Someone asked me the other day why people in their 20s just don't seem happy anymore. As a mid thirty year-old fuck, let me tell you. This is why. Right here. This chart. Pass it around. Let the existential dread fill the void in your heart, or better yet fuel the flames of anger you feel as more and more gets taken, and you get less and less for your work.

If you've ever asked yourself why toil away for someone else's reward, you are not alone. You are not insane. The economy is not peachy keen. I read, pour through, and chart economic data because I cannot believe that nobody else is seeing this.

So here I am. I will share what I discover as I discover it. Tell me when I'm wrong, debate me on the reasons and causes, but never deny that the data is there for us to read for ourselves.

By the way, I did a little bit of number crunching to determine what the value of what was lost is. In today's USD the difference ranges between $5,500-9,200 per year per working American. And that's if I'm being very conservative, generous, and not topping it out around historical highs but hitting historical averages.

The USA experiment is over

Get out. Take your family, take your friends, take anyone and anything you value and get out. If you haven't already, you must come to the realization that if you are politically opposed to fascism, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman, if you are non-white... hell even if you are white but you are working poor; you are no longer safe living inside the United States of America.

Now is the time to renew your passports. Now is the time to come up with a list of the top 3-5 nations you would rather live. Now is the time to be researching what the visa requirements are for entering those countries.

Take the threats of Donald Trump and his conservative voters seriously. They hate you. They want to take your rights away at best, and kill you in actuality. The United States has set itself on rails and they divert at one of two destinations: The American Civil War II, or The American Holocaust of the Liberals.

If you do not have the money to buy a plane ticket to get to your new home, take out a credit card, or multiple, for as much credit as you are worth. Withdraw against that balance. Buy your ticket and leave. Do not look back. A country that threatens to take your liberties does not deserve you, and there are other nations in this world willing to provide a better life for you than what the United States of America cares to offer.

Do not wait. There will come a time when the option to leave becomes unavailable to you. When there are not enough workers to sustain their filthy greed, they will close the terminals, the ports, and the highways, and you will not be allowed to leave. Freedom of movement will be the next in the long list of rights they wish to strip from the American people, mark my words.

Get out while you can. Do everything in your power to leave. You are valuable, you deserve love and a right to pursue happiness. But you will not find that here. Not anymore.

It baffles me the frequency in which the Reds control the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the Presidency. They truly are a raucous minority that is willing to lie, cheat, steal, and even kill to win any elections available to them. Never get comfortable. Never be complacent. These fuckers never stop coming for the majority's power.

Bad Pay = Bad Labor

It used to be that jobs paid well because they wanted workers to be able to focus on their jobs and do them well. It was common knowledge that you pay doctors, lawyers, electricians, plumbers, etc. well because you don't want these kinds of people worried about paying the bills when they should be focused on their job.

Today, I don't know of a single profession or industry where workers are paid well. Maybe better than others, but never well.

Today we have surgeons who are worried about paying their bills, rather than worrying about saving your life.

Today we have lawyers who are worried about paying their bills, rather than worrying about defending you in trial.

Today we have electricians and plumbers worried about paying their bills, rather than worrying about making sure your electricity or water is running smoothly.

Today we have IT technicians worried about paying their bills, rather than worrying about continuity of critical infrastructure (Hey Crowdstrike outage, I see you!)

Today nearly every person providing critical infrastructure, and services is worried about paying their bills rather than doing their jobs well.

Businesses used to be required to align incentives, but today we are stuck with a leadership class that does nothing but cannibalize businesses and communities for aggressive self-enrichment.

And it shows.

Both Sides Are The Same

Both sides are the same. I see this argument a lot put forth from conservative and Republican voters. (I have not once heard this argument come from a registered Democrat or an Independent that didn't vote for Republicans almost exclusively. Not once.)

Whenever I hear this argument I take it as an opportunity. I offer to play a game. The rules are simple:

Pick a crime. Any crime. Pedophilia, rape, murder, criminal racism, criminal misogyny, fraud, just to name a few examples...

I will name as many convicted Republicans of that crime as I can.

You name as many convicted Democrats of that crime as you can.

We go back and forth, one at a time.

First to run out, loses.

For some strange reason, zero conservatives or Republican voters have ever taken me up on playing this game. What's wrong? Both sides are the same, right?
