Late mermaid entry
You can’t see it, but just out of frame Obi-Wan Kenobi is having a conniption
Latest addition to my series of slutty glamorous clones. See Fives and Rex here
Remembered I could post here too (I don’t think I need to say it, but this is adult Tiedras of course
An edit I made for my mando oc, Laara Fett, wife of Cassus 𐔌՞. .՞𐦯
-was posted to tik tok but they muted the original sound
I am quoting myself from discord here, but put my metaphisical cuck chair in front of their shared fate of misery.
New art lol
He always hated the cold.
missing my codywany...
The punk phase ig?
Also old Codywan under the cut since me and the GC are evil evil beings.
I still think the funniest moment in the Star Wars fandom was when the Padawan book came out and confirmed Obi-Wan as bisexual. The Star Wars dude bros were so upset, they genuinely couldn’t fathom it.
“But— but- Satine!!” Yeah, bi people like women too, Josh.
“But Jedi can’t have relationships!!” Girl…
Also, they were acting like it was some sort of shock, or like it came completely out of nowhere. Obi-Wan is probably the fruitiest bitch in the galaxy. His ass was sat leg up in his council chair in his custom knee-high Prada boots while Windu was telling Anakin he couldn’t become a Master LMAO. There was so much chemistry in the combined five minutes that he was on screen with Cody that they became one of the most popular ships in this fandom. Disney confirming him as bisexual was just confirming what was already glaringly obvious. That man likes men. Star Wars dude bros are just blind asf
Inspired by a convo I’m having on Discord…
Raise your hand (or reblog or something like that) if you actually enjoyed the Kenobi show (or at least if the stuff you like about it outweighs the stuff you don’t, or even if you don’t love it but think it’s overhated)
A sketch of something I started after finished my coms finally:D
Get some sad Knight Kenobi y'all, his Pa just died.
Tfw you fall down a few too many levels on this stupid planet and encounter far too many dangers in the forgotten ancient flora and fauna, including the weirdest guy you’ve ever seen who is also stuck down there, and you just know your bros back at base are never going to believe this. (You are the Yaujta)
some of the sw requests!!
My rebranded Mandalorian OC Prix Barkot, because Tiedras gets to have an affair during their time as an Inquisitor
Going back to rewatch The Mandalore Plot is almost funny because of how much Satine contradicts herself within a 20 minute span of time.
She straight up tells Obi-Wan that there is absolutely nobody on Mandalore who is any less trustworthy than she is, which is a BOLD claim to make for someone facing a man who's holding up literal visual evidence of a dude in Mandalorian armor attacking a Republic vessel.
And it gets worse! Because not two minutes later she's telling Obi-Wan all about how there's actually this new group on Mandalore calling themselves Death Watch who aren't committed to peace and idolize violence and they're probably the people who attacked the Republic ship, but... they're also NOT A PROBLEM, they're "just hooligans." Somehow they are simultaneously not a serious threat while also likely being the people who attacked a Republic vessel and ALSO being included in the statement that they're just as trustworthy as she is. If she believes they attacked a Republic vessel, that should IMMEDIATELY take them out of the "just some hooligans" category and straight into "yeah no these guys are a serious problem" because not only are they clearly a threat to the Republic itself, making themselves a problem for the Republic makes the Republic a problem for HER since now SHE has to answer for their actions. THAT SHOULD BE SOMETHING SHE TAKES SERIOUSLY and she... doesn't.
And of course then there's also the whole thing with her opinions on the Jedi. She seems to relax a bit when Obi-Wan tells her that he's investigating Mandalore on behalf of the Jedi Council and not the Senate, but she then later accuses the Jedi of entering into the war and letting go of their morals simply because it was "politically convenient" for them to do so. The first scene seems to indicate that Satine inherently trusts that the Jedi are honest, stalwart people, but the second scene seems to indicate that Satine thinks the Jedi might have become corrupt. If she believes that the Jedi became corrupt by siding with the Republic in the war, it seems odd that she'd relax at an investigation by the Jedi in the first place when she immediately assumes any investigation by the Senate is being done for nefarious dishonest purposes.
Then there's Satine's pacifism and how she chooses to apply that at different moments. She claims in Voyage of Temptation that that "just because she's a pacifist doesn't mean she won't defend herself" as she is shooting at droids with some sort of stunner, but her willingness to defend herself only goes so far and disappears if her opponent is not a droid, so that claims seems... a little silly. Additionally, that limitation doesn't last if she's pushed hard enough because she later threatens to torture a criminal and imprison an innocent man on trumped up charges for questioning her orders. She doesn't end up going through with either one, but only because both threats force the people being threatened to capitulate. But even if she's bluffing, the fact that she's willing to force an innocent man to follow her orders no matter what by threatening him with trumped up charges is... an extremely questionable thing to do. And this happens literally one episode before she brings in a Jedi to teach Mandalorian children to question authority.
She also doesn't seem willing to apply the idea of "defending myself/others" as an excuse for some level of violence when it's Obi-Wan or the Jedi, but has no issues when it's Padme. The Jedi are never allowed to defend themselves or anyone else without her judging them quite harshly (unless of course it's Ahsoka helping rescue her from Almec). But when it comes to Padme, she seemingly has no issues with Padme picking up a blaster and killing a bunch of Pykes in order to defend herself, Satine, and Satine's guards. There's no condemnation of Padme's actions at all after this, just admiration for her fighting ability. But when Obi-Wan fights off some Death Watch members who were trying to kill him and Satine and leaves them unconscious, Satine condemns him for "taking pleasure in causing injury to others" despite LITERALLY no indication that Obi-Wan took any pleasure in that fight at all. This is obviously extremely hypocritical on so many levels.
I don't really think this makes her an interestingly complex character because I don't think the narrative really engages with these contradictions on that level, I don't think the narrative really acknowledges them AS contradictions at all, it's just bad writing. So instead of making Satine compelling and nuanced, it just makes her ridiculous and frustrating. Somewhat amusingly so for someone who already doesn't like her much and never has, but still.
