When he shows up, Charles changed his memories to make him think he choose to leave that job and come join the X-men. The alpha flight gang assumed he was just going off to chill in the mountains, as he does, so they didn’t find out where he went till much later. The alpha flight boys claim that it was the weapon plus program but he worked on both teams so.

I could not fathom undermining the very foundations of democracy by violating the minds of our nation’s leaders. Political differences aside, the president and I are simply good friends, and mutual confidants on the subjects of family, sports, and occasionally armed intervention.

Tea and Brains

Had quite the stimulating conversation over tea with a distinguished guest—who shall remained, on request, unnamed—about the stop-and-start nature of humanity’s evolutionary process. Since the first homo sapiens emerged from its precursor species’ womb, the human brain possessed the ability to process advanced language and communicate through writing systems—systems that did not exist until someone thought of it some 7000 years ago, and I imagined my guest bore witness to this. Are mutants any different? Is there some untapped cognitive mechanism that lay gathering dust amongst the nuclear minutiae of our cerebrum?

Only time will tell.
