“And some of us are lucky enough to find it,” she added with a nod. “I get ya. I’m glad to hear that things are working out well for some of the pairs, especially for you. I figured I’d get here and find everyone feeling all doom and gloom about it, even a couple of months in, you know?” She watched the bartender come back over with the bottle, nodding to get her own glass refilled before shrugging in response to Charlotte’s suggestion. “Very straightforward, which is kind of my fear. I don’t know if I can handle that kind of bluntness if he truly doesn’t like me at all.”
“Agreed.” Charlotte replied with a nod, before accepting another mug of blood from the bartender. She sipped it appreciatively. “Oh yes. I think a few people are struggling but most of us start out in the same boat. Strangers trying to make it work. But I did get lucky. Maya is extraordinarily lovely inside and out. I couldn’t have selected better.” Charlotte looked over at the pretty brunette. “Well, I doubt he doesn’t like you at all. But when you are ready, I guess you will ask.”
