Purpose

This blog was created to expose CLT Uprising. We need change in Charlotte but we can’t have the change we need with the people who are claiming to fight for the voiceless harassing those who are most marginalized and most vulnerable. 

We want to show the community that we don’t stand for bullying and using identity politics to gain monetary support without doing any tangible work. The Charlotte Uprising has harmed more people than helped and shouldn’t be supported. 

The group is made up of trans/queer people who claim to be victimized but mostly come from privileged families. The group claims to fight for the community but focus their energy on auditing other trans and queer community members. They tear down anything built for the trans/queer/poc community that doesn’t align with their narrow values.

The group victimizes and manipulates black transgender women, the identity that they claim to support.

The group has white members who “call out racists” but spend their time tearing down and harassing other black and brown people in the community. 

The group goes out of their way to purposely get arrested and claim to be targeted by police, draining bail funds and wasting resources that could have been utilized for real and legitimate revolutionary actions.

The group is physically and emotionally violent. 

The group is by definition a cult. “ a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing,person, ideal, etc. “  Specifically, a political cult who doesn’t let outsiders in and keeps a tight control of their members. They accept donations without any real accountability about what they are doing with the money. 

The group, if left unchecked, will continue to attack trans and queer poc folx who they claim to support. They will prey on marginalized and vulnerable people.  They will accept money from community that could go to meaningful activism and projects. The Charlotte community does not stand for bullying and violence and we won’t let this continue.

Something Has To Be Done About Pedophilia And It’s Prevalence In The Black Community.

Y’all joke about it, but let me tell you a story: See, back in ‘94 (yeah, you youngins), our sociology teacher mentioned that today was the 25th anniversary of Sesame Street. And he proceeded to tell a story.

See, he was in kindergarten when Sesame Street first aired, and he saw the first episode, live, with his classmates. He described the experience of seeing this for the first time as incredible. The entire class loved it.

The next day, however, the teacher announced that they could no longer show it, due to some people upset that it showed interracial friendships, of kids of different ethnicities playing together. Keep in mind that this show was only two years after laws banning interracial marriages were overturned.

So yeah. They’ve been doing the right thing before many of us here were even alive.

They also handled death better than pretty much any show ever. I remember when Mr Hooper died. Well, really the actor playing him died. They could have written around it or ignored it, but they didn’t. They did a whole show about death and grief, and it was moving and completely perfect. And it pissed people off because it was a kids show and I guess some people think kid shows should be happy all the time. Sesame street is the best show. I would have said so at 5, and I still say so as a childfree 35 year old.

It really is sad and heartbreaking how immigrants are afraid to evacuate bc they’re afraid ICE cares more about deporting them than their safety

matter of fact they’re not just afraid, they’re literally not leaving their flooded homes caused by hurricane harvey…. the gross ass border patrol is still doing their usual checkpoint procedures despite the natural crisis.

oh and it gets worse. ICE left 50 immigrant women and children stranded on a bus before hurricane harvey hit. they left those women and children to die because they cared more about protecting themselves before the storm hits. thankfully the immigrants found shelter, but due to these circumstances, we all know where the government lies when it comes to the protection of immigrants….pay close attention to how this all plays out bc it’s really sickening and heartbreaking.
