Back from a well-needed vacation ^^ I feel refreshed and art is fun again. Here comes some character design for Dragon Dreamers.Meet Cornelia, Ofelia's big sister! :D She's already a pro dragon dreamer (oooh, sibling rivalry~). I kinda went nuts with the detail on the corset, and I will probably NOT have the energy to make it that detailed in the actual comic XD

Designs for my Endless Rain project :D  Oceanea is a corrupt medical company which secretly works in gene splicing and cyborg tech. Like any good evil corporation, they have their own intelligence bureau and private military ;)

Been sketching and designing the dragons for Dragon Dreamers :D I've been waiting for this. Now that the main characters are basically finished, I can finally design their dragons ^^ Just like Digimon, the dragons can switch between different evolutions. These would be for the first, smallest stage.

Studying cartoony color & light: featuring Charmander! :D Pokemon are really great for studying simplified light on forms, since they're basically just made up of soft geometric forms XD

Reference sheet for Figaro! :D His design is finally complete. I think I did the first version when I started the Dragon Dreamers project back in 2015 XD it's been a while. I had a lot of fun drawing a those little poses at the bottom, so expect more stuff like that :)

New characters for my JRPG project! :D They're not final, and could all be redesigned/removed, but it's a start. This is a new project that I started working on, little by little, last year. I felt like my other projects didn't quite scratch that itch for a true JRPG story, where I could go nuts and create really elaborate character and environment designs, as well as a more mature story.

Studies done last week :D I'm trying to improve my basic drawing skills: it's the foundation for almost everything after all. I've always been a person who preferred to work with lines rather than shapes. (It's probably due to years and years of drawing before I even started trying to paint).

My art teacher back in highschool wanted me to work more with shape, and she was right of course. This approach lets me think in shapes, but WORK with lines, by sketching in big shapes first and gradually adding detail and line weight.

It's all done in photoshop with Kyle's pencil brush and a paper texture background :)

The first character model for my personal MOBA project, Champions of the Zodiac, Sagittarius! :D  I made her concept and splash illustration back in October, and thought I'd take it to the next level. She was made using the Dota 2 asset guide as reference.

Remember that Zodiac project I've been doing characters and splash art for? I figured it needed some more world building. So I went ahead and made some props and buildings that could be on the map of that fictional MOBA game! :D

The theme is star signs after all, so it made sense for the factions to be star-based as well. That shiny white team over there is the "Celestial" and the sparkly dark team is the "Galactic".

Photobash concept for a more detailed illustration I want to do later :D It was helpful to try out the composition/colours this way, but it ended up taking more time than I thought it would.
