*dusts off this blog* Whelp! It’s been a while, that is for certain. Time to start paying attention to this blog a li’l bit more.
Of Snake And Moon
For the step back, the taller male stepped forward again and smirked at him. “Kill you? So soon? Haven’t you heard little boy? I like to play with my food.” He shifted as he walked forward, angling to back the other into a corner again. “Though if you submit I might think about taking it easy on you,” he drawled with a tooth filled grin.
"Tch. And have you draw it out more, you bastard," he growled. Focus, he thought at his eyes. Everything was getting fuzzy now. Teiron cursed again under his breath. He attempted to lunge forward and body check the pirate, but he knew that there wasn't any power behind it anymore. Stars, it felt like his legs wobbled, and something twisted under him. Ankle? All he knew was that he crumpled before he even reached Caius.
And not even a cyanide capsule on his person. That would have made this a little more bearable, but he'd never been given any and any requests for them were denied. Leave it to him to get captured like this.
Dusk
“Ah, forgive me,” he replied. “My name is Josef.” The ashen blond gave a flourished bow, rising quickly. “Tis a pleasure to make your acquaintance, little bird.”
” I suppose I could say the same, though it might be too soon for that Josef” he said, wondering if he should be bowing back or not. He ends up giving a small awkward bow, pieces of dark hair falling into his face.
The other gave a small laugh. "Fear not, Starling, I won't devour you. And you needn't be so formal. Verily, I had an odd upbringing for wayward vagabond." Hands brushed over the sheathes of his blades, straightening them out of habit. "Would you mind if I were to share your camp with you this night? I fear I strayed a bit too far from my own and the forest ends up looking the same after a while no matter how bright the moon is."

Of Snake And Moon
Caius growled and knocked his hand away, only to grab him and yank him away from the wall. He turned, dragging him along and slung him towards the opposite wall in the hallway.
He hit the wall hard enough to leave him dazed, but he didn’t stop. He needed to knock the pirate out. Somehow. Eyes wouldn’t focus though — something was blocking his vision. When he went to swipe his hand over it and came back with blood.
Caius just stood there, waiting for him to try to attack again. He looked smug - and entirely relaxed. As if this was just some sort of a game for him. Then again, the level in skill and muscle between the two was laughable.
Teiron growled as he glared up at the pirate as more blood covered his face. The throb from the small cut on his forehead stung, but he needed to focus. Gun. Where was his gun?
Shit. It was behind Caius. Could he move fast enough while dazed? Something told him he couldn't, and he took another step back. "Aren't you gonna kill me?" he finally hissed. "Or are you just gonna stand there all day?"

The snake-kind nodded. “I’ll keep it in mind.” But he’d probably just shower and sleep and leave at dawn, weather depending.
Once Xia left he took a few things from his bag and vanished into the bathroom down the hall. Most of what he got was to clean his clothes with, and he had a fresh(ish) shirt to change into and a pair of loose pants. Those he had cleaned a couple days before while still hiking.
He took extra care in locking the door and making sure it stayed that way before he undressed and stepped in the stall. The blissfully hot water was spirit sent, he thought. It had been months since he had a hot shower, and Sael milked it for all it was worth.
When he stepped out he carefully dried off and turned to wash his clothes. They were wrung out with ease and tossed on the towel. Once finished and dressed in the fresh clothes he stepped out of the steamy room, all of his articles in hand.
If he wasn’t bothered by anyone he’d vanish into the room Xia had given him and flop onto the bed.
He wasn’t bothered, no one even pestered him.
Sael roused early -- he was up before the sun even was. Part of him considered taking another hot shower but he decided against it, instead opting to see if he could possibly convince the 'good doctor' to share some food with him. Something told him that Xia wouldn't mind much given what the snake-kind was doing, but manners never hurt anyone.

“You some kinda mind reader, doc?” he asked, a blue brow arched curiously. He didn’t think he said something about a shower. Then again maybe Xia read it on his face. Or since he mentioned he hiked so much he just put two and two together. For spirits sake, he hoped it was one of those instead of mind reading. Otherwise tonight would make for an interesting night knowing how his thoughts normally went.
“No, not a mind reader.” He chuckled low in the back of his throat. “Though perhaps a little. It isn’t hard to surmise that you’d want to get clean. I assume that you travel frequently and any brook or spring you come across would be cold and not really fit for getting as clean as possible.” He thought a moment before motioning to the door. “If you’ll follow me I’ll show you to the room you can stay in. The showers are right across the hall so any exposure you may have to others would be limited. Though-” He chuckled. “I do have a pet that might show a bit of interest. I’ll try to keep him away however.”
“You’re too observant for your own good, doc,” he laughed.
At the comment of pet he arched a brow. For some reason he didn’t think Xia met a conventional sort of pet. Spirits, what was he getting himself into?
“As long as he minds his own business and keeps his nose out of certain areas I think it should be fine,” he finally answered, flipping the collar of his shirt up a little.
He chuckled lowly. “He’d probably be more interested in your smell than your appearance.” He stopped and motioned to the room. “Here you are.”
Well, that was a relief. A bit. Kinda. And he was certain that he probably smelled like the woods. After all, he’d been living there for the last, damn how long was it? Twelve years?
Huh. It really had been that long. Well then.
Looking at the room Sael gave a nod of approval. The bed in there, though it was probably simple, was like a wet dream for him. Holy fucking hell, he’d get to sleep in a bed and it wasn’t in some crowded inn with drunkards.
“Thanksss, doc,” he said, grinning up at him.
Xia nodded and motioned. “My room is down the last hall on the left at the end.”
The snake-kind nodded. "I'll keep it in mind." But he'd probably just shower and sleep and leave at dawn, weather depending.

Xia smirked. “I’m going to see how well you can control it by having you attempt to thread it through a hoop.” Of course the snake-kind wouldn’t realize what he meant. And that’s how he wanted it. He always liked the surprised face when they first saw his piercing. His own hand moved between the snake’s legs as he pushed the door open.
Sure enough Sael was confused. It didn’t last long with that hand between his legs. It actually earned Xia a low moan followed by a light nip to his side. “Careful about teasing a snake, doc.” His hand smoothed over where he had nipped him. “Or would you prefer me to call you something else?”
Using his foot to push open the door and consecutively close it behind them, he put the snake down. “You can call me what ever you wish, my little reptilian toy.”
Ah, good. He didn’t have some ‘daddy’ kink. That was a relief. He pushed up on his toes, simultaneously pulling Xia down so their lips met. Sael’s tongue easily delved into the taller man’s mouth, the forked tip teasing him for a few seconds before it curled around the other’s tongue.
Eager hands worked on undressing Xia. He paused long enough in the kiss to look up at him. “My own ssshirt ssstaysss on,” he hissed, no longer caring about controlling the lisp he had. His tone booked no argument and the look in the jewel-like eyes he had showed that it was clear. If the shirt came off he’d leave.
Xia pulled the smaller man closer, molding him against his body. He frowned at the shirt having to stay on. He really enjoyed being able to look at his lovers body, scars and all. He could improvise though- his body was past the point of reasoning with it. The only thing that would stop him now was if his little toy changed his mind.
Xia wouldn’t be completely vulnerable, his hand staying Sael’s on his shirt. “Then as does mine.” He mumbled before his pale lips moved to the snake kind’s neck leaving gentle bites at first to see how he’d react.
The hands stilled when he was told the shirt would stay on. Damn. He wanted to see that pale skin covered in love marks. Sael didn't get much time to dwell on it though. Those lips on his neck drew out a weak moan from him, and his hands bunched up the fabric.
"Can I ssstill touch through the ssshirt?" he asked, his long tongue flickering out, the tip brushing against Xia's ear.

He chuckled, eyeing him. “Put that away before you hurt yourself boy?” he rumbled, stepping closer to him, towering over the slighter male. “Or do I have to show you what happens when children play with guns?” he said, slitted eyes narrowing as a thin smile played over his lips.
Tei grimaced as he took another step back as both hands gripped the gun. “Stand down, Cauis,” he hissed. Why couldn’t he pull the damned trigger? One shot was all he needed and the pirate would be out cold. Long enough for him to get the cuffs on him.
His foot met the wall, then his back. It startled him enough that his attention diverted enough to look back for a second.
Caius continued to walk the other backwards, angling himself so that the smaller male instinctively turned himself away - and toward the wall. When the blond looked back, he reached forward and grabbed the gun, shoving it away from him and ripping it out of the other’s hands before he threw it away. “Stand down, boy,” he growled at him.
If only Tei were good at listening to orders. If only. It would have saved him lots of pain during training and even more on the field. His lithe body shifted, a hand striking toward Caius's ribs.

“Certainly, little Starling,” he answered. “Those gifted with music have always drawn my attention.” And a little bit of envy as well. The knife wielder leaned against a different tree, his eyes trained on the other. “It was beautiful, little bird.”
“Well thank you” he said, shrugging a bit. A small blush formed on his face as he looked away. “What’s your name? I don’t believe I caught it..”
"Ah, forgive me," he replied. "My name is Josef." The ashen blond gave a flourished bow, rising quickly. "Tis a pleasure to make your acquaintance, little bird."
Dusk
“Accident,” he admitted. “It’s hard to be a blade wielder and perform tricks without having a few scars.” He fell silent after that, listening to the tune. His eyes were closed as he listened, a small smile playing on his face.
“Ah, I don’t doubt that..” he spoke finally once his tune was finished. With a smile of his own, he inspected the others smile. “I see you like my instrument”

Tei cursed under his breath. He’d have to wait, it seemed. He’d love to attempt to hack it, but he’d hate to trigger any alarms. Instead he found a place to hide in shadows. It was a tight fit, and he was thankful for his smaller frame, otherwise he couldn’t have done it. His gun was drawn as he waited.
It wasn’t too long before someone boarded from that part of the ship, pressing a button to bring up the ramp. The overhead lights immediately flickered to life, revealing the burly man who’d entered.
Caius was a dark skinned humanoid, standing near 6’4 and with blueish black hair. It was kept relatively short, except for two thin braids on either side of his head behind his ears, both adorned with two red beads. Pointed ears were pierced multiple times with gold, the metals taking to the light easily.
Part of his face was covered in a patch of dark brown scales, dark against his gold eyes that bore slits down the center. He moved smoothly as he moved to the controls and hit several buttons to open the door to the inner portion of his ship, seemingly oblivious to Teiron’s presence.
Tei felt his nerves flare a moment before moving from his hiding place. The plan was to follow him before they took off and stun him then. Stars, why didn’t he try when Caius came into view? He knew the reason, but ignored the answer his mind supplied. Instead he slipped through the door before it closed, his feet surprisingly silent. He’d need to take the pirate out quickly. If it came to a physical fight between them he knew he’d be in trouble. The blond paused once in the main part of the ship. Caius was no where to be seen. Shit.
The door closed behind Tei with a hiss and the audible clunk of the lock sliding into place. There was a low rumbling chuckle behind him, Caius standing to the side of the locked door. “Not the brightest bulb in the box, are you?”
He cursed, jumping away from the pirate, his gun trained on him. Something kept him from pulling the trigger, something deeper that he didn't quite understand.
Confusion showed on his face clearly, too. "Probably not, but we both knew something like this would happen some day." He tried to pull the trigger but still couldn't. What the hell?
Dusk
“Worry not, Starling,” he said. “My blades are more for show than anything. The only person they’ve ever cut was me.” The ashen blond had see the shadow of unease Star had.
“On accident I presume..” he commented, “Although I have met a young man who would harm himself with every intention of doing do..”. As he talked he didn’t even look up from his instrument, or stop his soft tune.
"Accident," he admitted. "It's hard to be a blade wielder and perform tricks without having a few scars." He fell silent after that, listening to the tune. His eyes were closed as he listened, a small smile playing on his face.
