Akashi would look really cute if his hair was played with!!
( destruction, @shinkusame )
“As beautiful as the scenery is, I can’t imagine such a tourist attraction is appreciated by those who lost loved ones in the event.” Seijuurou spoke bluntly, casting his gaze out towards the volcanic ash and rocky formations. He’d heard about Brockgrove’s destruction earlier that year, and despite the fact that construction to rebuild the lost district had already begun, there was still a site dedicated to tourists, so that everyone could take pictures and see the destruction left behind by Mount Augustine. Seijuurou sighed, “I suppose, at the very least, it’s nice that part of the money for this tour goes towards the reconstruction...”
Noticing he was no longer alone, that instead there was another redhead standing nearby. The other seemed to have overheard his thoughts that he voiced out loud, and so Seijuurou offered a casual smile.
“My apologies, I didn’t realize anyone else had come near...”
( under the sea, @ledprintsvitya )
“It’s a beautiful sight, isn’t it?” He asked, although it was more of a rhetorical question than a prompt for a reply. He approached the other male without hesitation, seeing as how they were the only two standing in the underwater tunnel. Fish, all around, swam in schools and alone: a myriad of colours and species, making the tunnel live up to it’s reputation and popularity.
Seijuurou had decided to come to the aquarium today in order to clear his head. He was still on holidays from his course work (not that he hadn’t already caught up with everything and then some), so he had free time to explore the city. After speaking to a few locals, he found himself recommended to the underwater aquarium: and those locals hadn’t been wrong about how breathtaking it was.
“It must take quite some time to care for all of these fishes.”
( be careful, @mismatcheddoll )
“Excuse me.” Seijuurou said, reaching out to tap the male in front of him on the shoulder. He had been walking behind the other for a short amount of time when he noticed something fall from his pocket. Seijuurou had bent to pick it up in one fluid and graceful movement, before picking up his pace to catch up to the other. As he did, he regarded the small object, gaze settling on the coloured wrapper, noting that it was a piece of candy.
Once he had the other’s attention, Seijuurou offered up the piece of retrieved candy to the dark haired male. “You dropped this.”

A few days ago, a beautifully written letter was addressed to his apartment, inviting him to the formal party gathering at the historic site of Bellevue Castle, one that had caught Midorima’s attention for quite some time. It was said that even the most prestigious, influential people find it difficult to receive an invitation to the castle, so rarely anybody had the chance to visit its sacred interiors.
The thought of a bustling, busy party initially put the antisocial male off, but Oha Asa suggested that he should give the opportunity a shot, for there would be a rewarding encounter in return.
The party was just as crowded and populated as he thought, most of which came in a pair of two as they headed towards the centre of the ballroom for a round of ballroom dancing, their bodies swaying gracefully along the music provided by the orchestra just above the staircase.
Midorima decided to take a break from the party by wandering around the open halls of the castle, letting the sounds of his leather shoes tapping against the marble floor envelope his hearing as he takes in the beautiful architecture. Chandeliers made of crystal dangled from the top of the high ceilings as the music from the party gets softer and softer.
One of the castle rooms caught the male’s attention as he walked in. The room was just as posh as the other rooms. The bookcases were filled with old documents which give off the familiar smell of old books, something that Midorima quite enjoyed as he owned quite a few old books himself. If his memory served him right, this would be one of the studies that the previous monarch had.
A sudden, familiar voice resonated across the room. Midorima’s thoughts stopped in its tracks as his eyes widened at the realisation of who it could be.
In one swift motion, the green-haired male turned around to meet with a familiar figure. The figure that both mesmerised and terrified him. A mixture of emotions welled from below his heart as his gaze softens at the other.
It was an unexpected meeting that he had never asked for. After all those years where they seemed to grow further and further apart, they’ve finally met again in under such circumstances.
“Akashi…” He murmured, still in shock due to the other’s sudden presence. He had truly never expected the encounter to be with his former acquaintance. He wasn’t just any acquaintance, however. Akashi was quite an exceptional person that had successfully claimed the throne of being Midorima’s first, true friend, just like how the red-haired emperor had claimed many other thrones.
He watched as that familiar voice that was filled with both grace and authority resonated in the room. It was nostalgic to watch the figure moved across the room, reciting the details that were clearly from one of Bellevue’s historic books. It was always like that, where Midorima would quietly listen to Akashi as they spend their school days enjoying a game of shogi.
When it was his turn to speak, Midorima hesitated, but nevertheless, he finally greeted his old friend.
“It’s been a while, Akashi.” said Midorima, his expression remained stoic, though the corner of his lips curled up ever so slightly.
It was a warm welcome, from someone like Shintarou. Despite their colourful past (jokes aside) and their time spent apart, it was a pleasant discovery to find that their friendship remained more-or-less intact. Seijuurou hummed thoughtfully in agreement, grateful that things were already starting to feel natural with his old friend. He’d spent far too long out of contact with the other especially, not to mention the rest of their circle of friends.
“It has, indeed.” He finally said, voicing his agreement out loud. Still smiling, the corporate heir shifted his weight slightly, looking lost in thought for only a brief moment as his eyes found the tiled floor. He then flicked his gaze upwards, meeting Shintarou’s head on, gaze warming. “You look well, Midorima. Of course, you’re one of few I would even have to worry about in regards to health or livelihood.”
Chuckling again, Seijuurou slipped his hands into the pockets of his suit pants, turning away as he moved to examine some of the old texts lining the bookshelves. His phone vibrated in his pocket, though he ignored it, knowing it would only be another email better suited for the current acting head of his family’s company to respond to. He was only ever contacted when the former wasn’t picking up: and for once, Seijuurou wanted to enjoy the evening without any interruptions from a job he was unsuited for.
“What have you been up to? If you don’t mind my asking, that is.” Seijuurou said, throwing a glance over his shoulder, curiosity sparkling in his eyes.
YOUR DEFEAT IS ABSOLUTE [12.20]
Send me a ♢ and I’ll make your muse in Create-A-Sim
( we meet again, @tsuntsunderima )
“The architecture is outstanding, is it not?” Seijuurou broke the silence that was lingering in the air, no doubt on purpose as the other always preferred silence to the noisiness of a party, such as the one located on the floor beneath them. Without offering a greeting, the heir strolled into the spacious study, hands clasped behind his back. His footsteps sounded along the well-polished tile with a dignified grace, eyes glancing around the room as he took in the sights of the medieval castle the Winter Ball was held in.
Truly, Seijuurou hadn’t expected to run into Shintarou tonight, at the ball. He was fully aware of the other’s presence in the city, but his former teammate was someone he hadn’t expected to attend at all. Fate favoured such encounters in a city so deeply rooted in the concept of it’s existence, and so he welcomed the chance encounter with open arms, rather than backing away and organizing a reunion he had full control over.
“Bellevue used to be a kingdom of it’s own. This was the castle where the royal family resided. Why, many a king might just have sat in that desk over there...” Seijuurou said, sounding almost amused as he recited the information he’d read earlier when researching the city. He then chuckled, a quiet and single syllable laugh that already was out of character for him. A smile appeared on his face as he turned to Shintarou, tilting his head bemusedly.
“I am only jesting, of course. The king’s study is located several floors above: this study was for guests and other members of the royal family, such as princes and princesses.”

After eight flutes of champagne, Yuuri had taken off his blazer and left it on a chair at the table that him and Viktor had been sharing. Wherever his date had ended up, Yuuri was negligent of the fact now, replacing his timidness at being left alone with his outgoing self. This was the self that actually started conversations, wasn’t afraid of getting in other people’s personal spaces, and, of course, loved dancing.
He saw an opportunity when in the corner of the room, he spotted a boy with bright red hair standing by himself. The music took on a faster pace, and Yuuri’s legs were moving before he made the conscious decision to do so. But he had no desire to stop himself.
“You look like the kind of guy that knows how to dance,” Yuuri enunciated the word as if to give it more than its base meaning, though that wasn’t really intentional. “So why aren’t you dancing?”
He was observing. While he was used to rubbing elbows with billionaires and celebrities alike, Seijuurou was new to visiting events where the same formal style of dress was expected, but the patrons were of mixed social class. It was interesting, to say the least, seeing how they interacted with the sort of festivities Seijuurou was most used to. He, of course, passed on many a drink offered to him, intent on staying level headed for the evening. His father had taught him from an early age how distasteful it was to wind up intoxicated at a fancy event: even if it was more of a party than a place to talk shop.
Flitting his gaze over to the bespectacled male that approached him, Seijuurou observed him up and down before allowing a small smile to slide onto his face politely.
“I do know several styles of dance, however I was observing the other party-goers.” He replied simply and honestly, turning fully to give the other his full attention. A subtle flash in his eyes gave evidence to something he’d become aware of, but thankfully Seijuurou felt kind enough to share his observation with the other.
“You are... Katsuki Yūri, of Japan... correct? A figure skater, representing our home country in men’s singles. I’ve seen you skate a few times: it is a pleasure to meet you.”
—Things do not change, we do.
Happy Birthday, Akashi Seijuro! (12.20)
"Happy Birthday, Seijuurou." Midorima murmured awkwardly, his face flushed with embarrassment as he was not used to being so straightforward with birthday wishes. He took out a small, blue jewellery box from his pocket, and inside was a beautiful sterling silver ring embedded with tanzanites, zircons and turquoises, each said to give luck and protection to those who were born in December.
“Oh... Shintarou? I wasn’t expecting anyone to remember.” Seijuurou said in response, his honestly blunt in the face of the other’s kind gesture. He gave a tiny smile, a slight quirk of his lips to soften the blow. “But thank you, I appreciate the gesture.”
It was rare for his friend to be so open with his intentions, and even more rare for the other to use anything but his last name. Seijuurou figured that would be all and turned to look back down at his phone, when he noticed the other moving in the corner of his eye. They had agreed to meet someplace public today, at Shintarou’s behest, and Seijuurou had suggested Little Italy, since he’d been meaning to try it. Since they were waiting for their appetizers to be brought out, Seijuurou had decided to check his schedule for the rest of the day and tomorrow, not wanting to forget anything.
Shintarou was pulling something out of his pocket which was what caught the point guard’s eye, stilling his own movements. His friend then set the box down for him to take a look at, and with a lingering look of questioning sent Shintarou’s way, Seijuurou reached for the gift. A small box, coloured a lovely blue with clear evidence as to what might be inside. He was a little confused to say the least, wondering why his good friend felt the need to get him anything at all.
Inside the box was a beautiful ring. With blue gems and crystals, it was something regal and personal, and he could tell by the way Shintarou shuffled in his chair, it was something chosen with a great deal of thought put into it. Smiling easily this time, the business heir slipped the ring onto his finger easily. He wasted no time in admiring the jewelry, that stood out against his pale skin.
“Is this your way of proposing, Shintarou~?” Seijuurou couldn’t help but tease his friend, seeing the other get so worked up over something like this. He stared expectantly, place his elbows on the table as he leaned forward, hands folded under his chin. The ring was displayed clearly, as if on purpose.
“If so, I would hope you considered all the necessary adjustments we would both have to make to our schedules. And of course, the judgement we would face from our families respectively...”
He then gave a short laugh, indicating that he was indeed joking. Flashing a pure and grateful expression, Seijuurou spoke again, “forgive me, I was merely jesting. Thank you for the lovely gift, Shintarou.”
☆ Happy Birthday ♫♬ • Akashi Seijuro
"It's so hot I think I might pass out. Can you help me?"
MEME // ACCEPTING .
Abandoning his current conversation, the conglomerate heir turned towards the faint male, concern etched across his normally unreadable expression. With a quietly placed ‘excuse me’, Seijuurou stepped towards the male and placed a hand on the other’s back. It was gentle, yet firm, as he steered the other out of the stuffy room into a nearby one that he already knew was rather chilled. As he left, he signalled one of his assistants and asked for some ice water to be brought over urgently. As far as he was concerned, assisting someone who might have heat exhaustion was much more important than any business deal he might have had a chance at making.
“If you feel anymore faint within the next minute or so, you should lay down and elevate your legs. It will help your circulation and help you cool down.” Seijuurou instructed, before his assistant then interrupted by knocking on the door with some water. Taking it from her with a quiet thank you, he brought the water over to the stranger without hesitation.
Holding the glass out to him, the red head smiled gently, concern still evident on his face. “Drink, please. It will help.”
