Esoteric ebb calendar!!!
Today I asked Chris about the calendar of EE... He said that the time of ee passes about 22% slower than our time. This number can be obtained when you calculate how many days of ee can fit within iur 365 days a year.
Knowing that ee years have 10 months, each composed of 3 weeks with 10 days each, this gives us 300 days in a very neat and mathematically lovable number ❤️
By dividing the two "number of days a year" in different manners we can get the conversion of:
365/300 = 1,216667... is conversion TO OUR CALENDAR
300/365 = 0,8219... is conversion TO EE CALENDAR
The number 1,216667... is how much of the 300 days fit in 365, this means that the 300 days of ee are longer, they ocupy 1,216667 days EACH. And, by taking away the digit 1 (representing the 1:1 ratio, 100%) we get 0,216667, that is equal to 21,6667%.
This "21,6667% longer-ness" is where Chris got the 22% slower information.
Now that this is over, we can talk about the conversion itself.
To put it bluntly, the conversion is a simple multiplication.
You get the day X out of 365 and multiply by 0,8219. This will result in "day Y out of 300", which you can pinpoint which day it is in the ee calendar.
You can also use the number Y out of 300 and multiply it by 1,21667. This will result in a "day X out of 365" correspondent to our calendar.
I have yet to plan out a function that does all of this automatically, but I have a spreadsheet with my step by step.
