Did my first test of the companion cube cosplay today, I'm so excited!

I think I want to add white tights underneath the grey, to make the colour more clear. And white gloves might look good with this!

My most recent sewing project ist a knitting needle case for my dear friends birthday. I was inspired by this tutorial and am very pleased with the result. I hope she gets lots of use from it :)

I once again managed to make this almost entirely from stash materials, which I always enjoy. Only the interfacing I had to purchase, because I had just run out. The outer fabric was a remnant from a floor pouf I made and the blue inner fabric came from my grandmas stash. I have to say, getting a zipper cleanly into the corduroy was quite difficult and might have taken three attempts. (Luckily I had enough material to cut the outer piece three times)

On the 2026 Fiber Arts Bingo I am checking "Use the very nice but fiddly finishing technique" (One step bias binding by machine – I love the look but the process is so annoying to me), "Make something with the leftovers from another project" and "Freehand a project" (I used the tutorial as inspiration, but made the pattern up myself). Still no bingo, but I think I'll get there :)

Last saturday I took part in a j-fashion walk. The group was huge (more than 40 people) with many different styles represented. It was a bit exhausting, especially because we also got a lot of unwelcome attention, but it was also a super cool experience.

I made my first ever cosplay (with help by my mom) about twelve years ago, and now I'm working on my second one! I never thought I'd try it again, but this is gonna be a couples costume and I'm really excited about it ^^

I'm currently finishing the dress and after that I'll have to get shoes and a wig. The design is loosely based on this fanart, so maybe a grey one (with pink headwear, I am not skilled enough to do the thing with the pink streaks). And I might want some accessories? A matching bag? I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing and it's kind of exciting!

I stayed up way too late yesterday to finish whip stitching the lining around the armholes and the zipper. But I got so far with this costume already, and I bought a new petticoat, which works way better with the skirt. Now I only need to hem the lining, stitch on the decor pieces and make some accessories! \(^◇^)/

Hoppy Easter!

I still don't own any Easter prints, but I do have a cardigan with an embroidered bunny on it and a Wish Me Well plush keyring. Leaning into the pastel vibes for our Easter picnic meet.
