This woman here was one of few people that would tell me " I'm going to whip your butt." Even as an adult, I would run in fear because I believed her. 🤣 I'm going to miss her brute honesty , sassy tude, Mac and cheese, collard greens, jokes for days ( even the ones about me), her infectious smile and random advise. Her home was one of the few places I could just show up too no matter what time of the day, no matter how busy, no matter what I was feeling; I'd just show up and was always welcome. I will never look at Williamsburg the same. She was one of the Strongest people I know. She never wore her pain, never excepted help; you had to make her take it. Her hugs came with knowledge, and a strong firm hand for respect in ones-self and ones elders. She got me my 1st real job and made sure I was paid during 911 when I was so scared to go back to work. She fought for me to work from home when working from home in my youth wasn't possible. That's what you call love that's what you call FAMILY. She looked out when she could, and she always said " I may not have money, but you'll always have a full belly and a place to sleep here."
