Put a man in uniform, preferably a white man, give him a gun, and Americans will worship him. It is a particularly childish trait, of a childlike culture, that insists on anointing all active military members and police officers as “heroes.” The rhetorical sloppiness and intellectual shallowness of affixing such a reverent label to everyone in the military or law enforcement betrays a frightening cultural streak of nationalism, chauvinism, authoritarianism and totalitarianism, but it also makes honest and serious conversations necessary for the maintenance and enhancement of a fragile democracy nearly impossible.
It’s been 70 years since we fought a war about freedom. Forced troop worship and compulsory patriotism must end
Calling all cops and troops heroes insults those who actually are heroic – the soldier who runs into the line of fire to protect his division, the police officer who works tirelessly to find a missing child – by placing them alongside the cops who shoot unarmed teenagers who have their hands in the air, or the soldier who rapes his subordinate.
It also degrades the collective understanding of heroism to the fantasies of high-budget, cheap-story action movies. The American conception of heroism seems inextricably linked to violence; not yet graduated from third-grade games of cops and robbers. Explosions and smoking guns might make for entertaining television, but they are not necessary, and more and more in modern society, not even helpful in determining what makes a hero.

This Award-winning fantasy novel is free to read online! Athanasia: The Great insurrection
In Athanasia, an ancient land of 21 kingdoms, a great evil that has hidden its face for many thousands of years is emerging. This is the first book in a 6 book series by Thomas Coutouzis
In the quarters of Mardok, leader of the Adelphos, a meeting was taking place. Mardok was very handsome and had an olive complexion, dark eyes and a shaved head. He stood on the balcony going over his plan once more with one of his fellow Adelphos who served King Argos.
“Arsinian, where do things stand?” said Mardok.
Arsinian smiled as he looked off into the distance and said, “Everything is ready. They will never know what has overtaken them. All but six have agreed to serve you. Those six did not comprehend what I proposed, so they remain oblivious to our plans. They couldn’t fathom ruling Athanasia. However, only two truly need to be eliminated for things to work in our favor. Plans are in place to purge them from existence.

Doubt is the middle position between knowledge and ignorance. It encompasses cynicism but also genuine questioning.
And Jesus answered them, Truly I say to you, if you have faith (a firm relying trust) and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done.” (Matthew 21:21, AMP)
We’ve all had seasons when the challenges of life feel overwhelming. During those times, it’s easy to be tempted to talk about how bad things are. Maybe you received a bad medical report, or maybe you’re facing a financial obstacle. The more you talk about something, the bigger it becomes in your mind. Instead, you’ve got to dig your heels in and say, “No, I am not going to give life to that defeat. I am not going to speak sickness over myself. I’m not going to speak lack. I’m not going to speak fear. I’m choosing a different report. I believe the report of the Lord which says, ‘I can do all things through Christ. I can defeat this sickness. I can break this addiction. I can have peace in my home. I can see restoration in my relationships.’ ”
Remember, even if you don’t see how things could ever work out, God does. You’ve got to speak His Word over those mountains in your life and declare favor over those situations. Instead of talking to God about how big your problems are, talk to your problems about how big your God is! As you speak to your mountains, they will be moved, and you will walk forward into the victory God has prepared for you!

A white Army veteran ambushed a Georgia State Police post earlier this week, opened fire on troopers, dared them to kill him – and was captured with a shoulder wound.
The incident, which took place Monday in Gainesville, stands in sharp contrast to recent police shootings of unarmed black suspects across the country.
Investigators said 21-year-old Leighton Marchetta was intoxicated when he drove to the state police post about 8 a.m. Monday and fired at two troopers with a high-power hunting rifle capable of penetrating a bulletproof vest.
“He was saying something to the effect of, ‘You guys are going to have to kill me,’” said Sherry Lang, a spokeswoman for the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.
Marchetta then charged toward the troopers, Steve Thompson and Jeremy Allison, who took cover and fired two shots – wounding the gunman in the shoulder.
Authorities used a helicopter and Hall County SWAT team to secure the area and take Marchetta into custody a short time later.

WHY DIDN’T THEY TEACH YOU ABOUT THIS IN HISTORY CLASS?
The Christian Movement for Life, aka, MOVE
a pro-green, vegan, anti-technology group
living in a house in West Philadelphia
BOMBED by the Philly PD, from the air, on May 13, 1985
YES, 1985!!!
the city killed 11 people (5 children), burned down 65 homes in a Black, middle-class, West Philly neighborhood, and caused $50,000,000.00 damage - all to “evict” the group and recover two shotguns
You know of Mumia Abu-Jamal (3rd photo from bottom) but did you know he was affiliated with MOVE?
Ramona Africa (2nd photo from bottom) and one child survived
MOVE leader John Africa was murdered that day
This was not the ONLY time an American city was bombed, btw. The first time, it was ALSO whites bombing Black people. And you want to talk about TERRORISM???
And what else don’t you know about your country and it’s treatment of Black people?
Get to Googling… AND Youtubing…
The US government dropped a bomb on a row house in a major American city and no one ever seems to mention it
30 years ago today. No one from the city government was ever criminally charged. Click here to watch the documentary. Click here to read the book.
