Everly glanced down at the expensive looking watch on her wrist — it was a gift from one of her repeating clients, and for once one that she didn’t need to ask them for the receipt for. Men usually had no idea what it was she liked, they just gifted her with the most expensive looking things they could find or gift her with presents that their wives had been given and never used. A sigh slipped between her lips as she read the time on her watch, the dealer she was supposed to be meeting was late. Again.
“Five more minutes and then I’m crossing the border to buy from a Lostie.“ Everly muttered to herself, annoyed that her dealer had the nerve to keep her waiting out in the cold.
“Wouldn’t tempt fate.” Chase said considering the situation, he’d been across the border that day. And didn’t doubt the line dividing the two sides was becoming thicker because of it. “They’ll be along soon enough but until then.” He pulled the small baggie from his pocket.
