Nothing of Nothing

Sometimes I just feel as if I’m flying through this world, looking down at everything or everyone.. no one ever noticing me or even care to take a glance at me.. truly it’s what comes down to “beauty is in The eyes of the beholder” 😏. Yes I tend to be insecure of myself, I guess it has to do with the way people/females just never take a glance my way because of my weight. Unfortunately I tend to hide myself, not expose how I feel. The one I want makes me feel in a way I’m not worthy to be loved. I guess that’s just life for me

It’s the most despicable feeling ever, and yes there are times when you just feel like that... well I know I do. And trying to shake off those feelings can be hard, it’s a battle with one self being. Forgetting is no a such thing.. because of memory. A couple of weeks ago i went into a restaurant to eat, i was served, the food in front of me and waiting for someone else to be served in front of me. I realized on how alone I was, I don’t mean alone without friends, but alone without a companion, some to look forward to seeing and telling them how much I love them, to be able to caress or be carresed. Yes I have the Love I get from God, I live to see another day, and I thank Him for that Gift and His gift of Grace and Salvation. But I wish I could share moments with someone here on earth and that’s what makes one feel loveless

Fat Man Problems, Gordito Problems

So if you’re a big man, you may like this.. one of the most common things a big man hates is having to shop for clothes, it’s hard to select something that is really oneself because the limited clothing designs that are available to us. They, the clothing industry cater to people who look perfect, I had reposted a blog regarding those facts.But why is that they never have real big men model the plus size cloth? I thank God for those big guys that do it, it gives a great perspective on how it would look like on me.

What I notice the clothes that is designed for us are either silk screened T-shirts, elastic waist band pants, limited designed shoes that are wide, no actual major name brands, there a few.... like 5 or something like that. The style is usually a hip hop style or damn office style, nothing else really... shopping for clothes is very painful, as much as it is for a small woman that has to wear kid size undees..lol.. so far I can only go shop to Casual Male XL or The Mens Warehouse, that’s it, ordering online well that’s another factor, looks nice but the materials are not always good but yet expensive. There should be more stores catering to us men, as there is for women.. maybe that’s why a lot of me. Don’t get out to shop, for one to clothes is to damn expensive, then limited design, then not enough stores to go to. Isn’t this kind of business behavior considered discriminatory for big men, think about it... The U.S. is the heaviest of all and the biggest spenders (no punt intended.. bs yeah it was lol) we are the fastest country In The world... talk about segregation...lol.. anyways that’s just an ongoing rant , and by the way IDGAF what people have to say that goes to those fat people haters.. Don’t Hate Me Cause I’m Phat!!

long post about super fat men’s clothing

I want to point something out that many fat activists, particularly fat women, don’t want to acknowledge: it’s very difficult for super fat people who wear men’s clothing to find clothes. 

(NOTE: I am operating within the context of the clothing industry when I discuss this. People have a huge range of genders but the clothing industry only has two, and that’s why I use the term “men’s clothing”. It’s a bad framework and it needs addressing.)

Now, I’m in Australia where plus size men’s clothing is virtually non-existent - here you can get a men’s 3xl in stores like Target but they fit like XLs. Lowes is pretty much the only store my husband can shop in, he’s anywhere from a 7-9xl depending on their extremely inconsistent fit. Not all of their lines go to a 9xl, many stop at 7xl. There are other “big and tall” men’s stores but their clothing lines are very limited once you are beyond a 5xl and VERY cost prohibitive. He puts off buying clothes and underwear because the process is traumatic every time. And expensive, considering the quality of the clothing. 

He called in sick to work today because he has nothing to wear. This is a very material consequence of the lack of clothing options for super fat people, regardless of your gender. Places of employment have clothing standards that vary, and if you have no access to appropriate clothing your employment can be jeopardised. Or you just simply do not get a job. 

I wear women’s clothing, and I am about the same size as Nick but with a larger chest and butt. I wear women’s clothing and have been sewing about 80% of my wardrobe for the last few years because I am larger than a size 26, the cap on the size range of most Australian women’s plus size offerings. I’m probably a size 28-30 but I’m not sure. My husband and I have similarly limited options, I can shop at Autograph if I’m desperate because their clothing has a generous fit, but there are more women’s clothing online stores out there I can shop at - particularly in the UK. 

Here’s the thing: I can find sewing patterns that go up to my size. Granted I am right on the end of the size chart of a very small selection of patterns, but more indie pattern makers are expanding their size chart so it’s looking positive. Men’s clothing patterns? Yeah, good luck. Simplicity discontinued the only very large “big men’s” shirt pattern on the market a few years ago, I had to buy it on ebay; it’s a wonderful pattern but has had to be modified for a more modern fit. I’ve made a lot of shirts from it! No one is making patterns for super fat men’s clothing, even indie designers. They stop at 3xl most of the time. 

I have tried to draft patterns; it’s hard and it takes a lot of time and training. It’s very difficult for me to focus on for long enough to get results because I have no formal training and I need to use most of my time on my jewellery business in order to earn an income. Super fat people can’t just drop everything and sew their own clothing because a) they need to earn an income in order to just, you know, live; and b) where are the sewing patterns, for big men’s clothing in particular? 

My heart breaks for Nick. His self esteem is shot and he feels like his professional life is being held back due to to lack of appropriate clothing. I managed to save up some money and did an order for him on badrhino.com - it’s a huge AUD$250 gamble because returns to the UK are fucking expensive. I cross my fingers and hope it works out.

Hate the fact the clothing industry does not survey big men, real plus size men, they model only tall men with an average build mostly tall, they assume everyone has arms & elephant legs.. clothes is really wide, on the average the tapper is 12”&13” i have to cut it down to 10.5”.. designs are limited; they seem to cater to one style of dressing I noticed the companies target a certain style..just Pay attention

Here me out for second…

I believe Capricorn Sun & Moon sign combinations need more love and support from people.

Like, my girl friends avoid these combos because they think they’re “assholes” and “bad lovers”. I’ve heard this from a few other friends in my lifetime too. It’s more common than you think. I actually avoided Capricorn signs for the longest time because of their reputation for being heartless. Let’s be clear though, Capricorns certainly can be coldhearted, dominating, appathetic and stubborn at times.

But…

Capricorns are also gentle, patient, and kind individuals at heart.

They will protect all they love with their entire existence. These people love to provide and support the ones they love and will always be the “calm one” under mass amounts of pressure. These are the responsible and noble lovers that are unsure of how to show you just how much their heart aches for you. They’re bashful within even when they’re cool and calm on the outside. It’s not that this sign can’t feel, it’s that they feel too much. They feel literally everything and thus makes them afraid to express their true raw emotions.

They fear emotional rejection and fear looking weak when expressing their raw emotions to the other signs.

A Sun & Moon combo only amplifies these emotional fears. Caps only want their lovers safe & happy and when their partners aren’t, these combos take it to heart as if they’re the root cause. Even if they aren’t to be blamed for your unhappiness to a Capricorn they still are at fault because they can’t change that fact. Capricorn Moon culture makes this almost unbearable to handle as it’s chalked up to being a failure in a Capricorn’s eyes. They hate sadness so much they would do literally anything to help end it. They aren’t stifling you by buying you materialistic gifts, they’re desperately trying to make you happy in a realist’s point of view. Capricorns feel deep purpose in helping their partners and loved ones and so they can be seen as sexist, controlling, or overly dominate when all they want to do is provide a stable loving home for you. They really are complete softies despite their hard as a rock exterior.

So please the next time you run into a Capricorn, especially a Sun & Moon combo give them a chance. Chip away at their walls and earn their trust. It’s worth the time to get to know them. Trust me I would know, I’m happily married to one 😉
