This is my favorite SNL sketch, and it is always so hard to find because it was cut out of the reruns for whatever reason. But it’s so funny. I will never not think this sketch is funny.

Bo on set with Elsie Fisher
These are the three moods of 2018 how’s everyone feelin today
Be brave. Be yourself. Never change. Never learn. Never take any criticism. Die Alone. Go to heaven. Don’t let God tell you shit.
i feel like bo burnham did the exact opposite of sell out. like his early stuff is pretty tacky run-of-the-mill edgy™ comedy which was his way of breaking into the business but now he’s just like “hey do you guys want to hear about how celebrities are products manufactured by a capitalistic society preying on the marginalized also art is dead *funky synth noise*”
How Comedians Have Brought Awareness to the Troubles of Growing Up
(In Eighth Grade):
Bo Burnham: Makes accurate and socially eye opening high quality film with a limited cast and his own honest Expression
John Mulaney:
one critical difference between bo burnham and john mulaney is that bo’s comedy is usually abstract and/or based in made-up one liners and wordplay he thought of and decided were funny. john’s is more storyteller-y with actual things that actually happen. this also ties into how bo exclusively wears like a t shirt and jeans and john is all decked out in a suit. you’ve got a scruffy 6′5 rockin twink who’s just making it up as he goes and a guy in a formal suit who is explaining the wild shit that happens in his everyday life.
So I was thinking, and Bo Burnham is extremely handsome
and extremely tall
and has great fashion sense
and overall just very easy on the eyes
BUT, whenever I think of him, his superficial characteristics never come to mind. All I think of are his songs, his comedy shows, his acting, his vines, his writing and his articulate interviews. So I guess what I’m trying to say is, in a world (Hollywood) that’s basically run by pretty people, Bo’s talents truly stand out, at least to me. He’s literally one of the most talented artists out there who could just as easily be another pretty face and get that money, yet he continues to do what he’s good at and I love that about him.
