the pad of his thumb up your slit. âAnd-â collecting the syrup, his grin stretched wide, a smirk that had you gushing,
âTaste.â
He dives in, lapping at your aching clit with fervour. It was too much, too fast. Convulsing, your hands shot to his hair, grabbing at the messy locks. Thighs snapping closed, bracketing his head. His tongues were everywhere, nose buried in your mound, wet squelching filling the room. âOh- ngh- fuck.â You were crying, screaming as if you were being murdered. He uses your waist as leverage, thrusting you into his mouth. The tendrils reached deep, fucking you rough while his nose grinded on your sensitive bud. They scissored you open, devouring you whole, and you felt dizzy. Arching, your heels dug into his back, âSâtoo much- Jack, please- I canât.â
He groaned into your heat, your pleas making him rut against the floor. You were shaking something fierce, the pressure building in your gut becoming unbearable. âW-wait, please- please, feels weird-â His tongues were hitting your spot over and over again, eyes rolling back as your body went taut. The orgasm was cataclysmic. Your cunt pulsed wildly, liquid splurting out. It coated his jaw, spraying across his face; you couldnât even think. Brain completely emptied and ears full of cotton, Jack still gulping down your spillage. He pulls off of you with a sticky smack, breathing heavy, âMessy girl.â He taunts. Sitting up, he grabs the back of his hood, throwing it off in one swoop.
Shoulders sculpted, sweat beading down the contours of his chest, and you stared shamelessly. Gaze drifting from his flushed and heaving pecs to the divots of his V-line, happy trail peaking over his belt. He tugs at the buckle, the metal clasp falling open with a clink. Popping the zipper, he wrenches his cock free, and the sight made your eyes widen. The head drooled with pre, sitting dense in his hand, it looked like it weighed pounds.
There was no way that thing was fitting inside you. âI donât know if I canâŚâ Trailing off, hesitance contorting your features. âItâs going to hurt.â Blunt and matter-of-fact, and you knew he wasnât boasting. Not for ego or otherwise, it was simply a warning. âBut youâre strong, I know you are.â
Yanking you by the hips, he settled between your legs, lining himself up. âRemember to breathe, my flower.â Soothing you, as he nudges his cock against your entrance. The tip struggles past the tight ring before sinking in, the stretch making you hiss. Your fists are balled up at your sides, tears immediately gathering at your lashline. Whimpering, it felt like he was ripping you in half. âShh, I know- doing so well. My brave girl.â He hushes you gently. Gathering your hand in his, he presses your palms flat and intertwines your fingers. âSqueeze when it gets too much.â
Rocking forward, he pushes in an inch, your pained whine bouncing off the walls. âJust focus on my voice, can you do that for me?â Forcing your lids to stay open, you nod, âOkay.â But as his hips buck barely a centimetre, your panicked yelp stops him in his tracks. âIt- it hurts- I canât.â
Hiccuping, you were quivering like a leaf, face scrunched uncomfortably. Cooing low in his throat, he drops his head closer. Tongue collecting the salt on your cheeks, âPoor thing, why donât we play a game? To distract you.â You sniffled, âA game?â He hums, nose brushing yours. âWhen I move, youâll count.â Explaining slowly, he kisses you, reassurance mixing with saliva. âDo you trust me?â The question whispered, sacred against your lips, and your eyes fluttered shut. âYes.â
With your green light, he begins to thrust, carefully and reverently. Shaft glistening with your slick, he slides deeper. âOne.â You sighed, breath fanning across his skin, âThatâs it, good girl.â You felt like silk around him; it was intoxicating. His length is dialating your walls, âTwo-â The once prickling twinge had started to dull, melding into a warm simmer amidst your thighs. You clutched his hand firmly, âAh- three.â Gliding in and out, probing further. He grunts, restraint wearing thin. âFour.â He was hardly halfway, and you swore he was in your lungs. Jack shuddered over you, vein prominent against the lines of his neck, Adamâs apple bobbing.
Jaw slack, his spit dribbling onto your skin, carnal and dangerous. His teeth bared as he let out a strangled keen, âForgive me, my sweet.â His hips were jerking before you could even comprehend what heâd said. Slamming to the hilt, and you wailed. âGods, you feel- fuck-â He panted, head flung back. Tremoring violently while he held you flush. You went limp, the sensations overwhelming you, fully speared on his cock. So impossibly filled, the last of his control had withered to ash.
He fucked into you like an animal. Hard and fast, brows furrowed in ecstasy. Bruising grasp on your waist, using your pussy as a sleeve, he raises you. Bouncing you as if you weighed nothing. One hand tugging at your wrist, the other keeping you steady. âFeels so good- canât fucking stop.â Your back bowed, helpless. Shockwaves sparked up your spine each time you sank on his cock. Molten iron pounding against your cervix, branding your cunt with his lust. The climax takes you by surprise, whiting out your vision. You clenched on him so hard he could barely move, glands pulsing as he stuffed you.
The sticky lacquer is pumping you full, leaking out and puddling on the bathroom floor. Tongue like lead in your mouth, you slurred, âJ-Jack- ngh.â He doesnât even blink, slipping you off, he flips you. Your arms were jelly, crumbling onto your chest, face pressed to the cold tile. Ass propped by his claws, he slides back inside in an instant. Sanity draining with each second, he couldnât feel your warmth.
Your body jolted roughly from the power of his thrusts, drilling into you with abandon, frantically chasing his release. His veins had been flooded with magma, broiling him alive. Thumbs kneading at your flesh, spreading you wide, he lets out punched groans when his balls slap against your clit. A milky ring is forming at the base of his shaft, gluey and opaque. Lewd plaps filling your ears, his palm pressed your arch down into a perfect semi-circle, driving deeper and deeper, âChrist- you take it so pretty, my lamb- fucking made for this werenât you?â You scratched at the foundation, delirious, he was so strong. So big, fucking his authority into you, ruining you for anyone else.
Your eyes crossed- stomach bulging from his girth, you couldnât think, couldnât breathe, sobbing as drool leaked out of your agape mouth. Jack was mounted on you like a dog.
Lugging you up, manhandling your boneless form, he bends you over the sink counter. Chiselled hips pummeling you from behind, his flexed bicep locked around your throat. The mirror had fogged with condensation, the tap sputtering from the ruthless tempo, and you barely recognized yourself. It was pornographic the way he had you, something youâd see on the front page of an exed out website. And he wasnât faring any better, dishevelled strands stuck to his forehead with perspiration. Skin dewy, globs of slick and cum dripped down your legs, he sounded gone. Huffing, âMade for me, made to be bred- should I keep you like this?â His pace quickened, close to the edge, âKeep you full, begging for my cock? Chained and desperate- youâd like that, no?â
Your brain failed to form a cohesive thought, high on the pleasure, âAh- p-please-â The response fuelled his rut; he needed to sear his print onto your flesh. Stain you like possession, sovereignty over your spirit, heart and womb. Jack snarled, seething, and he yanked your head back. The climate is sweltering, pressure on your airways tightened, âWords, girl.â He was so mean, abusing your poor cunt. âYes- please, want it. Wanâ it sâbad.â Shrill cry, leaving your lips.
This wasnât sex; it was ownership.
His release paints your walls lava-hot, stars bursting behind your lids. Before the afterglow has a chance to reach you, he throws you over his shoulder. Kicking the door open with his foot, the hinges screeching loudly, and you dangled almost lifelessly in his hold. Stepping into the room with little ceremony, he tosses you on the mattress, landing with a bounce.
He was gorgeous, the crescent light peeking through the curtains, tongue running along his sharpened canines. Sultry as he crawled between your thighs, up your body, famished. Prowling, eyeing you like sweet prey- he had you under him for hours. It was ritualistic, claiming and methodical; his devotion clung to you in smoke. Whispering scripture against your skin in languages older than the earth itself. Pulling orgasm after orgasm from your yielding body, refusing to stop until youâd forgotten your own name.
You were a mural of depravity, illustrated in fever. Aphrodisiac tinted with Jack as your artisan.
Ankles by your ears, you had lost count of how many times heâd made you scream, the bliss blending, and the only thing that existed was him. All encompassing, and drilling into your oversensitive pussy. âSâtoo m-much- I canât.â His chuckle mocked, âToo much? And here I thought you wanted to be mine-â He was bullying you, cruelly pressing down on your bloated tummy. Weeping tip knocking mercilessly into your soft spot, you flailed against the sheets, twitching and whining pathetically. âPlease, I canât- I canât-â babbling, you gushed around his girth, completely drenching his abs. He had fucked you dumb.
Snickering, he snaps his hips forward, pelvis flush and grinding on your puffy clit. âLiar.â And he began jackhammering into you, unrelenting, his weight folding you in half. The headboard slammed against the wall vigorously, pictures tumbling off the nightstand, mattress squeaking every thrust. Its movements were so harsh that they left indents in the plank flooring. His muscles rippling with exertion.
Claw hooked beneath your knee, his free hand reaching up to strike the bedpost with a bang. It splinters under his strength, and you moaned like a whore. âOne more- give me one more, my life.â He grunted, panting and burying his face into your shoulder, the linen shredded to bits.
The frame was thrashing, creaking noisily with warning. His cock swelled at the base, the stretch burning as he forces it passed your opening. Knot stuffing you full, filling you to the brim, and you writhed hysterically- digging your nails into his back. Shallow scrapes littered his skin, from his shoulder blades to his tensing arms. âMmph- oh god, mâcumming- Jack-â It blazed from your head to your toes, igniting everything in its path, thrumming in your blood. Teeth sunk in your neck, growl vibrating to your lungs, his inflated girth trapping his seed deep.
Mahogany cracking sharply, the wood giving in and collapsing. The bed was slanted, haphazardly held up by one leg. And Jack is already licking the wound clean, kissing the area softly. He sighs, â⌠Apologies.â Strangely guilty, the change in demeanour gives you whiplash.
You didnât know what he was apologizing for, whether it was the marks that scattered across your flesh, or the ruined guest room- either way, you could tell he meant it. Covered in bites and bruises, and youâd never been happier. He takes initiative, carefully scooping you up and rolling your bodies over slowly. Tucked against his chest as your breathing evened out, still connected. You assumed youâd be stuck here for a while. The primal heat finally dying down, the sun began to gleam over the horizon. Your limbs felt like lead.
Sleepy and warm, you broke the silence, âWould this be a bad time to tell you I have a crush on you?â The confession was framed as a joke, yet your vulnerability lingered in the air that followed. He exhaled through his nose with a huff, an almost laugh, the corners of his mouth twitching just a tad. âYou are by far the strangest human Iâve ever met.â Giggling quietly, you cuddle further into his chest, âYou wouldâve eaten me if I wasnât.â Your words make him pause, shame creeping in. Looking up, you can see the storm starting to brew in his head. âI was kidding, twasâ just a joke.â And he scoffs in disbelief,
âYou should hate me.â
âToo bad I donât.â
It was bothering him. No matter how stone-faced he was, youâd realized you had learned to read him. âJack-â He cuts you off with a disgruntled hum, âYou donât even know what I am, what Iâve done-â Leaning up, you kiss him. Sweet and slow, letting him feel your trust. âI let you into my house when youâd say like- two words a day max. Plus, you looked like the boogeyman when you showed up that one time. And-â You peck his jaw, continuing, âI still thought you were cute, so.â Jack stares at you as if youâve grown three heads.
âYour self-preservation is severely lacking-â
âAnswer my question, beasty.â
He raises a brow at the nickname before responding anyway. â⌠No, it would not.â You were admiring him, your gaze fond. âSoâŚâ Trailing off, expectant. Tilting his head in thought, while his hand pets the small of your back. âSo?â He kind of reminded you of a stray cat, a very large, very dangerous stray cat. âDo you- yâknow.â You mumble, shrugging. The expression that overtakes his features makes you snort. He seemed so offended, âIf youâre asking if I care for you, the answer should be obvious.â He says it like youâve insulted him, borderline pouting. Though if you told him that, heâd deny it with fervour. Perhaps it was in bad taste, but the rollercoaster heâd put you through demanded vengeance. âWhich would be?â Drawling, you teased him. Jackâs deadpan somehow deepened, and you pressed.
âSay it- you like meee-â And he blinks at you. Amused, he nods, âI do.â Something so plainly stated, so sure in his ways. It made your stomach flutter. âYouâre lucky youâre so handsome, Iâd be mad if anyone less pretty broke my bedframe.â His entire body freezes under you, sockets widening for a millisecond. Worry passes through your thoughts, going to ask what youâd said that had made him uncomfortable- you paused. The grey hue of his skin didnât really allow for blush. Or so you thought. Because as he tilts his chin down just the slightest, the faintest hint of blue dusts his ears. You gasp,
âOh my god, are you blushing?-â
âI beg of you.â
Interrupting you, his eyes shut. Holding you stiffly, as a lightbulb goes off in your head. He was flustered. Squinting at him, you were in shock. Jack had bent you six ways to Sunday after showing up covered in blood, scaring you half to death, and he couldnât handle being called handsome? Swiping your thumb along the crease under his eye, you cradled his face. âI donât know about you, but I actually think youâre quite dashing.â His lashes flutter open, memorizing your grin, the gentle lilt of your voice. âRest.â Chiding you with a tut, he cups your nape, pressing your cheek back down. Skin on skin, you couldnât tell where you ended and he began, closer than close, really.
Maybe there would be hardships, sleepless nights and times heâd chip at your heart. And maybe heâd mend it with guilty hands, hollowed eyes when he begged in atonement. However, that was for future-you to stress about. So for now, youâd lie your head and listen to the thrum in his chest. Safe in his embrace, more protected than youâd be anywhere else. Your love was filled with tongue-tied confessions, clumsy and unsure. That was okay, though.
Because he was yours, sharp teeth and all.

some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, âwhatâs the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?â and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is âunofficialâ, and we know thatâs not the right word, but itâs the only word we can come up withâŚuntil finally itâs like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is âartificialâ.
I couldn't remember the word "doorknob" ten minutes ago.

âĄangst/comfort.
âĄFor the sake of the story, Night Raven is an intersex school :p
â ¡.¡´¯`¡.¡â ¡.¡´¯`¡.¡â ¡.¡´¯`¡.¡â ¡.¡´¯`¡.¡â ¡.¡´¯`¡.¡â .¡´¯`¡.¡â .¡´¯`¡.¡â
Frustrated, you felt utterly humiliated and frustrated. Everyone knew. They all saw how lovestruck you were. Hell, they even saw how much you followed him like a loyal dog. Maybe that's why you couldn't help but feel humiliated as you watched him and your best friend walk hand in hand down the hallway with a smile on their faces. You couldn't bring yourself to hate her. You knew that she didn't do this on purpose. But that doesn't mean that it still didn't sting.
I mean, in all honesty, you were never the first choice, not at home and now not even at night raven college. Perhaps you just lacked something compared to others. Was it looks, personality, charm? Whatever it was, you didn't know. Wincing you looked down, now recognizing the stinging sensation in your palms. "Damnit." You quickly looked away from the couple and started to speed walk towards Ramshackle. You were mostly going to Ramshackle to tend to your wounds, but too, also hide. After all, nobody visited you anyway.
As you approached Ramshackle, your eyes began to sting. You gave up on walking, and you broke out into a sprint. You didn't want to be seen by others. You slammed the door open, and you just couldn't hold it back anymore. Tears began to pour out of your eyes as your vision fully blurred. Running towards your room, you felt your chest getting heavy and legs starting to tremble. You weren't even able to make it to your bed before your legs gave out. Sitting on the floor, you just began to sob, your sobbing getting louder and louder with every passing second. Your wails echoed off the walls. Maybe that's why you didn't hear the door open.
Riddle Rosehearts, also known as the mad Tyrant of Heartslabyul. Maybe his Titles were why you avoided him. Maybe he intimidated you, or you just didn't like him. Whatever it was, he couldn't say the same about himself. Somehow, your paths always crossed. The one thing that you weren't expecting was for him to slam your dorm door open. "Y/n, it's not becoming of a Night Raven college student to skip cla- oh dear..."
Riddle had seen your speed walk off of campus. He thought that you were trying to skip, so he ran after you. However, when he opened your door in hopes of catching you skipping, he instead caught sight of you on the floor tears pouring out of your eyes like an endless waterfall. What on earth could have not only made you skip class but also cry this much. He felt his heart throb at the sight of your tears and red puffy eyes. He would make sure to punish those who hurt you for breaking a rule, of course. However, first, he needs to. He catches the sight of ruby red blood staining your hand.
At first, he didn't know what to do. He had never been comforted before. He most definitely knew nothing about how to comfort someone. However, after seeing the blood on your palms, he decided to tend to your wounds first. He grabbed your hand so gently that even you thought you were fragile. Since his mother wanted him to be a doctor , he wanted to be a doctor since that's what's best for him. Anyways he was very well versed in medical knowledge. Looking at your wound, he knows that it's not severe. However, he knows that you're still in pain.
ĘËÂŤ----------------------'ŕ¨ŕˇŕ§'--------------------ÂťËÉ
You were now sitting on the bed wearing your pajamas since Riddle said, "I suppose due to your mental disstress, I will allow you to stay at your dorm today." Odd, since Riddle isn't one to let rule breaking slide. You appreciate his tenderness. However, he was cleaning your palms as gently and dilligently as possible. The silence was soon broken by Riddle, "So my ro- I mean y/n. What has caused you so much distress?" You felt your eyes begin to water again as tears started to well up in your eyes once more. You didn't want to cry again, especially not in front of someone like Riddle.
You looked up to riddle. His confidence and authority were something you wished you had yourself. Maybe if you had a bit of riddles confidence you could've asked your crush out sooner. But would that even change the outcome. Even if you told him sooner, it didn't mean that he's going to automatically say yes. "Hey." You snapped out of your daze imedeantly, locking eyes with riddle before your thoughts could spiral any further. Riddle imedeantly broke eye contact before he began to speak again, "Whatever is troubling you can wait. You don't have to tell me immediately what's wrong right now. Just know that im always here to listen to if you need." You starred at him, Riddle isn't one to lie for someone's comfort. He meant it. He actually meant it. This is theres and first time you've heard such genuine words from well anyone. Especially being in a new world without a family of your own. It felt nice. Maybe "Its -------." Your voice came out hoarse and rough due to all the tears you've shed earlier.
"Hm? That's a pomefiore student, right?" Riddle talked almost talked like he didn't know the rumors that were currently circulating around the school. Maybe he didn't. After all riddles a housewarden, he wouldn't have time to indulge in such silly things like rumors. Perhaps that thought made you relax a bit. And soon, all the words came fumbling out. About how you really loved him and how cruel it felt for him to date your best friend. And how no matter who it is, they always seem to choose your friend over you. Except as you told him this, you didn't cry. You didn't feel sad anymore. Honestly, you didn't know what you felt, but it wasn't happy.
"Ah, so that's what this is about." He didn't sound disappointed he just sounded like he was listening and understood where you were coming from. You knew Riddle wasn't that good with emotions, especially after his overblot. But it was obvious that he was trying to make me feel better. You flopped backward onto your pillow and let your hand cover your eyes. "You know." Riddles' voice once again broke the silence this time softer. "You're wasting tears on him right now, but.. He's making her smile right now. That's a horrid thought, i know, but why continue to cry over someone who doesn't care or at least never cared about you. Im sorry. im horrible with words."
You let riddles' words sink in. As harsh as he was, he had a point. There was no reason for you to cry over him anymore. That was going to be easier said than done, however. You felt riddles hand grab yours, his hands intertwined in yours. "But you're not alone. I'll help through the healing journey and even after." Thanks to the hand covering your face, you couldn't see how red riddle was. He was fine not letting his feelings get acknowledged yet. Right now, his main priority was you. We'll it was always you, but that's not important right now. What's important is that Riddle is going to stay by your side for as long as possible. Hell, he'd even glue himself to you if he had to. He stared at you with hearts in eyes as you drifted off to sleep. He'd deal with that pomefiore student once you started to feel better.

In The Dark - Idia
Author Notes: So I have never blamed Idia for kind of hating his hair, but in the same sentence, I really love the fiery hair. And that was the inspiration behind this fic. I wasn't listening to anything specific while I wrote/edited this, and it's been sitting in my google docs for a while. Now that I think of it though, its kind of funny that I'm posting this right after having finished posting the Ignihyde section of the vampire series. As per usual, reader is gender-neutral. I hope you enjoy!
Type: Gender-neutral Reader/ sfw/ fluff/ romance implied/ sort of comfort I guess
Word Count: 1032
âItâs kinda nice how dark Ignihyde isâŚâ I trailed off as I noticed Idia staring at me from where he sat in front of his monitor.Â
Not only was he looking at me with no small amount of surprise, but he had also paused his game and actually swiveled his chair around so he could better stare at me incredulously.Â
I honestly didnât know whether to be flattered or uncomfortable with the sudden amount of pointed attention he directed my way as I shifted awkwardly under the weight of his sudden stare.
âI mean⌠I was just thinking about how itâs darker in here than in other places, and itâs kind of nice. Like a change of pace or something?â I fumbled slightly as I attempted to explain my previous words.
I shifted again, locking my hands together as he continued to just stare at me as I smiled at him awkwardly, âBut then again that isn't too good for your eyes since you play games on your computer in hereâŚ. The intense lighting probably gets hard on them.â
At last he mercifully interrupted my rambling, rolling his eyes dramatically as he spoke, âI donât have to worry about lighting. Itâs never completely dark where Iâm at.â
It was my turn to stare at him in confusion, eliciting a characteristic sigh from the housewarden. He pushed himself out of his chair in an almost bored manner and sloomed across the room and over to the light switch before looking my way pointedly, âWatch.â
With that single word, he clicked off the lights just as his computer fell asleep at an impressive rate, almost like heâd somehow cued it for maximum effect.Â
But, instead of the utter, pitch-black darkness I was expecting, a soft blue glow filled the room, not unlike what one might expect from a computer screen.Â
I blinked slightly as Idia looked at me sulkily from where he stood, illuminating the entire room with the just light from his hair. And in hindsight, it only made sense that Idiaâs hair, being the flame that it was, would emit light. Especially since it usually casts at least a slight glow on him.
Idia managed a mildly bitter smile as he held my gaze and spread his hands, as if to gesture to the light he was putting off, âSee? I canât ever be in the darkâŚ.âÂ
He trailed off, his voice getting quieter till I could barely hear him, but I managed to make out the words, âI canât ever hide, not even in the dark.â
I felt myself frown at his words, watching as he looked down and towards the ground, almost like he was ashamed.
I shifted, slipping my previously curled-up legs off his bed so I could stand, âIdia, do you not like your hair?âÂ
At my quiet words, he snorted, a distinctly bitter sound, âWouldnât you hate it? Iâm a flame-haired weirdo. Itâs no wonder everyone stares whenever I show up anywhere. It is, quite literally, a curse.âÂ
He looked up at me once more, yellow eyes bright even though the lighting was dim. But even then, I could clearly make out the scowl on his face.
I felt myself smile, though, as I stepped towards him, shaking my head slightly, âThatâs a shame. I like your hair.â He blinked, staring at me incredulously yet again, but this time, rather than faltering, I let my laughter bubble out of me.
âItâs true, I really do. While I do like the darkness of Ignihyde since itâs a change of pace, I also really like the light your hair puts out. It means you and whoever youâre with can never lose their way, even in the darkest of places.â
I stopped in front of him, still smiling up at him despite his confusion, and shrugged, âCall me a pyromaniac, but Iâve always thought fire is pretty. And blue flames are unique, so you donât get to see them very often anyway.â
He blinked, still staring down at me with now widened eyes, and I felt my smile do what Iâd thought was impossible; it grew.Â
Somehow the fact he seemed to find it so hard to believe that I liked his hair was oddly cute.
âJust remember that everyone doesnât see you as a freak and might even like the qualities of yours that you find so horrid,â I pointed out cheerfully, half-teasing him as I grinned at him playfully.
Idia swallowed, and silence hung between the two of us for a beat as I patiently waited for him to respond, genuinely curious as to what he would say. I didnât receive a response, though. Instead, I flinched as he clicked the lights back on, the sudden brightness assaulting my eyes, causing me to let out a tiny but indignant, âHey!â
âI guessâ¤â He started, and his voice cracked slightly, causing him to go stiff before he slumped back down into his usual posture. His hands began to tangle into his long, flaming locks as he looked away. And I watched as the hair he held crushed in his hands began to slowly change from its usual pale blue into a soft pink that had my eyes widening before I held up a hand to cover the smile that started to creep onto my face.Â
There was no telling how he would react if he figured out what was happening, and luckily, as he cleared his throat, he seemed unaware of his hairâs fascinating but slightly condemning behavior that made me love it even more than I already did. âI guess if you like it, then thatâs alright⌠I mean, it canât be all bad or whatever.â
I grinned at his less-than-honest behavior but opted to not call him on that or his blushing hair; better to just leave things be.
âRight, your hair is lovely just the way it is. And I hope you come to like it too.â He glanced at me, his gaze meeting mine as I smiled at him until he scoffed slightly, rolling his eyes and looking away again. But even then there was a slight smile on his face that betrayed his emotions.
Don't ask me how I ended up checking synonyms for handjob, but I've made a great discovery
Good nightđ

Malleus Draconia x GN! Reader
Summary: Ramshackle's perfect seems to catch Malleus's eye but he can't seem to place his finger on why exactly they're so special.
Cw- reader is yuu, Malleus is obvious to his own feelings,Fluff , oneshot
Word count: 984
A/N: again my reqs and asks are open so if you enjoy my work don't be afraid to flood my inbox (I need the ideasăžâ (â *â ââ â ââ *â )â /)
Malleus really couldn't understand what about you drew him in. He just couldn't think of a logical answer for why you'd occupy his thoughts even if you weren't even there. Or why he got so eager whenever it was time for the class you two shared.
You were different. You didn't try to avoid him like the plague. You never went out of your way to be overly formal with him. You were well. You.
You acted like he was just any other student, not caring of his title and reputation. You'd actually go out of your way to talk to him.
You never wanted anything out of him, just his time, nothing more. It made him happy. That you would be the one to seek him out. The dragon felt like you were a real friend.
Yet that still wasn't enough for the fae. Malleus still didn't understand why you were just so special enough for him to react to you so differently from everyone else.
He didn't know why his face would burn whenever you'd comment on his magic, or when you'd compliment him on the smallest of things.
He tried to chalk it up to him being happy that you actually liked those things and not just saying it to butter him up but that couldn't be the case.
Because soon he started seeking out your praise as well as wanting to impress you. Doing things extra whenever you were watching just for the chance you'd notice(and admittedly compliment him).
Malleus also couldn't understand why his heart would beat so incredibly fast when you'd smile. Whenever you'd smile it was like a ray of sunshine he could bathe in.
He absolutely loved it. He just couldn't understand why. Wh-
"Mal?" You spoke, looking up at the taller figure. You looked concerned before smiling at his startled expression.
"You were so out of it" You couldn't help but giggle. Your laugh was like heavenly music to his ears. The housewarden cleared his throat
"Sorry about that dear [Name], I was just... thinking" The raven hair finally responded. He tried to calm the way his heart raced when you called out to him.
âAre you sure you're good ? you're all red in the face, I hope you're not sick or anythingâ you said now a bit concerned. It was just like you to pick up on the blush that was now spreading across his face and ears like a wildfire.
Your eyes narrowed playfully, your grin widening. âSo what were you thinking about then, you were so out of it you didn't even comment on my story on how cute grim was actually earlier!â
"I... Iâm fine," Malleus finally managed, though his voice came out softer than he intended. Clearing his throat once again, he tried to regain some semblance of composure, though his heart pounded furiously against his chest like crazy.
He opened his mouth to answer, but his mind betrayed him. He wasnât thinking about anything in particularâjust you. The way your smile lit up your entire face, the way you spoke to him like he wasnât someone to be feared or avoided but just... Malleus. Any other student.
"Reflecting," he said at last, though the word felt hollow compared to the complete truth. "On various matters.
You didnât seem convinced, and the way your lips curled into a knowing smirk made his pulse quicken.
You placed your hands on your hips. âOh reallyâ you quizzed dramatically raising an eyebrow.
"I-I assure you, [Name], I was merely lost in thought nothing more" he stammered, trying so hard to seem unbothered . But his voice faltered, betraying his calm facade.
"Lost in thought, huh?" you mused, leaning forward a bit, your gaze softening slightly at how flustered Malleus had become.
"Iâm sure thereâs more to it than that. You always seem so... distracted whenever I talk to you. Itâs honestly really cute."
"C-Cute?" he echoed, his voice barely above a whisper. "I donât... think I would describe myself as such."
The compliment struck him harder than he liked to admit. His face flushed an even deeper shade of red, and he hastily looked away, it was hard to try and stop the smile tugging at his lips.
It was quite the sight to see.
"Well you don't have to think so," you replied with a wink, your teasing tone shifting into something more genuine ."But â you continued, moving out of the raven hairâs space a bit.
âI do think it suits you, Mal."
Malleusâ heart thudded loudly in his chest as your words hit him like a truck. He loved any form of praise from you but for the fae this was too much.
His mind was reeling, the words spinning in his head as they tried to make sense of the feelings coursing through him. You thought he was cute. You thought he, Malleus Draconiaâwas cute. It was something he had never considered before, and yet here you were, saying it so casually, like it was the most natural thing in the world.
âWell ..thank you child of manâ The housewarden mumbled just enough for you to hear. You smiled and nodded at him.
He really couldn't understand why he felt this way about you. What made this human so special? He couldn't understand, perhaps he'd maybe end up asking Lilia about it.
âWell I should head back to my dorm before Grim manages to rip it to shredsâŚmore than it already isâ You chuckled at your own comment.
âYes it is getting rather late into the afternoon⌠I suppose this is goodbye for now â He spoke. It always pained him when you eventually had to part ways.
âGood night Mal!â You waved him goodbye before walking off Into the direction of ramshackle dorm.
âGoodnightâŚâ
Malleus didn't understand his feelings. But he did understand one thing. He didn't want the feeling to ever go away.

Hi, I just found your work and I literally love all of it!!! If itâs not too much of an issue (you can delete this if you want), can I please request self aware Malleus who reader badgers with questions about fae folklore upon him coming to their world?
Like, thereâs so many interesting things about fae in mythology! Is giving a fae your name really bad? Does iron hurt him? Does he get offerings? Ahhhh, my head is spinning just thinking about it!

Mallues had always been interested in human behavior and culture, he just found them so fascinating. The complexities, the intricacies, the way humans could be so unpredictable. When he became aware of your existence he was no different wanting to know every little thing about you. To him you were like a puzzle he desperately wanted to solve.
What he didn't expect was the way you were as curious about him as much as he was with you. Since he started living with you, you'd always ask him about himself and fae. Was it true you couldn't break a promise? Was the never say thank you thing just a myth?
It was just so interesting to you. Did the fae from his world line up with the folklore from your world? You were just so curious. At first you were scared to approach him about it. Too scared it might be too personal and you might offend him. However he asks about humans all the time wouldn't it be fair if you did the same?
Malleus quietly watched you as you sprawled out across your mattress. Green eyes just taking in your features as your own skimmed across the novel you had taken a liking to as of recently.
Suddenly you rolled over on your back. The raven hair watched, confused on what you were up to, before you fully sat up and stared up at him. He searched your face for any signs of discomfort or you being upset.
âIs everything alright [Name]?â The prince asked. You nodded, a small smile tugging at your lips and you lifted up your book. Malleus tilted his head confused.
âI just have a question, â you started, closing the book. You'd constantly ask the horned fae questions so it wasn't a surprise when you sprung one out of nowhere. He let out a hum.
â What is it, child of man?â He responded, voice soft. You looked a little flushed before clearing your throat. You met his gaze, his eyes watching you waiting for your question.
âWell it's that I'm very curious, how do fae court each other? Is it like In my books or is it completely different? â You asked, sitting on your knees now. Malleus's eyes widened a bit and a flood of pink blush spread across his cheeks.
âWhere is this coming fromâŚâ the raven hair spoke, his green eyes darting away from your face. Seeing his flustered expression made you smile a bit. You shook your head.
âJust curious is allâ You said looking up at Malleus with an innocence he couldn't place. JustâŚcurious. He cleared his throat trying to find the right words.
Finally, he let out a soft sigh and folded his hands in his lap.
âWell,â he began, his voice a bit quieter than usual, âcourting among the fae is... a deeply significant and intricate process. Itâs not something you enter into lightly, like any relationship itâs to be treated in aâŚdelict matter.â He glanced at you briefly, his green eyes meeting yours before looking away again.
âFaeâs live a long time, yes;however we typically choose a partner only once so courting is very something that we do with caution â He added. You smiled and nodded your head for the horned fae to continue.
âCourting often begins with gesturesâsmall but meaningful acts that convey oneâs intentions. Gift giving as you humans call it, usually a flower from a private garden or a trinket with a significant value would be givenâ Malleus spoke, placing a finger on his chin.
âEach gift is a declaration ,like a message that carries unspoken words if you will. Usually they're enchanted with magic as wellâ He started again
Your eyes sparkled with fascination as you leaned forward slightly. You were utterly engrossed. You'd always been a fan of the mythical world; You were always so excited whenever Malleus would answer your questions.
âwoahâŚâ you murmured. âDo both parties exchange these gifts?â you asked tilted your head. The princeâs eyes landed on you and he smiled softly. He let out a quiet hum.
âOnce recognized and accepted, yes it is very common for the person to give back in signs they want to move forward, â Malleus replied. You nodded, mouth slightly agape.
You recall something about fae being known to be possessive with their things, did that apply to partners as well?
âSo Mal, I heard fae can be very territorial. Does that also apply to their partnersâlike um do you guys get jealous easily and stuff?â
Malleus took a moment before responding.âWell yes I do believe fae get very territorialâŚwhile I do admit we can get jealous most of the time it's more so out of a place of protection and wanting our partner to be comfortable rather than out of pure envyânot to say we don't sometimes get jealous of courseâ He spoked. You hummed, sitting back on your knees.
âCourting someone is like taking a small piece of you and giving it to another. It's a big commitment so it's only natural to feel a sense of possessiveness when it comes to the person you devote yourself toâ The prince added on with a shrug. You placed a hand on your chin, hanging onto his words.
âThat sounds⌠intense,â you admitted with a chuckle, fidgeting with the drawstrings of your pajama shorts. âBut also kind of romantic in a way.â
Malleus tilted his head, watching you intently. âDo you find it romantic, child of man? The idea of being cherished so deeply I meanâ he said, words soft and careful.
Your heart skipped a beat at the question. The way he asked it, his voice low and steady, made you feel as though the room had somehow gotten smaller.
You fumbled for a response, you could feel the way blood rushed to your cheeks. âI-I mean, I guess so? Itâs nice to think someone would care that much. But, um, I donât think humans handle that kind of intensity as well as fae do,â
Malleus watched you with an intensity you couldn't quite place, His green eyes taking in your features and reactions.
âI suppose not,â he mused, âhuman emotion always amazes me, you know, such little time yet so much emotion it's truly fascinating in my opinon â He mumbled. You hummed in response clearly lost in thought. It got silent for just a moment.
âHave you ever been jealous, Malleus?â you asked suddenly, the question slipping out before you could stop yourself.
Malleus blinked, surprised by your sudden boldness , a faint blush dusted his cheeks. He looked away, just like earlier when you had asked about courting.
âJealousy⌠is not something I have experienced often. But,â he hesitated, his gaze returning to yours, âI cannot say I am immune to itâŚthere have been times where my emotions get the better of meâ the horned fae admitted.
You tilted your head, curiosity sparking in your eyes. A playful smile tugged at your lips âOh Really? What kind of things would make someone like you jealous?â you asked, your tone teasing, yet curiosity laced your words as well.
Malleus gave a soft chuckle and playfully rolled his eyes, though his blush deepened slightly. âI suppose⌠moments when a certain someone I hold dea gives their attention to another,â he admitted his words more serious now. âIt is not a feeling I take pride in but I cannot deny that I don't like seeing them with⌠others if I myself are not involve;it's selfish yes but I cannot help but feel possessive at timesâ
Your eyes widened a bit in surprise, you just looked down and nodded. âYeah I honestly get that⌠I think itâs natural to want someoneâs attention, especially when you care about them. It doesnât make you bad, it just means⌠well, you care.â you muttered.
You were taken aback by the sudden feeling of slender fingers on your face. You blushed as one of Malleusâs hands found their way on your cheek. You couldn't help but melt.
âYeahâŚâ is all he said, yet it felt as if there was more that threatened to leave his tongue. The room was silent once more. Neither of you moved, just watched each other. The rays of the setting sun falling onto you.
If he were to court youâŚwould you accept it? Is what he wanted to say. If he were to go home would you take his hand? Instead he just stayed quiet green eyes observing you. There's still very little he knew about humans. Very little he knew about you.
He did know he wanted to be with you...

Bo with an MC that feels dumb and incompetent all the time.
Sorry this took so long :/
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
You were trying to make something special for Bo since he had been really helpful this week. Staring down at the third dish that you had failed to make. Your eyes started to sting a bit, and your palms began to turn red from how hard you were clenching them. Did you also taste blood? Oh, you were biting your lip. To everyone else, you might look silly crying and hurting yourself over something as simple as food.
To you, it wasn't just about the food. Of course, you could always just buy takeout, but this was the tenth time this week. The tenth time that you've fucked something up. At first, it started off small like you messed up your hair, and then it went to you accidentally breaking the shower head. Actually, now that you think about it, have you always sucked at doing... well, anything?
Oh, you have.... of course. You saw your vision start to blur. You leaned against the kitchen island and sank to the floor. You brought your knees to your chest and hugged them with your arms, burying your face in them. You bit your lip harder, trying your hardest not to cry. That was the last thing that you wanted to do. Hell, if you did, you might slip on your own tears. You let out a bitter scoff at the thought.
"Will I always be so.... so stupid and useless?" The scilence of your house made the tears start to flow. You don't know how much longer you could do this. It was all becoming too much. You... you gave up on trying. 'Maybe it's better that I just stop... everything'.
"Im home!!!!" You heard your overly excited puppy husband shout out as he opened the door. Normally, you would rush up to great him, tumbling in the process. Today, you just didn't have the energy. More tears dripped down your face. Bo never made mistakes. Bo's smarter than you, and he's more competent and and-
"It's a floor type of day, huh?" You heard Bo's voice appear to the left of you, breaking your train of thought. However, it sounded... softer? You didn't say anything. You didn't need to. "Do you wanna talk about it?" You didn't answer, Bo didn't deserve you. I mean, come on, look at him, and look at you. Bo didn't say anything he just sat there. Patiently. Waiting. He was waiting for you, for whenever you were ready to speak.
"I-Im stupid Bo." You heard his ears perk up as he waited for you to finish. "I can't do anything right, and I-I just keep messing everything up." Whatever tears you were still holding back all came flowing out along with a few wails and sobs. Bo let you burry his face in your shoulder. Once he noticed that you were alright with him touching you, he began to rub small, comforting circles on your back.
"You're not stupid, love. Everyone makes mistakes. To you, it might seem like all you're making are mistakes, but trust me, you've succeeded more times than you've failed. Your brain is choosing to member your mistakes. It's okay. You can always ask for help if you need it, or if you just want to take a break and get back to the task you were doing, that's okay too."
Your cries got louder as you clinged onto Bo more. After a while of just sitting there, Bo finally spoke up, "Now do you want to try makingdinneragainor should we get takeout?" There was a small sliver of scilence."Try again..." Your voice was scratchy from all the crying that you had just done. "Alright, then let's get to work!"
That night, for the first time in a while, you actually were able to make something properly.
How smart or dumb do you think Bo is?
Hmmmmmmm Honestly, I feel like Bo was considered extremely smart for his time. Like when Bo was made, he was considered extremely intelligent and brilliant. However, as time had progressed and Bo was discontinued, Bo's knowledge became outdated.
