Regretting their actions - Atsumu | Iwaizumi | Suna
Warning: fluff, comedy, Atsumu being a selfish prick, nsfw, mdni!
You all know Atsum's little quirk that he always needs complete silence in the sports hall when serving in volleyball, right?
You actually thought it was kind of cool and found it almost sexy. However, Atsumu doesn't just have this quirk only in volleyball.
You've just come home from a party, both slightly drunk, when Atsumu presses you against the wall in the hallway, sharing sloppy and heated kisses with you while his hands impatiently open your dress, his foot somehow slamming the entrance door shut.
âFuck babe, âm gonna fuck that pretty pussy of yer's so hard. Ain't no way ya will walk tomorrow.â Atsumu mutters between your messy kisses.
âDon't you dare not keep your words, nasty assâ You breathe while Atsumu flashes you a mischievous grin, pressing his pelvis against you to show you exactly what awaits you.
âSassy. Want me to stuff another hole of yer first?â He purrs in your ear and gives you a challenging look before he grabs you by your thighs and lifts you up. Instinctively, you wrap your legs around his hips. âCut the chitchat.â You say impatiently as you grab a fistful of his hair and tilt his head back to kiss him fiercely. Something Atsumu didn't have to be told twice.
Your clothes lay scattered on the floor, both of you naked on the cold bed sheets. Everything was perfect, Atsumu's face buried between your legs while his tongue and fingers tease you down there, making you moan in so many tones, making you cum on his face.
You had no time to catch your breath from your orgasm because his warm hands are already playing with your bare body, his tongue toying with your nipples before he kisses you again, your breath mingling. His length glides through your entrance, making you moan higher and louder with each thrust. Lewd sounds echo through the room every time his hip slaps against your skin. Both of you are close, your bodies hot as Atsumu groans, enjoying how your breasts bounce up and down under his thrusts, as you bury your head further into the sheets.
âShit, yer so fuckinâ hot babe.â Atsumu says, sensing that he's about to cum. He grabs your legs to spread them even wider, supporting himself better before he fucks you harder and more impatiently. The new angle makes you cry out with sheer lust, your moans grow even louder.
âBabe, hush, âm gonna cum.â Atsumu hisses, who somehow loses his rhythm due to your noisy sobs. Yet you can't hear him in your high.
The blond Miya becomes more upset as he grabs a pillow and pushes it into your face that swallows your screams. Silence⊠how fucking niceâŠ
âAh yeah babe, I'm gonna fill ya up so well.â He says, as thick ropes of sperm fill your insides before he collapses on top of you.
âAaah babe love ya. Was so damn good.â Atsumu chuckles, but you kick him off you angrily and pull the pillow off your face. âOh, no way you really did that, Atsumu fucking Miya, you jerk!â You say mad and only now does Atsumu realize what he did just seconds ago. He grimaces sheepishly, puts his hands up as if to show that he surrenders. But he could be on his knees in front of you right now, begging and kissing your feet, you'd still want to grab him by the throat and would tell him what a selfish asshole he is.
But whatever, next time you'll get your sweet revenge when you 'accidentally' moan his brother's name.
Osamu, oh Osamu⊠You never thought you would be so happy that Atsumu has a twin brother.
Hmmmm.... I thought about writing about wind breaker too, but I'm not sure if ppl would like that since my account is mostly filled with Haikyu fics/hc's... đ€đ«Ł
Kita is the kind of person who looks very calm and mature on the outside to everyone. Mostly very plain and boring. Someone who simply follows his daily routine and never really has fun or does anything unusual, let alone forbidden. And the fact that he got into a serious relationship after long consideration, where he had weighed up whether it really made sense, whether he could really provide for two people, possibly a family, in order to get married after two years, only confirms that his life is anything but exciting. Right?Â
Well⊠Thatâs what Suna and Atsumu, as well as his twin brother and Ojiro, thought when the boys had watched a game of the Schweiden Adlers in Kitas home while relaxing and drinking Sake.Â
It was Suna who came up with the idea of having a little drinking game during the break. A game called âIâve never...â where you always have to gulp down a shot when youâve already done the things. Knowing full well that Kita wonât drink anything during the game anyway, after all, Kitaâs life is boring. Right?
Well, no one would have thought that Kita would be the one who drinks the most, answering questions like âIâve never had sex in a carâ, âIâve never had sex in a friendâs houseâ, âIâve never had sex in an elevatorâ, âIâve never sent nude photosâ without hesitation, taking his glass and drinking shot after shot without batting an eyelid.Â
âIn a car? Shinsuke, that means a vehicle. If the frame of yer bed looks like a car, that doesnât count,â came first from Atsumu, who thought Kita didnât understood the rules. But Kita just looked at him blankly. âNo, of course a car, and the tractor... But thatâs not what was asked,â he said dryly. Not knowing that he would silence all the boys for the first time.
When asked about drinking when youâve already had sex in someone elseâs house, everyone thought Kita was referring to your previous apartment before you two moved in together. No one expected Kitaâs calm answer. âSo, that means the first time, right? I think it must have been when Osamu first moved. I think it was then...â While Osamu was thinking about which rooms he should disinfect again, the others just looked at each other speechlessly, still stuck on the words âI think it must have been when...â. Only now do they realize that this was probably not a onetime thing.Â
And when asked about the nude pictures, he smiled mischievously, uncharacteristically for him, before he said, âHow do you think you can keep your wife happy in a relationship?âÂ
It was with these words that you came out of the kitchen with a beautifully made dessert. Your smile so innocent and cheerful. Something that didnât fit in at all with what the boys had just found out.Â
And for a moment, Suna had cursed himself for suggesting this game, for knowing things now that wouldnât leave his head.Â
And for the first time, no one thought that Kita Shinsuke had a boring and dull life.Â
Iwaizumi likes to include you in everything. He doesnât do this because he wants to show you off to others, but because he likes having you by his side. Whether itâs at home or when he goes out with friends.Â
Well, maybe he wants to tease Oikawa a little about how lucky he is with you and how happy he is. But he would never admit that out loud.Â
Even if it rarely happens, but when you argue with others, he always has your back, because nobody makes a fool of his girlfriend. No one is allowed to make you sad or tease you.Â
OIKAWA TOORU
Oikawa maintains a healthy and good relationship with his family and is surprisingly responsible for the people he cares about.Â
Even if you donât believe it at first because of his appearance, Oikawa is someone who would share the household chores with you. Taking out the garbage, cooking twice a week, mowing the lawn and vacuuming are things that Oikawa would do so that you donât have to do all the work alone.Â
Actually, he wouldnât say no to anything if you asked him, but donât you dare ask him to put the folded laundry away in the closet. The poor guy has no idea how to categorize your clothes. When does he know at what point a sweater is no longer supposed to be put on a hanger and when it should only be folded and put in the closet? Itâs a science for him.Â
AKAASHI KEIJI
Akaashi is extremely supportive. If you tell him about any plans, he stands behind you or talks to you openly to show his interest. He also stops you in a calm tone if you go a bit overboard and set yourself unrealistic ideas or goals.Â
Akaashi is also someone who maintains eye contact. Like⊠always!  Â
So when you talk to him, even if itâs just your daily routine, Akaashi listens to you attentively and always looks up to meet your eyes.Â
BOKUTO KOUTAROU
Bokuto is such a simple-minded person and so positive.Â
But probably his sweetest green flag is that he is always extremely happy to see you. Really, like a little kid getting his favorite ice cream as a present.Â
You send him a picture of you during his training? He plays twice as well. You cheer him on in the stands in his jersey? He plays five times better. Youâre already at home when he comes back from a hard training session? Oh, he quickly throws his bag away and hugs you from behind, lovingly and firmly, sways lightly with you across the room and enjoys your laughter while he gives you several little kisses on the back of your neck and tells you how much he has missed you.Â
SAKUSA KIYOOMI
Sakusaâs green flag is probably something more normal. At least it should be normal. Because he always treats you with respect. Unless youâre really arguing, then heâs just moody and childish.Â
But otherwise, it is important to him that you are equal. For him, there is no âbetter halfâ in a relationship. He respects you and would never talk down to you. The only thing he would agree to is when people say that there is a stronger partner in the relationship. Biologically, as a man, he is stronger than you in some things, but thatâs it.Â
KITA SHINSUKE
Once in an official relationship with Kita, he is fully committed to it. Kita weighs it up for a long time and it takes a really long time for you both to get into a relationship, but once you are in one, you can be sure that Kita will do everything to make sure that you are doing well as a couple or later as a family.Â
It is important to him that you are happy. That you are both content and can grow together through everyday life and any hurdles.Â
Besides this aspect, Kita is also a very hard-working person who never complains about his work, but simply draws a neutral conclusion at the end of the day, or if something great has happened, focuses on this event and very rarely has negative emotions.Â
MIYA ATSUMU
Atsumu always compliments you. Even if they are sometimes hidden in teasing comments.Â
The blond Miya twin and jealousy? Nah, never. He would never be a boyfriend who would tell you âdonât wear that, itâs too revealing.â Instead, he would look at you with bright eyes, mouth wide open before saying something like âbabe, ya look hot as shit in that thing.â Does he sometimes have dirty thoughts? Yes, actually very often.Â
Atsumu is also someone who is like your best friend. He loves to make you laugh, fool around with you and just be a kid again. Happy wife, happy life or something like that, right?
MIYA OSAMU
Osamu is an easy partner in many ways. Although he is sometimes childish towards his brother and even his closest friends, he is often very mature towards you.Â
He always tries to include you in his plans. Aran invites him to a party? Osamu first asks if you can come too. Suna asks him if he wants to come over to play? He first asks you if you have any plans for that day and if it would be fine for you if he went to his friendâs house for a few hours. Not that you would forbid him. He knows that you have no problem with that, but he would like to let you know just to be on the safe side.Â
USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI
Ushijima is blunt. But at the same time, he is also very honest. So if you get stuck or need an honest opinion, you know that Ushijima will always give you his straightforward opinion.Â
Although itâs probably hard to imagine, Ushijima is a very responsible person who cares about the close friends and family (even if he doesnât show it directly). You donât have to remind him to take out the trash, for example. When the dryer beeps because itâs finished, he doesnât wait until the beeping stops, instead he gets up and turns off the dryer and folds the dry clothes (even if he swears a hundred times because he doesnât understand womenâs clothes at all).
Ushijima may not understand when you have an emotional outburst, but he takes you in his arms and strokes your back. Wordlessly, because he never knows what to say, but at least heâs physically there for you.Â
SEMI EITA
Semi is a good and attentive listener. When you tell him something, he doesnât have a phone in his hand or do anything else. His attention is fully focused on you. With his eyes fixed on you, he waits and lets you finish until you look at him so that he can answer you.Â
Even when youâre out, Semi is attentive to your body language. If he notices that you feel uncomfortable, he always puts his hand gently on your lower back or tries to involve you in conversations so that you donât feel alone.Â
KUROO TETSUROU
Kurooâs green flag is probably the mix of adult behavior and somehow childish moments.Â
Sometimes he teases you, but not meanly, more to make you laugh. He teases you when youâre sulking about little things so that your mood quickly lifts again.Â
If you are really arguing and it is obvious that the conversation could escalate, you have a codeword that Kuroo usually uses and with this word you both stop arguing. You both take a deep breath and it is usually Kuroo who will come to terms with you, even if you started the argument.Â
ENNOSHITA CHIKARA
Ennoshita is someone you canât really argue with. He always tries to resolve conflicts calmly and in a healthy way. When you argue, it usually happens in such a way that you sit down together. He listens to your view of things and he tells you his point of view and then it ends with both of you reflecting and apologizing.Â
Ennoshita is also very tidy around the house and willingly shares the chores with you.Â
Moreover, Ennoshita is someone who is not jealous because he trusts you completely.Â
SUGAWARA KOUSHI
Sugawaraâs green flag is probably a mix of his humor, which always cheers you up and motivates you in sad moments, and his adult, sensitive personality.Â
Sugawara can tell from the tip of your nose whether you are in a good or bad mood. If you are sad, he always tries to cheer you up with funny jokes, gives you a hug and literally attacks you with cuddles.Â
If you text him that you have your period and want him to buy you tampons or pads, he wonât be disgusted or refuse because buying these products is ânot manlyâ, but will buy them without hesitation and give them to you, making sure to get exactly the right size or the pads that have these little wings. Would you like a hot water bottle and a cup of tea? No problem, Sugawara treats you like a princess and pampers you with everything you need. But letâs be honest, thatâs what he does 24/7, anyway. Â
SAWAMURA DAICHI
Daichi is extremely responsible and mature. If anything happens, whether youâre feeling bad, you need someone to pick you up from a party or you have to go to appointments together, Daichi is there and you never feel like youâre alone because heâs always your main pillar of support.Â
Heâs never forgotten an appointment, whether itâs your anniversary, when he always buys you flowers, or your birthday, or night-outs with friends. Every appointment is in his head... probably every appointment is also saved on his phone, but that doesnât matter. He remembers them all.Â
Heâs also not jealous at all. Itâs probably because heâs quite mature, but Daichi has no problem with you talking to other men or having male friends. After all, you are his girlfriend for a reason. He knows that you love him and he has nothing to worry about.Â
Pairing: Suna x reader, Semi x reader, best friend Atsumu x reader

Addition: Hi you all! I had a lot of fun with this request. This is the end of the mini-smau for now. I would be happy if you tell me if you like stuff like this or if you like a HC in one post more. âșïžđ
Prev | Chapter 8 (END)
It was strange... Suna hadnât had such a sickening feeling in his stomach for a long time. As if his stomach was spinning, as if he was about to vomit. But it wasnât because of the alcohol, which he had been drinking almost like water recently. It was because he had seen the photos of you. The fact that he had read the news about you and Semi. Just the thought of seeing you with another man makes him angry. JealousâŠÂ
âShit!â he curses and slumps down on his bed, looking at his phone. At a photo that a paparazzo had taken of you. Itâs not really sharp but Suna clearly recognizes your facial features and those of Semi... only that Semi is much too close to you for his taste⊠And yet you look happy... It frustrates him⊠Letting out a sigh, he closes the site with the picture, searches for some bars to blow off some steam, to numb his feelings.Â
- - - - - -
âSemi, Semi Eita? Is that you?â it suddenly slips out of Sunaâs mouth as he stands at the bar counter and sees a man who looks too much like the rising idol. The man puts his credit card in his pocket before he stares in Sunaâs direction.
It is obviously Semi Eita⊠How pathetic⊠Life really wants to punish him even more than it already has. âSuna...â Semi says a little more quietly so that the other party guests donât turn around and, in the worst case, recognize one of them.Â
He takes a step towards Suna, standing proud and tall in front of the equally tall man with green eyes.
âIs there anything I can help you with?â Semi asks, although he can guess what Suna wants from him. Suna looks past Semi, checking if you are anywhere to be seen. But he doesnât see you. Youâre probably in one of the VIP rooms, or Semi is here alone. But no, why should he go here alone?
As far as Suna could figure out, Semi doesnât live anywhere near here. So why would he go to a local bar like this if he didnât live here? You must be around here somewhere. This is his chance. Probably his last chance to talk to you. And even if he has to open every door to every single VIP room. But first he has to get past Semi. Giving Semi a slightly arrogant look, Suna puts his hands in his pockets. âAs if... canât a famous person just go out and party? After all, youâre here too.âÂ
Semi wrinkles his eyebrows skeptically. âBut you spoke to me first... so what do you want? Do you want to talk about your ex-girlfriend?â Semi says a little more gruffly, but Suna continues to act nonchalant, even though his heart skips a beat at the word âex-girlfriendâ.Â
âAnd what do you have to do with her?â he asks in an indifferent tone again, as if he doesnât already know that there are several headlines about the two of you. Just as Semi is about to speak, the tall man feels a hand on his back and a few seconds later, you are standing next to him. âEita... Tsumu met an old school friend and wanted to stay a little longer. Letâs go ho-â just as youâre about to finish your sentence, you see Semiâs grim eyes and look over to the front.
Your eyes widen, your mouth is suddenly dry and your hand, which was resting gently on Semiâs back a moment ago, clenches into a fist. What on earth is Suna doing here? Itâs been so many months since he kicked you out of the band, but the betrayal is still buried deep inside you. Seeing him brings back all your feelings. His hurtful words, that cold look when he told you that nobody wants to hear your voice and how bad you are. His words had hurt you more back then than being kicked out of the band.
Sunaâs heart starts to beat faster. It pained him when he finally saw you again. You may be wearing a face mask and a cap, but Suna would always recognize you, even from several meters away, with dyed hair, tinted contact lenses⊠He could always spot you. These green eyes look at you with an expression you canât sort. Suna wants to say something, but he canât think of any words. He just stands there, rooted to the spot.
âEita... letâs go home...â you say, a little agitated, and grab his arm. Semi nods in understanding and takes the initial steps out of the club with you by his side. âWait, letâs talk, please... P-please...â Suna says suddenly, instinctively trying to grab your wrist, but Semi stands between you, grasping Sunaâs arm and giving him a serious look. He doesnât say a word, doesnât want to make a fuss in front of so many people, just shakes his head before letting Suna go again.
âI donât want to talk, Rintarou... Never again...â you reply in a cold, slightly hurt tone before walking out with Semi, not looking back in Sunaâs direction.
Suna stands there frozen, not noticing the one groupie who approaches him and shakes his arm. âOh my God, are you Suna? Can we take a picture together?â He doesnât hear her. There are only two things going on in his head right now.
Atsumu, one of his closest friends, his bandmate was in contact with you all the time. Atsumu knew all the time where you lived, how you were doing⊠And yet he told him nothing. Suna cannot believe it. He feels betrayed by one of his closest friends. What about the others? Kita, Osamu, Yuki? Are any of them still in contact with you and no one has said anything? Suna canât describe the feeling inside him right now.
He is angry, frustrated. His whole body feels warm and he canât think straight right now. He feels like everyone has lied to him, lied to his face repeatedly, and watched him break down internally with a smile on their faces.
They all knew that he regretted it. That he kept trying to talk to you. It feels like everyone has turned their backs on him. Have let him down. âShit...â Suna laughs in sheer frustration. Is that what itâs like to be deceived? Did you feel the same way back then?
Right now, Suna would like to go into every VIP room until he finds Atsumu just to pick a fight with him. Confront him. But he has no right to do so. Nevertheless, Suna would rather talk to you than to kick Atsumuâs ass. Again something shakes his arm and only now does he notice the fan girl. She looks at him questioningly.
When did she get here? What does this girl want from him? Instead of answering her question, Suna pulls his arm away and starts moving with a somewhat agitated, âSorry, I have to go.â The girl seems disappointed, but Suna has no time for that.
Without turning in her direction again, Suna storms out of the bar, out into the now chilly night. Everything is already dark, only the faint illumination of the lanterns is still on. He turns to the left, then to the right. But you are not there. His legs instinctively start moving in the hope that he might find the right path. And it seems as if the gods are on his side. Because it doesnât take long before he spots you with Semi on the other side of the street at the entrance to a small park. Uncharacteristically for him, he smiles faintly when he sees you, studies you and takes another step in your direction. But he soon realizes that the gods are not on his side after all. On the contrary⊠Itâs as if they want to laugh at him.
Yet, he watches as Semi takes your hand, brings it to his still masked lips like a gentleman and kisses the back of your hand before taking a step backwards and pulling you towards him with a spin. Happily, you laugh and land in his arms, nestled against his chest, as you bury your head in the fabric of his jacket.
Your new lover runs his free hand over the back of your neck, strolling forward to your chin to pull your face up in his direction in a tender way. He glances around, but the street is empty. Suna is standing in a dark part of the street, so neither of you can see him. After making sure that nobody is looking, Semi takes off his face mask, slides his long fingers under the loop of your own mask before releasing it on one side and leaning down to give you a kiss that is so loving and gentle.
A kiss that Suna had always given you at the beginning of the relationship. A kiss that he would love to give you again. But instead, another man is kissing you now. Seems to make you happier than Suna ever could have. He knew that it would happen at some point. That you would find a new partner one day. But why now? And why does it hurt so much?
Suna feels sick again. He feels like he has to throw up and at the same time, it is as if he has run twenty kilometers. His chest hurts, he finds it hard to breathe and his eyes... they burn. They feel warm... and suddenly his vision blurs before something warm is running down his cheeks⊠Are those... tears? Is he crying?
Is he crying because another man is kissing you? No⊠Itâs something else⊠It is the despair, the realization that he has actually lost the person who was so important to him back then⊠Still is. The realization that he took a wrong path. That the greed was too strong and he had lost sight of who and what had led him to form a band in the first place, to become successful. And that he had lost sight of the fact that he never wanted to form the band to become a worldwide celebrity, but to watch you shine on stage, blossom and live the dream you always wanted to live, while he supports you from the side with his guitar and vocals. He wanted to see you happy. See you smile and stay by your side.
And now... you seem to be happy⊠Very much so. However, without him. And knowing that this man, Semi Eita... that he makes you happy in a way that Suna couldnât, is killing him. He feels like the road that lies ahead of him and separates him from you cannot be crossed. That you are no longer reachable for him, even though you are so close. Suna could stretch out his arm, maybe take twenty or thirty steps to catch up with you, hold you tight⊠But what next?
Suna looks at his hand, which he had unconsciously stretched forward. It trembles before falling back down, almost numb. He opens his mouth... but nothing comes out. It feels as if someone is choking him. Frustrated, he bites his lip and does nothing more than watch you move away from him, hand in hand with your new lover, until you are no longer in sight. Itâs over⊠And it was his fault. His greed...
âPlease... Iâm sorry...â he whispers and looks into nothing but the darkness for a few more minutes. To where he saw you. Where he heard your laughter and saw the shining eyes that had unconsciously always made him smile back then. But now it is clear that all of this will remain just a memory for him.Â

Prev | Chapter 7 | Next
Atsumu is already sitting in your favorite bar in a private room, away from any fans who might see him. Heâs ordered a beer while heâs waiting for you and your new lover to finally arrive. Are you happy with Semi? Does he treat you well? Well, it wouldnât be hard to treat you better than Suna did in the end⊠However, Semi is also successful... What if he does something similar to you, like Suna? Yet Suna regrets it⊠even if it's too late.
One day he was at Sunaâs house, mad as he wanted to knock on his door and pull him out of the apartment because he hadnât shown up for rehearsal once again, but before he could knock, all he heard was the rattling of some object, and then a whimper from Suna. Almost as if he was crying... followed by the words âPlease come back.â Totally unusual for the otherwise so indifferent guy. That was the only day Atsumu went back to band practice without picking up Suna.
Should he perhaps have told Suna that he was still in contact with you? No, he had promised not to tell Suna anything. Even if he's worried for Suna's mental state, he would always stick to your side. He would protect you from more harm.
Sighing, Atsumu swirls his beer and tilts his head back as the door to the VIP room opens and you enter the room with Semi at your side. You take off the mask, cap and glasses that have protected you from unwanted paparazzi or fans as you run up to Atsumu with a beaming smile and hug him.
âTsumu! Weâre finally seeing each other again!â Your voice is whiny, but he can hear the joy in it as well. Semi, who is standing behind you, takes a step forward and extends his hand to politely introduce himself to Atsumu before you all sit down and order fresh drinks.Â
Atsumu is sitting on the opposite side of you. Semi and you took a seat on a spacious leather lounger, big enough to fit several people. And yet Semi sits close to you, his hand gently on your thigh as you lean against him.
It was a bit like watching a k-drama. The drinks came and you had looked over from your drink to Semi's a little frustrated. Semi, who was taking a sip of his drink, saw the look on your face and held the glass out to you with a "would you like to try?". Happily, you took a sip. It was obvious that his drink tasted better to you. Semi had also tasted yours, wasn't really convinced with it, but he smiled and just said "Yours isn't bad either. You wanna swap?" How pleased he seemed that your eyes began to shine, as you accept his drink. Atsumu lets out a soft, pleased sigh.
âSoooo ya turned my bestieâs head? Must be a genuinely good dude if she simps about ya like that.â Atsumu grins and raises his beer in a gesture as if to toast, before bringing it to his lips and taking a generous swig of the bitter drink.
âWell, actually, she turned my head pretty well.â Semi laughs sheepishly. He looks over at you, almost shy for such a big man. âYeah I know, sheâs already told me a bit about ya. Treat her well, kay?â Atsumuâs last words are barely louder than a whisper, but Semi understands them and nods.
Silence falls for a second and you feel yourself getting a little nervous. Will the two men get along? Yet the worry quickly fades as the two men start talking about everything related to music. Until Semi gets up and leaves the room briefly to go to the bathroom. Now you are alone with Atsumu and you can guess what question is coming,
âSemi... I mean Eita... he seems like a really nice guy.â Atsumu starts and looks over at the door. âYeah... heâs really great. He makes me feel like heâs backing me, supporting me...â Just like Suna used to be... except now youâre not even sure if Suna really supported you back then, or if he just did it to take advantage of you until he achieved his goal.
âYa know, I think it gotta be good for yâall... for ya and Rin if ya could talk things out. If ya could make amends with the issue. I donât wanna sugar-coat what he did. It was simply shitty and backstabbing. But I can see the band falling apart⊠Day after day, I see how much Rintarou suffers from all this, how he blames himself over and over again.â Atsumu finds it difficult to find the right words. How can he defend someone for whom fame was more important than a friendship, a dream, a love for another person?
âIf ya wanna talk-â Just as he is about to continue, the door opens again and Semi walks back in, causing Atsumu to fall silent. The musician isnât stupid. He immediately notices that something is wrong. That you were talking about something he probably shouldnât hear. Casually, he sits back down on the seat next to you, puts his arm lightly over your shoulder and smiles at you before looking at your friend.
âWhat were you two talking about?â he asks without any malicious, ulterior motives. But Atsumu is unsure whether he can tell the truth. Maybe you didnât tell Semi about the band, about being kicked out? Although... actually he would probably have found out in the news at the latest⊠After all, that was one of the biggest headlines nearly a year ago.
âWe were just talking about my ex. You know, Rintarou.â You say calmly in reply and suddenly Atsumu shows surprise, glances over at your new lover. Semi just nods understandingly. There is no hint of jealousy in his gaze. No negative thoughts. Instead, he shows interest and, above all, composure.
âWow... youâre handlinâ it real well. Most dudes would freak out if their gal talked bout their ex.â Most people get at least a little jealous, or maybe insecure, but not Semi. Atsumu is impressed by his calmness and the way he deals with the topic.
âPerhaps, but you know... Y/n told me everything and Iâm thankful for that. We are taking things really slowly. Trust doesnât build up again overnight after such a nasty incident. She knows that she has my full support and that I will wait, no matter how long. Right?â Semi says and looks over at you with a gentle smile, stroking your arm lightly with his hand, which is still over your shoulder while you return his smile and lean against him.
Atsumu is relieved... you look really happy, and Semi seems to be genuinely serious about you. Perhaps you should keep Sunaâs number blocked after all. Itâs probably better if you two donât talk in the end. If Suna simply learns to deal with the pain and forgets about you.
âShould I get us some more drinks, or should we pay?â Semiâs voice interrupts Atsumuâs thoughts as he looks at his fifth empty beer glass. Maybe he should leave it at that. After all he has another band rehearsal tomorrow. You too, look a little tired.Â
âI think thatâs it for me today.â Atsumu wails and you also seem to nod tiredly, wanting to reach for your wallet, but Semi stops you. âItâs all good. Iâll pay for us today. Iâll go ahead... you can have a chat with Atsumu before you join me again.â After his kind words, a quick kiss on the temple follows before he stands up, puts his cap and mask back on, takes his glasses and leaves the room to pay at the counter. Â
By now the club is really busy and Semi has to wait quite a while for his turn to pay. It takes him several minutes to get his credit card back and to put his card back into his pocket before he turns towards the VIP rooms to see if youâre coming out. Yet a voice makes him flinch and draws his attention in the opposite direction.

The mood was different when you came into your band room for the daily rehearsal. Atsumu walked past you and out of the room looking pissed off. Kita looked disappointed yet he and Osamu both couldnât really look at you. Suna was acting differently too. Restless somehow. The only one who, as always, sat calmly on a chair and drank her latte macchiato was Yuki.
Even though you knew something was unusual, you still asked why everyone was so tense. Silly⊠Silly that you were truly worried. Because what followed was like a slap in the face.
âYou know, babe, I need to talk to you about something. I know youâll understand...â Suna began. But no, you couldnât understand it. Sunaâs words just hurt. Just the idea that he would agree to kick you out, the actual founder of the band. You, the heart of the band⊠Back then, he looked at you with loving eyes, told you how beautiful your voice was and that he couldnât get enough of it. And now youâre supposed to leave the band that you dreamed of so hard as students because of your voice, because of your lyrics? The band that has always been your biggest dream, your greatest pride? You canât even put into words how much his words hurt you. How betrayed you feel.
Therefore, it was predictable that the conversation would not end with understanding, as Suna had expected, but would become increasingly heated. Your voice got louder and louder, as did Sunaâs. Objects flew across the room, tears rolled down your face. Kita had already suspected that it was a bad idea to pick Suna of all people for the conversation. Using your boyfriend, of all people, to tell you to leave the band. After all, itâs not just the band that connects you two. What a bad idea⊠He and Osamu want to intervene, wanting to stop you getting even more heated, but Sunaâs next words silence you in one blow.
"Shit, donât you get it? Nobody wants to hear your shitty voice! Nobody wants to hear your boring run-of-the-mill lyrics! Your songs suck and the fans tell us all the time, but you just want to live on in your delusional world full of flowers! Open your goddamn eyes!"
Everything is quiet... no one is talking. Everyone just looks at Suna with wide eyes. Even Yuki, who has been watching your argument rather indifferently, gives him a puzzled look. Your lyrics are boring... your voice is bad... one, two... no, it feels like a thousand stabs straight into your heart. Suna notices how your eyes water again, realizes that his words have come out in a rage. Words he never really wanted to say, never meant to say. âBabe, I-â but he doesnât even manage to get another word out as you interrupt him immediately.
âShut the hell up...â you say, looking at the others, asking them if they approve... if they are also in favor of you leaving. None of them have enough courage to look directly at you. Kita is the only one who shakes his head, standing rooted to the spot and seems speechless. Again you look at Suna. âThat was our band! Our baby! And now you want to kick me out? Because fame is more important to you than the people in the band?â you scream and point your finger at him, pressing it to his chest while you look at him with nothing but lack of understanding. Suna just stares at you, unsettled.
âFine. Fine... Iâm gonna go. Iâll go and Iâll gladly leave you damn fake people behind. I canât believe it. Hope you guys get really famous and choke on it. Especially you Suna Rintarou! Disgusting! And we⊠you and me, weâre done for good. Donât even think about contacting me. Weâre done.â You spit furiously before grabbing your bag and leaving without so much as a glance at the others.
But Sunaâs hand reaches for your wrist. He stops you and turns you back to him. As if he couldnât understand your outburst of anger. Yet you immediately pull your hand away from him again. âIâm sorry, okay? I didnât mean it like that. I just want whatâs best for the band. For all of us.â Suna says, his voice barely louder than a whisper, and for a moment you really think he regrets his words. That he realized what an asshole he had just been. But the hope disappears immediately with his next words.
âPlease, just think about what I said again when youâre unemotional. We can talk again later, okay? When youâve calmed down a bit and can think clearly again.â He looks at you seriously, a slight smile on his lips. You fight not to slap him right in the face. You are speechless. Who is this man in front of you? Definitely not the Suna you met back in your school days.
âYou want me to cool down? After what you said to me? No. We... we are so done! Done! I donât want to see your face anymore. I donât want to hear your voice anymore. I donât want you to text me or try to contact me in any other way. Done means done. This is a breakup. And this is final, Suna Rintarou!â Without even giving him a chance to react to your words, you look at the other members one last time, giving them a look that says âIâm also done with youâ, before you turn around and slam the door shut with a loud bang.
"I can't believe it. Was that really necessary, Rintarou?" Kita mumbles before he also dashes out, checking if you're still there but you're already gone.
Summary: Suna and you have known each other since your school days, dreaming about the silly idea of a band since then. But this silly thought later becomes a successful reality. Yet not everything that shines is perfect. The string between you breaks and you grow apart. Will Suna manage to make up for his mistakes? Or is the string between you beyond repair?

Hi ^O^ I like your angst hcs, can you do suna rockstar sm-au with reader as singer? So maybe they started as school band or as a dream of a band? Smt where mc gets kicked out of the band because the agency wants it because fans give mean comments about mc? And they have to chose reader or the fans and suna has the final saying and maybe says mean things to reader like nobody likes your voice anyway? Is that possible? Tyty <33
Hi! Actually I like that. đ„č I'll do a small smau then. A angsty one! đ
Pairing: Suna x reader, Semi x reader, best friend Atsumu x reader
Summary: Suna and you have known each other since your school days, dreaming about the silly idea of a band since then. But this silly thought later becomes a successful reality. Yet not everything that shines is perfect. The string between you breaks and you grow apart. Will Suna manage to make up for his mistakes? Or is the string between you beyond repair?
The story of you and Suna is actually like something out of a romantic webtoon. You met at school when Suna moved to HyĆgo. First you just exchanged glances, then you happened to be doing the same group work. And by pure coincidence, you were both always in the library at the same time to study. Really like a typical slice-of-life webtoon.
Your time in the library often ended with the two of you just sitting with open books in front of you, yet talking about so many other things. For example, that you really want to be a singer, that Suna wants to support you and back you up with your vocals and play the guitar at the same time. The two of you would write the lyrics together. At least he would help you with that. You even talk about who you want to add to your band. Osamu as bassist, Kita on the rhythm guitar, Atsumu as a drummer.
Actually, it all started as a little joke, but your dreamy idea of a band soon became reality and after graduation you all decided to form the band âCrimson Veilâ. With you and Suna as the main founders, of course. Kita was the first to agree to join you. The two Miya brothers joined a few weeks later. Yuki, a girl you met at a gig in a bar, came in a year later to support you on the keyboard.
At first you only had smaller gigs. A bit of a gig in a bar here, a show at a rocker wedding there. Once you had a gig as the support act for a big band. Thatâs when your journey as a successful band really began. People loved you. Everyone wanted to know who is behind Crimson Veil and when your next gigs will take place. At some point, your requests had increased so much that you decided together to contact an agency for bands to support you and manage requests with you. Your career was perfect, and thatâs not the only thing.
Two years after your graduation, an after-show party with your fans led to something more than just a relaxed get-together between you and Suna. Youâd both had a little too much to drink and wanted to go to your rooms, but the moment the elevator closed to take you to the hotel rooms on the top floor, you felt Sunaâs hands on your hips, how he pressed you against the cold elevator wall and how his body pressed against yours. How you couldnât even get a word out before his lips were on yours.
The kiss was wild, passionate and you donât remember how you got from the elevator to Sunaâs room. But you remember how he pulled your clothes off your body step by step, how you both ended up completely bare on his bed and how Suna kissed your whole body, gave you probably one of the best orgasms you ever had up to that point and how hungry he looked at you while your legs lay on his shoulders. How he moaned your name and your body squirmed with need under him. The way he wailed out the words âFuck, I love youâ as if it was the most natural thing ever and how you both woke up the next morning, sober and naked next to each other.
But it wasnât a mistake. Quite the opposite. Suna hugged you, kissed your neck and said sleepily, âWell, I thought it was just a wet dream. But luckily, the marks tell me otherwise, and so do you.â Since then, you two have had a relationship. At first it was secret, then very quickly public. And the two of you were really in love. Suna had always looked at you with so much love and affection. Fans were great, but you were always his number one next to the band. Everything was absolutely perfect. The love, the band, the fame. It was too perfect⊠But with fame comes greed... greed that can ruin a lot of things.
may i request something with atsumu, kageyama and ushijima where the reader is like 6 ft tall (thatâs my height and iâm quite insecure about it) and them accidentally say something hurtful about her height but sheâs already insecure about it and saying that only makes things worse for her insecurities but then they apologize and itâs all fluffy in the end?
love your work by the way, thanks if you will do itđđ
Hi cutie! First of all thank you for your kind words. đ„č I'm so sorry that you feel insecure about your size. But honestly, I just find tall people soooo incredibly beautiful. Those beautiful long legs!!! Aah but I can imagine that you're sometimes also insecure with people saying bulls*it like "no man wants a tall girlfriend". Grrrr some people are just mean.
I'm only a little 5'3 minion, so I really had trouble empathizing with the problems of a tall person. That's why I made your request as a small smau. I hope that's okay and that you can still enjoy it a bit. đ
Apologizing after saying something mean about you being tall
He would rather sulk in the corner and give you the silent treatment than give in.Â
He holds onto his grudge for a long time and would never apologize on his own initiative.Â
In the end, youâre always the one who gives in and approaches him. But whatâs the saying again? The wiser gives inâŠ
MIYA ATSUMU
Atsumu often lies. Whether he does it willingly or subconsciously, he probably doesnât even know.Â
He forgot to hang the laundry outside? He couldnât do it because it was raining so hard. Obviously a lie.Â
If you confront him with his lies, he quickly slips into the victim's role and acts as if he is the poor victim and is always misunderstood by others.Â
SUNA RINTAROU
Suna is good at manipulation. Especially when it comes to getting around things he doesnât like.Â
Whether itâs cleaning the apartment or meeting your friend that he doesnât like, Suna always finds a way to wrap up his words so that you end up doing the housework or doing something alone with your, for him annoying, friend.Â
Sometimes he wraps things up so well that he almost lets you fall into a guilt trap and makes you feel bad for a second.
KITA SHINSUKE
Kita is a bit of a perfectionist and absolutist.Â
Youâre organizing a housewarming party at your home and invite your friends? Of course, but not before Kita has checked twenty times whether everything is really clean, whether the food is prepared properly and whether there are enough slippers for everyone.Â
Is one rose in your bouquet already hanging its head and wilted? If so, he removes it from the vase first so that everything is perfect.Â
Discussions are sometimes very difficult. Depending on what the two of you are discussing, he closes himself off at a certain point and no longer allows other arguments or opinions.Â
KUROO TETSUROU
Heâs an absolute workaholic.
Kuroo enjoys his work. It also involves a lot of responsibility. Thatâs why he often works overtime.Â
Youâre on vacation and just want to relax on the beach together? But not without Kurooâs business phone.Â
Would he cancel his vacation if things were stressful at work and his team couldnât manage without him? Yes.Â
USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI
Ushijima is not empathetic at all.
You feel bad because your colleague is mean to you and you want to vent to Ushijima? Just want to be hugged? No. âTalk to your bossâ is the answer you get with a nod, immediately followed by the question of whether youâve already finished the grocery list. Â
Ushijima is also not flexible. You want to go to the cinema spontaneously? Then youâd better book it a week in advance so that you can fit it into your weekly schedule. Because Ushijima is a routine guy. Get up in the morning, get ready, go jogging, have breakfast, take a shower, say goodbye to you, go to training, come home, have lunch, go to his agency or attend appointments made by his agency, come home in the evening, greet you, have dinner and then spend time with you before getting ready for bed.Â
SEMI EITA
Semi is a natural flirt, even if he does it subconsciously.Â
Through his band, he often has gigs and when his fans talk to him, he quickly slips into light flirting.Â
Nice compliments like âOh you are really very prettyâ, âWith such pretty fans I have to be careful that I donât start stuttering on stageâ are a standard or light touches like touching the shoulders of his fans, patting them on the head and so on.Â
However, he would never hook up with a fan ever. He would always remain loyal to you.Â
SHIRABU KENJIROU
Shirabu is really stingy.Â
You want to go out for dinner with him? Then only if you split the bill and each pay for what you have eaten and drunk. Tipping? No, he wouldnât tip the waiter but always gives the money correctly.
Shirabu also tends to come across as arrogant and overbearing in some situations.Â
Probably one reason why your friends didnât like him at first.Â
Kiyoomi Sakusa
Sakusa is incredibly bad at replying. If you write him a message, he either replies days later or not at all. Not because he doesnât want to answer you, but because he simply forgets and youâre usually together in the evenings anyway, unless heâs abroad.Â
But if you donât get back to him after three hours, he gets restless and sometimes even angry because heâs worried.Â
Besides, Sakusa is someone who likes to use silent-treatment when youâve had a fight. You had an argument about a party you were at with friends? Be prepared for Sakusa to ignore you until you apologize to him, even though you havenât done anything wrong.Â
OIKAWA TOORU
Like Semi, Oikawa is also a natural flirt. He really enjoys it when girls crowd around him and give him compliments and gifts.Â
Does he compliment them? Definitely. He loves the way the girls blush, giggle and look up at him in embarrassment. Would he try to get into their pants? Absolutely not. He also remains loyal.Â
But Oikawa is an absolute attention slut. He loves to be the center of everything. When heâs not, he gets whiny and does everything he can to get back in the spotlight.Â
IWAIZUMI HAJIME
Iwaizumiâs heart rate quickly rises as he sometimes has anger issues.Â
Would he get violent with you? No, absolutely not.Â
But sometimes he raises his voice from one moment to the next and you shrink back so fearfully that you are afraid his hand will slip out.Â
However, Iwaizumi usually notices this immediately and apologizes straight away, then lowers his voice again very quickly and gives you a gentle hug.Â
BOKUTO KOUTAROU
Bokuto is always too quick to take everything to heart. Even normal things like, âKoutarou, Iâm not in the mood to go out to dinner with you today. I have a headache.â He often takes this to imply that you donât want to spend time with him and donât love him as much as you used to.Â
Sometimes itâs really exhausting to keep up his good mood.Â
Bokuto is also lazy when it comes to housework. Is the toilet paper is empty? Never mind, the roll wonât be refilled. If he then sits down on the toilet again and realizes that the roll is still empty, he would rather take a towel, dab himself dry and throw the towel in the laundry basket than refill the toilet roll.Â
AKAASHI KEIJI
Akaashi tries to avoid conflicts as much as possible.Â
If you have an argument with friends, then you can assume that Akaashi is not joining you to find a solution to your disagreements, but has probably just remembered that it is important to dust the houseplants right now, at this very moment. Leaf by leaf.Â
An argument between you two? It doesnât actually happen very often, as Akaashi would rather give in directly than let a discussion arise.Â
SAWAMURA DAICHI
Oh, heâs a little people pleaser.Â
He often seems strict, and everyone actually has respect for him. But Sawamura often canât say no.Â
You wanted to spend an evening together, just the two of you again after a long time? Yes... well, no, thatâs not happening. Azumane asked if he could spend the night with you because he had a quarrel with his girlfriend.Â
Sugawara asks if Sawamura can come to school and give a lecture about crime, since he has some trouble students, even though you actually have a day off today, just like Sawamura? Well, now youâre probably the only one who still has a day off and is waiting outside the elementary school for Sawamura to come out again.Â
SUGAWARA KOUSHI
Sugawara doesnât admit it, but he is very jealous. Sometimes even of his friends if they get a little too close to you.Â
He often questions whether he is really good enough for you and always talks himself down instead of just talking to you.Â
Sugawara is also often stuck in the past. He thinks about all the good times from the past and often forgets to live in the present or think about the future.Â
AZUMANE ASAHI
Azumane is often negative and has fears and worries about the future.
Even if a moment is beautiful, such as a friendâs wedding, Azumane is sad. His only question is whether you will reach this point at some point or whether the future has other plans for you.Â
In general, you can listen to his worries about the future at least once a month. Most of the time, however, his worries are completely unjustified.Â
KAGEYAMA TOBIOÂ
Kageyama is selfish.Â
He always thinks of himself first and then of others. Not that itâs bad to think, but with Kageyama itâs sometimes very extreme.Â
For example, he makes sure he always has enough protein and enough to eat, so anything left over you can have. He never thinks badly of it, but he needs a well-trained body for his job.Â
HINATA SHOUYOU
Hinata is always very competitive. Sometimes a little too much.Â
Which of you is first at the front door? Mostly Hinata, and heâs usually happy. And thatâs really not a bad thing.Â
But once, after a very intimate moment of affection, he was lying next to you, both of you out of breath, and instead of saying something like âI love youâ, he just said âha, if you were pregnant, that would be another victory for me and a defeat for Kageyama, because weâd be the first to become parentsâ. You wish you could have kicked him off the bed.Â
TSUKISHIMA KEI
Tsukishima is often pessimistic. He always sees the negative first before reality convinces him otherwise. Because often things arenât as bad as he always claims at first.Â
Besides, Tsukishima is a tease! He loves to bother you. For him, itâs all playful and never really serious.Â
Itâs probably his way of showing you that he loves you, but he often crosses the line and doesnât realize that heâs hurting you sometimes.Â
YAMAGUCHI TADASHI
Yamaguchi always talks himself down. He can never understand why other people like him for his character.Â
Thatâs why you often have to talk to Yamaguchi when you come back from events.Â
The couple next to you at the table in the restaurant had a much more expensive meal, much more expensive drinks, and Yamaguchi could only invite you to a simple menu. Again, he talks himself down, that he doesnât deserve you, that you would have a better life with another man by your side. Only when you talk to him for several minutes, kissing and smiling at him, does he regain some self-confidence.Â
wow ok read the recent request and I gotta say that was pretty heavy. Can we have a similar request but with a light angst with the remaining characters ??? I like the previous request
Hi, of course! :)) I've had really little time lately but I hope you like it anyway. I would say that all three contain rather mild angst compared to the previous ones. So I hope you enjoy it more. đ
Regretting their actions
Pairing: Kuroo x, Ushijima x, Sakusa x reader
Warning: angst to fluff
Part 1 | Part 2 (End)
Kuroo finally made it. He has a job he enjoys. A job that also pays well financially and provides stability.
However, this job also involves some overtime and company trips.
In the beginning, he tried to keep to the working hours as much as possible. After all, he didnât want to neglect you. However, the overtime increased year by year.
You often tried to gently point out to him that he shouldnât overwork himself, but most of the time, your remarks were met with anger and ended in an argument.
At some point, you stopped and tried to suppress his increasingly frequent absences. Even if it hurt you.
Sometimes you lie in bed, looking at the empty space next to you, before the screen of your phone lights up and the usual message from Kuroo appears. âSorry, kitten, but I canât make it home today. But Iâll be there tomorrow at the end of the day.â
A message that raises so many doubts in you. What if heâs not at work at all and is seeing another woman? Youâve hardly had any time together in the last few months. Just a good morning kiss before work... that was all.
Does he no longer loves you? Does he possibly have a girlfriend and is leading a double life? No, Kuroo wouldnât do that.
Youâve already reminded Kuroo three times this week that itâs your nieceâs birthday today and that sheâs looking forward to finally seeing him again. Because your niece loves Kuroo. Your boyfriend kept telling you before work that he had the date in his calendar and that he would definitely be home in time for the two of you to go to your nieceâs together. You believed him. After all, the date was important to you. But you soon realize that this was just another lie. An empty promise.
Because when you look at your watch, itâs ten minutes before departure... and Kuroo still hasnât arrived. He didnât even reply to your âIâm looking forward to this afternoon.â You wait another four minutes, but nothing happens. In the end, you take the train to your nieceâs house. Alone, without Kuroo. Because he doesnât answer your messages or your calls.
Your little niece is so sad when she opens the door and looks up at you, realizing that you have come alone. Itâs not that she doesnât like you, but her dear uncle Kuroo always does so much nonsense with her. What did she once said? The aunts and grannies are there to go shopping and with the uncles and grandpas you have fun. Not exactly nice, but whatever.Â
She looks at you with sad eyes. âIsnât uncle Kuroo coming? Doesnât uncle Kuroo like me anymore?â she asks tearfully as you try to calm her down somehow. It takes a long time for her to stop crying, and that on her birthday. And as if that wasnât enough, you also get asked by your brother and your parents if everything is all right with you and your boyfriend. Whether you are still together at all. Because even at the last events, you were always there alone. When they passed by your home, only you were ever present.Â
âNo, no, everythingâs fine. Tetsuâs just really busy today,â you reply with a forced smile, even though you donât know where you stand as a couple right now. Can you even call what the two of you have a relationship?
As you head home in the evening, the apartment is still empty, just as expected. You sigh as you put your bag down and go into the bathroom to get ready for bed. The apartment seems so bitter as you lie down under the cold sheets, but you donât care. You donât even look at your phone anymore, because you know that Kuroo hasnât texted you anyway. Nor do you mind that the bed is empty. Because that has also become a habit by now. Just then, you realize that tears are suddenly running down your cheeks. Yet you donât even bother to wipe them away because no one will see them anyway.
Kuroo curses as he looks at his watch. His day had been stressful. So stressful that he didnât even have time to look at his phone or check the time. Only when it got darker outside did he realize that he had once again worked too long.Â
âShit,â he curses again as he stands in front of the entrance door. Should he go back to get flowers for you? After all, he promised you he wouldnât work so late. No, never mind. Staying away any longer will only upset you more.
âHey kitten, Iâm sorry I was gone so long again. I know I said that-â but when Kuroo enters the living room, the light is off. Youâre not in the kitchen either. Have you gone to bed already? He walks quietly towards the bedroom, but his hand stops on the door handle when he hears you sniffle.
âHey, baby, whatâs wrong?â he asks, immediately moving past the bed to your side to kneel in front of it. Only now do you realize that Kuroo has returned home. You look at him almost empty-eyed. âNothing...â you reply and want to turn away from him, but his hand holds onto your shoulder.
âDonât say nothing when youâre obviously crying. Is it because Iâm here so late again? Iâm really sorry... Iâve completely lost track of time. Iâm trying-â
âI suppose youâve forgotten my nieceâs birthday? She cried bitterly today... and not only that. I was asked today if weâre still together because youâve never been to celebrations lately. And honestly? I donât even know myself...â You say in frustration and watch Kurooâs eyes suddenly widen.
Today was your nieceâs birthday... You had told him several times during the week and yet he had forgotten. Kuroo doesnât even know how to answer you. There is no answer that can please you. Because Kuroo has completely fucked up. He opens his mouth to say something, then closes it again.Â
âMaybe we should really break-â
âNo, no donât say that. I know I fucked up. I know I promised you Iâd work less overtime and be there for you more often. I know I didnât stick to any of that. But please. I can change.â His answer interrupts yours, his voice soft and yet so panicked as he looks at you pleadingly. But you canât help but laugh in frustration. âIâve already asked my brother... I can stay with him for a while.â
You see the fear in his face as he tries to struggle for words. His shoulders begin to shake before he opens his mouth. Kuroo has no arguments to defend himself. In the end, he just failed. Made you sad. Neglected you. It had to get that far before he finally understood that. But when he looks at your sad face, he knows that he has no right to stop you.
âYeah... if thatâs what you want... I donât want to stop you... make you any more miserable.â He replies dejectedly before squeezing your shoulder a little tighter to stand up to leave you alone in the bedroom. To give you the tranquility that you would prefer over his presence. But his legs wonât let him go any further as he stops in front of the door, just a step away from the hallway.Â
Instead of leaving the room, he turns in your direction, switches on the big light and goes back to your bedside. âNo, I canât do that. I know I donât have the right, but I just canât let you go. I have neglected you. I have neglected us. And although you reminded me several times, I forgot your nieceâs birthday. I donât even want to imagine how sad she was that I wasnât there, or how sad you must have been that I couldnât keep my promise again. I am sorry that I have once again failed as a boyfriend. I know I probably look like the biggest asshole and my words sound like lies to you. But please... I love you and I mean it when I say Iâm sorry. I enjoy my job, even if it is stressful. But Iâve probably lost sight of the most important thing, and thatâs you. Please... please, if thereâs still a little bit of hope, tell me how to make it right.â Kuroo says, looking you in the eye with determination, even though he is struggling to keep his composure.
You sit up in bed and look down at him, still kneeling in front of you. You love him, but whatâs the point if he canât keep his promises anyway? Still, when he looks at you like that⊠with these sad eyes⊠as if heâs about to break apartâŠÂ âIâm staying with my brother for a week from tomorrow... I need a clear head. So use this week to think about how you can set things right. And maybe... maybe there will still be a future for us.â You answer him more coldly than you actually wanted to and look over at the empty side of the bed. âAnd now go to bed... thereâs no point sleeping on the sofa in the living room. Itâll only make your back ache.â you add, before crawling back under the covers and closing your eyes. Not waiting to see if Kuroo actually lies down next to you or not.
The week you spend with your brother is like a wake-up call for Kuroo. A reminder that he needs to change something.
He writes to you every day before he leaves for work. A simple âGood morning, I hope you have a good start to the dayâ and in the evening he always writes to you when heâs on his way home.
Nevertheless, overall he leaves you in peace. Just like you wanted.
After the week you spent with your brother, you now stand in front of the entrance to your own home and take a deep breath. Wondering if Kuroo is home yet.
He should actually be at home. After all, his working hours are over. Did he keep his promise? You open the door and step inside. The apartment looks exactly the same as it did when you left it a week ago. Tidy, clean. Almost as if no one lived here. And as you might expect, Kurooâs shoes are also missing. So nothing has changed after all. Standing in the hallway, you laugh in frustration and shake your head as you suddenly hear a key in the door lock and Kuroo enters.
A little surprised to see you, his eyes widen. âH-Hey...â he says almost shyly as he stands in front of you. Kuroo has a bouquet of flowers in his hand and a bag of groceries in the other. âI thought... maybe we could cook together and then... talk afterwards. Thatâs why I went grocery shopping after work, but I guess most people do it after work. It was really crowded...â he clicks his tongue and tilts his head to the side with a somewhat strained smile.
So he did finish work on time? âAnd the flowers? Are they there for cooking too?â you ask, unconsciously breaking the tense atmosphere between you. Kuroo just rolls his eyes and you see the tips of his ears turn red as he hands you the bouquet. âOf course not. Theyâre for you... for the best woman in the world.â His last words are quiet, but you hear them well.
Kuroo and you cook together, even if itâs a bit strange at first.
You both donât quite know what to say or how to behave.
But while you wait for your food to be ready, Kuroo speaks up, pushes a chair back and asks you to take a seat at the dining table before sitting opposite you and taking your hands in his.
He tells you that he has only worked one hour of overtime this week. That he has applied for an assistant so that he can hand over some of his work and therefore work less overtime.
He tells you about all this in such an excited tone, as if youâve just had your first date and heâs asking you out. Kuroo seems to be making a real effort...
âYou know, there are even therapists who deal with people who work too much and-â says Kuroo, but you interrupt him directly. âTetsurou... Iâm not asking you to go to a therapist. If what youâve said is true, then... thatâs a good start.â His posture relaxes abruptly at your statement before he grips your hands tighter again and rests his head on them, sighing with relief. He had fully expected you to draw a line today after all the lonely nights he had given you. After all the empty promises. And here you both are, sitting together, and he canât believe how good-natured you are. âThat means... youâll give me another chance?â he asks, but doesnât lift his head from your hands.
âOne last one... so donât mess it up Tetsurou.â you reply much more gently this time.
Youâve been together with Ushijima for a long time. You know his personality, that he tends to be quiet, sometimes blunt, and doesnât talk much. Nevertheless, his lack of words sometimes makes you uneasy.Â
Something that Ushijima often canât understand, because after all, thatâs how you met. It usually ends with you just nodding off at some point and saying that you must have been imagining things and you just pretend that nothing happened.
But lately heâs been so quiet again. Even more distant than before.
Whenever he comes home from training, he goes straight to the kitchen to make himself a protein shake. Then straight to the bathroom to put his sports clothes in the washing machine and then gets ready for bed. Somewhere in between, he greets you with an almost indifferent âhelloâ.
You know that Ushijima is a little different, that his communication sometimes falls short. But his current behavior is unsettling even for you.
Has he perhaps met someone new? Does he no longer love you?
No... you donât want to have thoughts like that. And yet you have them, and yet they donât stop you from asking Ushijima this one question when heâs about to go to bed.Â
âBe honest Toshi... do you have another person you see next to me? Well... I donât mean friends, but... a potential love interest?â The question slips out a little more reproachfully than you would have liked.
Ushijima looks at you with wide eyes as he puts on a T-shirt to go to bed. He canât believe you actually asked him that. He has enough stress at the moment with the upcoming championship games. Now youâre just throwing in your insecurity. He doesnât need that right now. âDo you really think I have the time or energy to deal with another relationship? This one is stressful enough at times,â he says almost coldly.Â
Wow... you think. It feels like heâs hitting a volleyball right against your chest. It hurts. âSo you see me as a burden?â you try to say in a calm voice, but itâs already shaking. Ushijima just shakes his head in annoyance before climbing into bed next to you.Â
âWhen you ask questions like that, yes. Where do you come up with such nonsense? Do you have so little self-esteem?â says Ushijima before switching off the light on the bedside cabinet and turning towards you. âLetâs go to sleep now. I have to get up in the morning. And stop thinking such nonsense.â He says, as if he hadnât hurt your feelings with his words earlier, before leaning in to kiss you goodnight, but you just turn around and avoid him. âGood night...â you mumble coolly, but Ushijima doesnât think much of it.
Only after several days does he realize that something is different. You hardly talk to him, not at all, in fact. You no longer cook for him either. Maybe not in general? Youâre often out until late in the evening and only come to bed when Ushijima is already asleep. But when he asks you whatâs wrong, you just answer with a strange smile and say ânothingâ. Ushijima doesnât understand a thing.
Itâs only when heâs on the phone with Tendou and the two of them are talking about all sorts of things, about how Ushijima is very stressed right now from training and the upcoming championships, that he mentions in passing that youâre behaving strangely. Tendou has known Ushijima for a long time. So he can guess that Ushijima has once again misunderstood something or said things that came across wrongly. When Ushijima tells him about the conversation with you a few days ago, Tendou sighs loudly into the phone. âWakatoshi, thatâs the stupidest thing you could have said to her. Does your better half know that youâre under a lot of stress at the moment?â
âOf course not. After all, itâs not something she can change. So she doesnât have to worry about it.â As soon as Ushijima has spoken his sentence, he hears the sigh on the other side of the line again. âWakatoshi, thatâs not how a relationship works. How long have you been together now? Almost six years... Sheâs just worried about you. And if she then asks you whether there might be another woman in your life, âDonât ask such stupid questions, why do you have so little self-esteemâ is not exactly the best answer.â Tendou imitates Ushijima.
He is surprised that he still has a girlfriend at all with this manner. Maybe he needs to fly to Japan more often after all⊠To give Ushijima a good slap on the back of the blunt manâs head.
âI just wanted to tell her that sheâs a great woman and I canât understand how she can have such thoughts when sheâs perfect,â Ushijima replies as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Yet Tendou has to spend half an hour talking to Ushijima about how wrong his behavior was before he finally realizes it himself. So he decides to go home after training and wait for you, no matter how long it takes.Â
Sighing, you stand in front of the front door. On the one hand, you hope that Ushijima is already asleep, but on the other, you donât want to continue with the silent treatment. You shake your head and open the door, only to see Ushijima sitting in the living room, his hands clasped together as he rests his arms on his thighs.
âWakatoshi?â You ask, a little irritated, as you notice him staring into space. You canât interpret his gaze. âCan you please sit down? We need to talk.â He says in a firm voice that makes your heart beat uncomfortably faster. You know you havenât done anything wrong, and yet it feels like you have. Nevertheless, you nod, sit down next to him and look in his direction. He mirrors your movement. Only he doesnât look at you with concern, but neutrally as always.
âI...â he begins, but then his voice drops. He doesnât quite know how to start. After all, thatâs never been his strength. âWhat is it, Wakatoshi?â you ask almost impatiently. After all, if he wants to end the relationship, he should keep it short. That will hurt, but maybe itâs better that way.
âI have hurt you. Seemingly very deeply. Iâm sorry about that. Itâs not that I donât love you. I do and I thought you knew that too. Maybe I didnât express myself properly, no actually, I didnât express myself properly. But I canât understand why you think that I might have another woman for whom I have feelings. You are a wonderful woman. Strong, independent, intelligent and attractive. For me, you are just right the way you are. I wouldnât want anyone else by my side. I thought you would see yourself the way I see you.â Ushijima looks deep into your eyes with every word, his complete focus on you, before glancing briefly to the side. As if heâs thinking about what else he wants to say. Then he turns back to you and puts his hand on your thigh.
âWeâre really under a lot of stress at the moment with our training. But thatâs not something I want to burden you with in any way. After all, thereâs nothing you can do to change the situation. And you shouldnât have to worry about your husband. So⊠If I hurt you with my words, Iâm sorry.â His words are sincere and the uneasy feeling you felt in your chest is suddenly gone. You should have known that Ushijima doesnât love another woman. After all, itâs Ushijima.Â
âLetâs go out for dinner together at the weekend. Just the two of us. Letâs talk, spend time together. There hasnât been enough of that lately.â Ushijima says, turning you more towards him by your thigh before wrapping his hands around your waist and placing you on his lap with ease.
âWakatoshi!â you shriek briefly. His head is on your shoulder, his breath warm on your skin. âIâm really sorry that my words hurt you,â he whispers softly, starting to rub your back with his thumb as he holds you close to his chest. You are no longer angry with him. Has been no longer. Actually, you are glad that he told you how he felt.
âGoing out for dinner sounds good,â you say softly and put your arms around him. As you answer, you feel him squeeze you a little tighter. As if he wants to tell you how grateful he is that you show understanding for him.
Actually, everything is going well between you and Sakusa. You both harmonize well, have similar interests and friends. The only thing that is a little difficult is the fact that you have to keep your relationship a secret.
At least Sakusa wants to keep the relationship private because he doesnât want paparazzi following you around or some crazy fans sending you threatening letters or maybe even hurting you.
Sakusa is very cautious when it comes to you.
So apart from your closest friends, your family and his agency, nobody knows about your relationship.
However, it is becoming more difficult from year to year. Because there are already pictures that have been made public. Pictures in which you are seen with Sakusa. Sitting together in a coffee shop or going for a walk in the park. Youâve even been photographed while buying groceries.
There are also more and more rumors about you. âWho is the unknown woman who is always in the front row at every game?â, âIs this young lady the girlfriend of athlete Kiyoomi Sakusa?â
Today Sakusa forgot his sports shoes. Since you work in the same building as the agency that has him under contract, you decide to simply take the shoes with you. After all, Sakusa told you today that he has an appointment at his agency before he goes to training.
With a slight nod, you greet the security people at the entrance to the third floor where the agency for athletes is located. Youâve already been here a few times, so itâs easy for you to find the right way. You stop in front of Sakusaâs managerâs office. In front of the office, you see that the door is slightly open and that people are talking. Sakusa was one of them. You briefly consider knocking and going in, but when you hear the next words, you stand still, petrified.
âSakusa-san, are you sure you want to bring your relationship with Ms. Abe into the public eye? Ms. Abe is a popular tennis player. It would draw a lot of attention to both of you,â says Sakusaâs manager. Soon after, the sound of a woman giggling rings out, followed immediately by Sakusaâs voice.
âThatâs fine... I think itâs for the best. But before we go through with this -â you donât hear the last words, because youâve already set the bag with the shoes down outside the office and rushed back to your own workplace.Â
You canât concentrate all day long. You keep thinking about that conversation you had heard earlier. About Sakusa... wanting to make a relationship public? Only now do you realize what that actually means. Does this mean that Sakusa has been cheating on you the whole time and you were nothing but a pleasant distraction for him?
Frustrated, you stomp home after work, thinking about all the things you want to say. Everything you want to throw at Sakusa. When you arrive home, the apartment is still empty. Nothing unusual, because Sakusa wanted to go to his training after the meeting. So heâll probably be gone for several more hours. Or did he just use that as an excuse to meet up with his new girlfriend?
You laugh bitterly, rolling your eyes at the thought of Sakusaâs name appearing in the magazines next to the name of that tennis player .... âRidiculous...â you snort, and walk into the living room, where, ironically, the picture of Sakusa and you immediately comes into view. A photo of the two of you on vacation. You were in Norway. A country where Sakusa isnât really well known. Thatâs why you could enjoy your vacation without paparazzi. In the photo you are in a small restaurant, outside on the terrace, both smiling intimately into the camera. Was it all just an act?
Furious, you grab the photo and throw it on the floor. The glass breaks and all the shards lie on the ground. âDamn...â you curse, annoyed at yourself for your outburst as you kneel down to pick up the pieces. But a familiar voice makes you flinch.Â
âMy love, is everything all right?â you hear Sakusa, who must have come home a few seconds ago, dropping his bag in the hallway and looking in your direction with wide eyes. He left training on time today because he thought it was strange that his sports bag was in front of his managerâs door, but you werenât there.
But now the time has come. The pain in your chest suddenly gets impossible to bear, your mouth quivers and your eyes are all warm as big tears run down your cheeks. A sight that really knocks Sakusa off his feet. Immediately he rushes in your direction, kneels down next to you and takes your hands in his to see if you have cut yourself. But your body seems to be unharmed.
âW-whatâs wrong?â he asks again, concerned, before you pull your hands out of his grip and stare at him angrily. âWhen... when were you going to tell me you had another girl? And what are you doing here anyway? Shouldnât you be at training or with your new lover?â you say angrily, but donât raise your voice.
Sakusa tries to follow your words, even if he canât understand them at first. But then he realizes⊠The bag in the hallway, your tears... you must have heard part of the conversation he had this afternoon. But you probably havenât heard everything. The man with the raven-black curls closes his eyes before taking a deep breath and looking at you again, trying to reach for your hands.
âYouâve completely misunderstood something-â he is about to start, but you interrupt him directly. âDonât say âitâs not what it looks likeâ. You can spare that phrase, Kiyoomi!â you say a little louder now, but Sakusa doesnât back down and continues to try to talk to you calmly.
âPlease Y/n... I want you to listen to me for a minute... just a minute... After that you can still be mad at me. Is that possible?â Sakusa grabs your hands this time, pulls you up with him and leads you to the sofa. âSit down, please.â Youâre actually reluctant, but youâve been together for so long now... you can give him that one minute, canât you? You grudgingly sit down, but donât look at him.
âLately, paparazzi are getting bolder and bolder... even the other day there were some in the supermarket who wanted to take pictures of us... Iâm just worried that your face will eventually be in all the newspapers and platforms and youâll no longer be able to live your life carefree, but will always have these people at your back, following you,â says Sakusa somewhat awkwardly. Almost as if he himself is unsure whether what he wants to tell you is plausible for you. But before he can continue, you interrupt him directly and give him an angry look.
âOh, and thatâs why you thought youâd find a new girlfriend whoâs already a celebrity and just date her? Then you can go out without hiding? Is that it?â youâre struggling to keep your voice under control. Sakusaâs eyes widen and he shrinks back for a moment, his hands almost in a protective position in front of his chest as he shakes his head.
âWait, no, itâs not like that. I donât have another relationship. Well, okay wait. I thought it might be good if I publicly revealed a fake relationship with another celebrity. Of course, itâs not real and weâre not really a couple. But I thought it would take the pressure off you and you could-â
You canât believe what Sakusa is saying right now. Is he really serious? If itâs true, why is he talking to his manager first and not to you? Doesnât he care about your feelings? âDo you actually... donât think at all? How do you think I would feel when I read the messages and your name is everywhere with the name of your fake girlfriend? Have you ever thought about the fact that this is extremely hurtful to me? I would rather be seen in public with you than see you with someone else âfor my supposed freedom and privacyâ. How would you feel if I introduced another man to the whole world as my boyfriend just to âprotectâ you?â The words you say so loudly hit Sakusa, and he gets quiet. He doesnât even know what to say anymore. Your question slaps him hard. How would he feel⊠The thought of seeing you with another man makes him angry, sad... and somehow helpless?
âI...â Sakusa begins, but immediately doesnât know how to continue. âIâm sorry, that was probably stupid of me.â He then says, tilting his head downwards. Sighing, you stand up and shake your head once more before walking past Sakusa.Â
âYou know, you never asked me, but I wouldnât mind if people knew my face. Itâs more important to me to do things with you without having to hide. Youâre always the one who overdramatizes and worries unnecessarily... Whatever⊠Iâm going to bed now. Good night.â You no longer wait for his answer. Instead, you go straight to the bathroom and get ready for bed.
Sakusa remains seated in the living room. He knows exactly that it wouldnât be right to talk to you now, that you want to be left alone. Especially since he doesnât know what heâs supposed to tell you. He just knows that his action was really stupid.
Sakusa hadnât signed a contract with the tennis player and the two agencies yet, because he wanted to talk to you about it first, but at the moment his own idea to protect your privacy disgusts him. He really should have talked to you first about how you feel, whether you want to be in the public eye, instead of drawing any conclusions. Sakusa sighs, leans back against the sofa and closes her eyes. âIdiot...â he whispers quietly.
Two days pass and you are still disappointed by Sakusaâs behavior. Even though he probably only meant well. You havenât really spoken much either. Just the usual âGood morning, have a nice day at work...â, âHow was your day?â and all that sort of things.
Still at work, you just canât concentrate and start massaging your temples when suddenly one of your colleagues shrieks and starts giggling. âHey, isnât that Sakusa Kiyoomi? Whatâs he doing here? His agency is upstairs, isnât it?â she asks one of her colleagues, who quickly reaches for her make-up mirror and fixes her hair.Â
Now you too turn your head forward and see Sakusa walking in your direction with a bunch of white lilies. Everyone looks after him, puzzled, and you also stare at him with irritation as he stops in front of you. âUhm... I wanted to bring these over to you because I have to go upstairs to talk to my manager about a photo shoot.â
The whispering of your colleagues gets louder and louder and you still look a little confused, but you take the bouquet and stand up. âKiyoomi, what is this about?â you whisper to him, not quite knowing how to react. Sakusa grazes your arm, wanders up to your cheek and looks deep into your eyes. âYou were right. I should never have had this stupid idea. I should have asked you. And even if Iâm worried about you, I only want to see you by my side in any pictures on the internet. After all, you are the woman I love. Iâm really sorry. Will you... accept my clumsy apology?â Sakusa gazes at you with such a puppy-dog look that you canât help but put the bouquet on your table and jump into his arms.
Of course, Sakusa did not sign the contract with the tennis player.
At his next match, youâre in the front row as usual, and when Sakusa scores the final point to victory and his team cheers along with him, he immediately runs to you, pulling you over the barrier to hold you in his arms before setting you down and cupping your cheeks with his hands. Just a few seconds later, you feel his lips on yours, cameras pointing at you and taking photos. But you couldnât care less. âYou know, Iâve wanted to do this so many times before,â he says calmly, leaning his forehead against your own.
Although everyone knows your face now, Sakusa is always reserved in interviews when it comes to private questions.
He will not answer questions about you if they become too personal.
In the beginning, the paparazzi and reporters were really a nuisance, but everything calmed down over time and the two of you can go out and enjoy dates together without being followed, just like back then, before his career.
