Interview from the Tokyo press tour with kangkangnam

💔🖤🤍 When they killed Joel Miller in season two, I saw him die in such agony, when Abby hit him with the golf club. I was so disgusted. He was our father to some, our big brother to others, but for me he was both. I cried for 30 long minutes. My partner didn't move an inch, so I would have preferred a hug from him to calm my tears. I had to go out onto the balcony. Anyway, all this to say, enjoy your family while your grandparents are still alive because afterward it hurts, it hurts a lot. I'll survive it, but it takes time. Maybe I'll be wounded in the heart like Joel was for Sarah. Grandma, I love you, I'm going to miss you, I love you more than you'll ever be. 💔🖤🤍
Alex's dream came true.. ❤️💫
I love you in every universe.
PEDRO PASCAL as Joel Miller The Last of Us 01x05
Happy pride month from me and the canon-queer Pedro boys! 🏳️🌈💚
My 🩷
Alex's dream came true.. ❤️💫
I'm back in Värmland after my two week journey through Finland and Åland, and goodness, do I have photographs to go through! I’ve had the very best of times, and Finland and Åland are forever etched in my heart. Well, I already knew I loved Finland, but now I love it even more.
Åland, on the other hand, was a new acquaintance for me, and I have already decided that I will return. The islands of Åland are simply amazing.
Still, it is always good to come home. Home to my beloved family of one human, two cats, eight chickens and, of course, countless squirrels.
we need to talk about Harry <3
Here's the full English translation of the interview
Date with Pedro Pascal
Chief reporter Melanie Jassner gets close to a man. Every month she interviews a cool guy. This time: Hollywood's most laid-back women's ally.
From the very first "Hi, how are you?" it becomes clear why Pedro Pascal is driving everyone crazy right now, even though in the then-current Star Wars series The Mandalorian he is hardly ever actually seen. His tough-guy character is hidden beneath a helmet, yet everyone swoons:
"He's so hot."
The reason is his voice, rough and warm, and his charismatic presence. It comes through the armor just as strongly as it does over Skype (because of the pandemic, an in-person meeting wasn't possible).
This man creates a sense of closeness through humor and openness. Lots of laughter, lots of feeling.
Emotionally, as in his role in Narcos, he is also emotional in his new film Wonder Woman 1984. In the superhero sequel, he plays the charming self-made mogul and guru Maxwell Lord, whose philosophy is:
"Take whatever you want. You've earned it."
---
Are you a greedy person?
Only when it comes to French fries. As soon as my own desires harm other people, I'm out.
So what virtue would you like more of?
Patience. I'm a very restless person. But at least I'm aware that it's one of my biggest weaknesses.
What is a small weakness of yours?
Women who enjoy cheeseburgers and beer, like Gal Gadot after filming.
How would one imagine a Wonder Woman after work? Who is your superheroine?
My older sister Javiera. We are four siblings. But because my brothers are 12 and 17 years younger than me, I spent the first chapter of my life with my sister. I adored her and always fought for her attention. I think I may have driven her almost crazy sometimes.
What would you be today without your sister?
Much less cool. Everything that makes life worthwhile, all the good and beautiful things, I learned from her. We still talk on the phone every day. I maintain this close connection with all my siblings.
Does someone marry into your family too?
Oh yes. A woman would have to accept that the whole gang is very present in our shared life. Family first, whatever happens.
Your Instagram account is called @pascalispunk. Does the "punk" part have anything to do with it, or would you have to change that?
With my sense of humor. There's an old saying: "If you can't cry, laugh." When I want to make someone laugh, I make a fool of myself. I think humor is the essence of our lives.
Being able to laugh and dance.
Everything else is a waste of air.
> "Laughing and dancing are the essence of life."
Do you cry more often or laugh more often?
It's pretty balanced.
Oh God, although now that I think about it, I recently sat in a bar with friends and couldn't stop crying...
What happened?
Prince was playing. He's my greatest icon from the 1980s. Purple Rain is my absolute favorite song.
Since Prince died, I can't listen to that song in public without crying. Then it suddenly came on in the bar.
I just said:
"I think I need to leave now."
And the tears were already rolling down my face.
What else stirs your emotions?
I've been feeling very nostalgic lately. No idea whether it's a little midlife crisis.
Maybe filming Wonder Woman 1984 pushed me too deeply into the 1980s. I was a child then, and everything was new and exciting.
I don't live in the past at all, but diving back into that period makes me emotional.
Your character takes whatever he wants because he believes he deserves it. Have you ever asked yourself: "What have I done to deserve this?"
I actually think about that a lot, because I come from an immigrant family.
I was born in Chile, and when I was one year old we fled because of the Pinochet dictatorship.
We spent nearly a year in asylum in Denmark and then moved to the United States, where I grew up.
But even today I carry the feeling that I don't really deserve anything.
To what extent does that feeling influence your life?
It has become my motto.
Not to strive to possess something, but to give your best.
The good thing is that if you stay committed to something long enough, you have a good chance of success.
For me, acting became a career through wishful thinking.
The stupid thing is that if you focus on only one thing, you don't develop other skills.
You lose the opportunity to try something else.
What would you still like to try professionally?
I'd like to be there more for other people.
I could imagine being a grief counselor or a nurse.
That idea has been in my head for a long time.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, because my job already revolves so much around me.
Which film challenged you the most?
Physically, Kingsman was a beast.
My back will probably never be the same.
As for Wonder Woman, I'm happy to report that almost all of the action work was in a woman's hands.
Does that mean a woman protected you from getting hurt?
Exactly.
When was the last time you thought: "I need a Wonder Woman in real life"?
This morning. Yesterday. The day before yesterday.
Lately every day.
We need a Wonder Woman more than ever.
There are so many strong women. We just need to finally give them more power.
You have a female Chancellor in Germany. In that regard, you're a role model for us.
Sidebar quote:
"One of my biggest nightmares is that people think I'm as cool as Javier Peña in Narcos." (laughs)
Reader question: "Pedro Pascal, what are you really like?"
"One of my best colleagues so far."
The marriage question was asked in a neutral position, he could have answered it neutral too but he didn't. He stated clearly and all other interviews too he stated women in interviews yet hinted bisexuality when he talks oberyn. Maybe he doesn't want public to know he swings both ways. So why force with stereotypes and pap pics and rumors coming from fans online imposing gay on him?
thanks for sharing @whimsicalwitch86 <3
