to an extent one of the other tragedies behind Terry's death is that he was probably the only overwhelmingly good dad out of the bunch. he cared for scary no matter what and made sure she knew it, he never neglected her or abandoned her, and he never put her in danger and used his past experiences to make sure he wouldn't make any mistakes. it's even more horrific to see that he is gone now specifically after seeing the other kid's reactions with their parents today. this is not to say that the other dads were horrible or that Terry is flawless, but he never made scary bare the brunt of his own trauma.
