JAMES MCAVOY | IT CHAPTER TWO PRESS
What value will there be in life if we are not together?
BECOMING JANE dir. Julian Jarrold
JAMES MCAVOY for Playhouse Theater London
i love magneto he just shows up to be like “im magneto!!” and everyones like “AAAUGHHH” and he’s gay
so who else gets irrationally afraid and embarrassed about their interests being known to people in real life
#i’m not embarrassed but#i hate the thought of having to guard what i love#and defend any of my interests to others#people are the worst i don’t want them to know me
I’m tired of the boo-hoo. Do what you want. Take what you want. Gods make rules. They don’t follow them.
Please could you do number 7 with Charles/Erik?
Cherik + neck kiss
I got slightly carried away with this one. Enjoy!

Distract me
Charles would be still reading a book andpaying no attention to the world around him if he didn’t get hit in the headwith a chess pawn. He looked up and encountered the gaze of his best andcurrently the only friend.
“Let’s play a game,” Erik said, resting hislegs on the table.
A cunning smile wandered over his lips. It wasboth disturbing and amusing, so Charles closed his book and raised hiseyebrows. They had been living together for many months now, and yet, even whenthey spent the whole day reading books like today, they would never get boredwith each other’s presence.
“We played right after breakfast,” Charles remindedhim. “Have you already forgotten about losing three times in a row?”
“I’m not talking about chess. Let’s play theso-called distraction game. Each of us reads the book for ten minutes and theother person tries to distract him. All rules apply.”
Charles couldn’t help but laugh, “You nevercease to amaze me, my friend.”
Sitting next to the fireplace, Erik leaned backin the chair, crossed his legs and opened his book in the place where he hadfinished reading.
“Come on, Charles. Distract me.”
Erik threw a challenge, and his voice by nomeans was devoid of playful competitiveness. He enjoyed this situation way toomuch and Charles was looking forward to outwitting him. In the end, he had theadvantage; he could make Erik see, hear and feel everything he wanted.
It was a place that Charles had not visited ina long time as he fully respected Erik’s need for privacy. Especially now, whenthey lived together, just the two of them, and knew more about one another thanabout themselves. A wall had to be built. Erik hadn’t repaired the helmetdestroyed by Jean, and Charles hadn’t entered his mind without his consent.
Now, however, the goal justified the means.Charles put his fingers to his left temple and focused on Erik, who seemedcompletely absorbed in his whodunnit.
That’s a nice book you’re reading. It would be ashame if someone was to spoil you the ending.
One of the muscles on Erik’s face twitched, andCharles knew that would be an easy win. However, it was too good an opportunityto limit himself to giving spoilers. He didn’t need his powers to do that. Hehad to hit somewhere else.
Erik had to concentrate heavily on the words heread for there was suddenly a song stuck in his head. The Clash’s Should IStay or Should I Go reverberated in his mind as if someone had placed thespeakers next to his ears. Charles smiled, hearing Erik read the same sentencetwice. However, he did not look up from the book until his book took the shapeof a snake. Fooled by his imagination, Erik rose abruptly, dropping the book onthe floor.
“For God’s sake, Charles.” He turned to look athis friend. “You lack creativity.”
“But I did distract you, didn’t I? We’ll see ifyou can beat that.”
Satisfied with his little victory, Charlesreached for his book. Erik’s idea to divert his attention remained a mystery,so it was hard not to look at him and focus on the reading instead. In the end,he read one page, then another one. There was still no move from Erik. Charlesdidn’t even hear him, but raising his head would mean immediate defeat.
Suddenly, he felt his presence. A shiver passedthrough his body when he felt Erik’s breath on his skin. He was right there, almost touching Charles’ neck with his nose. It took unbelievable strength to focuson the book and not to think about Erik.
When Raskolnikov got home, his hair was soakedwith sweat and he was breathing heavily. He went rapidly up the stairs, walkedinto his unlocked room and at once fastened the latch. What is he doing? Focus,Charles. Keep reading. Then in senseless terror he rushed to thecorner, to that hole under the paper where he had put the things; put his handin, and for some minutes felt carefully in the hole, in every crack and fold ofthe paper. Fuck.
Charles held his breath, feeling warm lips onhis skin. Erik kissed him. Erik kissed him on the neck. Bloody Erik Lehnsherrkissed him. Charles looked at the page of the book, where all sentences mergedinto one and did not matter. He wasn’t able to understand a single word.
He was dizzy, and Erik did not stop. He kissedhis neck, traced the way through his skin with his tongue, and reached theplace under his ear. It was as if someone had lit a fire in his body and everynow and then added more wood to it. If Charles could walk, at the moment hewould start jumping in hope of getting rid of the flames.
It was above his strength. The book fell to theground as Charles grabbed Erik by the hair and pulled him closer. Their lipsmet in a passionate, long-awaited kiss. Erik sat on his lap and took his facein his hands, kissing his lips, cheeks, and then again his neck. Charlesmoaned, sinking into the sweet feeling of failure. Losing had never felt sogood.
“You won,” he gasped. “You won, Erik. You canstop now.”
Erik leaned back to look at Charles. His eyessparkled with lust as he took a deep breath, sweat shining on his skin.
“We both know you don’t want me to stop. It’sbetter than chess, isn’t it?”
“Oh, shut up.”
Charles reached for another kiss. Suddenly, theidea of living together became extremely interesting. Who knows, maybe he wouldeventually get used to losing.
