I asked you to let him be, Quinn, not sign up for Glee club as well. I just don’t understand why you’d join a club you hate so much. We’re not lacking in anything! As I’m sure you’re aware, our debut performance was well received by the entire school! Everyone cheered and clapped for us, so obviously we were good. We don’t need the Cheerios, or any Cheerios for that matter.

Well then I’m doing one better than what you suggested----I’m supporting him. If Finn can’t leave Glee and if it really means that much to him, then I can help him turn it into something that isn’t a complete embarrassment----which is what your performance was, by the way. Or did all that backlash from the school board and community not register through your thick skull? Face it, Berry, there are actual winners on the team now.

So what, this glee club is like your charity case? Believe me, it’s not as simple as pushing the incompetent to the back and looking pretty. Though perhaps that might be a good start. 

I was inspired to do some good. Well I’m hoping that the other members can become halfway decent performers----while cheering isn’t the same, I still have some experience in whipping amateurs into nationally winning champions.

Okay, you know what? This is getting way out of hand. First, I have to accept the fact that a sexist has been given the green light to join the club, and now, the Cheerios too!? I don’t know what Mr. Schue was thinking, but I can’t surround myself with negative people who don’t know anything about show choir. I’m going to be a huge Broadway star someday, and Mr. Schue is deliberately trying to sabotage my chances of becoming that. 

Actually Berry, in a way, you have only yourself to thank for me joining the team. Wasn’t it you that said I should----oh, what was it----accept Finn’s talent and support him in what he wants to do? What better way to support him than to bring our experience in leading a nationally ranked cheer squad to your show choir that is clearly lacking in competent leadership?

I wouldn’t call it dancing, and yes----although up til now my talents have been reserved for the WMHS Cheerios, my friends and I auditioned yesterday and got in. Well, Jesse St. James, I’m a bit new to the world of show choir, obviously, but I trust I’ll pick up on things quickly.

Puck shouldn’t have been surprised when the Ice Queen got all stone faced at seeing him. It’s not like they were all buddy-buddy since their sexy rondevu - something he was still feeling pretty shitty about. But he wasn’t going to like make it obvious by acting all cold like Quinn. It was a stupid mistake, hot yeah but still stupid. He wasn’t going to hurt his friend by letting him know. When her turned to Quinn, he at least expected a thanks for saving the day. Pssh, weren’t girls supposed to be like grateful or something when you saved them? “Yeah, well it didn’t look like it, Princess Peach.” he said then rolled his eyes to how dramatic Quinn was acting. “I’ll make you something.” he offered as he nodded over to the drinks table. “Look, I know you’re pissed about Finn joining the army of the homos. I am too, so what are you going to do about it? I can’t be seen being friends with a gay guy. People are going to start talking, they’ll say I like the D, when the Puckasaurus is all about the V - as you know.”

Quinn’s irritation was already sky-high, and being around Noah Puckerman did nothing to help that. He had the most annoying talent for getting under her skin, but she handed him her empty cup, crossing her arms as he spoke, “People are already talking----Karofsky’s having a field day and Rachel Berry somehow thinks this means she’s going to be anything but the biggest loser in this school---Puck, shut up!” She hissed, eyes narrowed, “I’ve already told him to quit but he says he can’t-----and I can’t force him, contrary to what everyone believes. My hands are tied. For the moment.”

Dani hadn’t realized who she was helping until now and she was almost regretting it. But her morals and the fact that even if it was Quinn she let it slide. Dani ran a hand through her hair before looking back at the group of guys and then the blonde who was obviously having a hard time realizing that she took care of the idiots with hockey pucks. “Are you okay?” It was a lot nicer than she realized and she was as surprised as Quinn was that they were decently talking to each other. Another Minion to talk decently to her tonight just meant that she had way more to drink than she had thought. “You should train in Jiu Jitsu. It keeps the idiots with hockey sticks away from you.” She offered with a slight shrug.

“Sue has SWAT training or something, so she says, and she’s passed on some of that to us----so I can defend myself if I have to. I’d just rather not start a brawl in the middle of a party.” Quinn had also been caught off guard----it had been a long time since someone hadn’t listened to her---hadn’t respected her so obviously. “But I’m fine----you learn to deal with the meatheads at this school sooner or later.” The silence was a bit awkward---what would normally have been filled with Quinn’s acidic tone was silent because Dani Harper had been decent and--- “I’m surprised you came. To the game or the party. Is Lima living up to your wildest dreams?”

Look, I’m sorry, okay?” he offered in a still-weak attempt at trying to fix it. “I’m sorry it was embarrassing for you but as you can see, I’m here with you now and no one else.” Finn did his best in arguments with Quinn not to get angry himself. Because if he could stay calm, he figured maybe it would just blow over soon. “I haven’t forgotten it.” He sighed. “I love you, Quinn. I’m sorry if I haven’t been showing it but I do. I haven’t been a good boyfriend to you but I…I can fix it.”

And in that moment, Quinn actually felt a bit guilty. Because yes, Finn was frustrating her and this whole Glee thing was derailing all of her perfectly laid plans, but.... Finn was a good guy. And he didn’t know it, but she hadn’t been the perfect girlfriend, either, by a long shot. But Puck had been a mistake, a careless and----weird mistake that she didn’t want to dwell on, one that wouldn’t happen again. Finn was who she wanted to be with---who she was supposed to be with. But still, it nagged at her, and maybe that was why she softened. “I love you too, and I don’t want to fight with you, you know----I just want us to be happy again, Finn. And you are----the perfect guy for me, the best guy at this school, it just makes me so angry that Glee Club is making people lose sight of who you are.”

SANTANA: I like it. Plus, you saw the way she was practically dry humping Finn during the halftime show, right? She was like a cat in heat whenever she so much as looked at him. QUINN: I'm still president of the Celibacy Club, San. I'm not going to stoop to her level, because that would make me just as desperate for affection as she clearly is.

QUINN: But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to make sure to take whatever opportunity I can to remind her Finn is with me, not her.

QUINN: So we audition tomorrow? We can put something together tonight, my place.

Finn had to keep himself from rolling his eyes. There were a few reasons: one, Quinn had been drinking, and he had to keep reminding himself she wasn’t quite herself (though not much different); two, she would rip his head off if he did roll his eyes; and three, she sort of had a point. No one had ever really walked all over Finn like this before—well, besides Quinn herself sometimes—and now he was just letting it happen. “I could have said no, but the song Mr. Schue had for us was so much worse. We were just trying to be slightly less of a joke for once.” He couldn’t argue with what she was saying, because he would probably rip any one of their heads off if he saw them dancing like that with Quinn, but he was sure she’d have the same defense he had now if she were the one in the club— “It was just dancing,” he mumbled. “I know it wasn’t that cool but it was. I don’t see Rachel like that and you know it.” He wanted to touch her arm or something but he didn’t want her to rip his out of its socket. “Why would I be when I’m with the most beautiful girl in school?” Quinn loved compliments, and it was the truth, so it was worth a shot.

“Well in your quest to not be a joke, you let the entire school think you don’t respect your girlfriend enough to---- tonot let some desperate leech like Berry paw all over you! It’s humiliating Finn, and look at you, you don’t even care!” Quinn was only slightly mollified by his compliment----she was the most beautiful girl in school, and she had worked so hard to be; she’d worked so hard to get to where she was and she wasn’t going to lose it all over some stupid singing club. “Are you? Because lately it seems like you’ve forgotten that.”

SANTANA: How did we get so unlucky that we got landed with not only going to the worst school in the country, but we got a cheerleading coach that makes even you and I look tame?

It takes me enough effort not to puke all over myself every day whenever I think of the fact that you're my captain, and you're one of my besties. SANTANA: We're taking charge while we're there.

QUINN: It's funny that you mention taking charge, because that's step one. Imagine how quickly Berry will run out crying if WE steal her precious club out from underneath her.

QUINN: It shouldn't be hard. We're talented, we have award-winning experience, and we haven't just pissed off the entire school board and town with a risque performance.

QUINN: Then we work on breaking the rest of them down and before you know it, Glee Club will be nothing but a bad memory.

For just a moment, Finn was relieved, thinking they were going to be able to stick together have fun as they often did at parties, making everyone else jealous. But he could tell Quinn had been drinking and so had he, which was already uncharacteristic of both of them, and Quinn was mad. Of course she was. Finn would be a complete moron to assume she wouldn’t be. Still, he found himself throwing his head back and groaning as she walked away from him. He had hoped for just one moment of peace after all that. “Come on, we’re gonna do this now?” he asked as he hopelessly followed her. When he got close enough, he lowered his voice. “I didn’t have a choice for the halftime show, and…it really wasn’t that bad,” he tried, sure it probably wasn’t the best decision, but at this point it seemed he had nothing left to lose.

Quinn gaped at him for a moment, wondering where she should even begin in response to his defense. Shaking her head, she laughed, “Didn’t have a choice? What, you just let Rachel Berry and her merry band of freaks boss you around like they own you? Since when do any of them have the power to boss you around, Finn? You could’ve said no-----and not that bad? Letting Berry dry-hump you in front of the entire school----no, the entire town----isn’t that bad? It’s----humiliating and disrespectful and----God, Finn, how would you feel if I let Karofsky or Azimio or----or even Puck!----do that to me in front of everyone?” Her words hit too close to home, but he didn’t know that, and she continued, “Would it be not that bad then, for everyone to see your girlfriend in that position with someone else?! It’s bad enough the Cheerios got sidelined, but I had to watch that?? And you think it wasn’t that bad?!”

After losing yet another game, The Puckerman was pretty much ready to wreck Azimo’s house and drink till he puked. Or blacked out - which ever happened first, he didn’t really care. He just knew that tonight he was going to get shitfaced and hook-up with some chick from the celibacy club. Sure, they might have taken that stupid pledge to save themselves for marriage but Puck Jr. liked a challenge. As he was talking up some Freshman cheerio, he glanced to see Quinn being grabbed by some dumb hockey player with a seriously messed up haircut. He thought Finn should be the one to do the saving, but with Finn no where in sight, he figured he might as well help his best bro’s girlfriend out a little. So he stepped in, grabbing the hockey dudes arm and twisting it back and off like he saw in like Karate Kid or something one time. “Dude, she said no so fuck off.” He said stepping between Quinn and the other guy. The two stared each other down for a few moments before the other left, mumbling something that just made Puck laugh. “Yeah, that’s what I thought.” he said smugly before turning back to Quinn. “Yo, you okay?” He asked, “I could totally go get Finn and we can beat that dude’s ass.”

Quinn schooled her face into a mask of indifference, even though she was still more than a bit unsure of how to navigate around Puck since their encounter over the summer. Still, treating him as though nothing had happened----and nothing had happened, it was a mistake----seemed to be working well so far, so it was what she would continue to do. “I’m fine, Puckerman----I don’t need you or Finn to rescue me.” It was ungrateful, sure, but Quinn blamed her bad mood and the events of earlier that night, “Finn can find his way over here himself, if he wants, I----forget it, I need another drink.” The last thing she wanted to discuss with someone like Puck was her problems with her boyfriend.

At this point, Finn had stopped drinking. He wasn’t sure why he even started, but he cut himself off at just two drinks, wanting to be fully aware of his surroundings. And he was glad that he did. He spotted Quinn not too far away being held by some lowlife hockey player. It was enough to have him storming over there before he fully realized what he was doing, but his long legs carried him all the way to where they stood, allowing him to shove the guy with all his strength. “Hey, back off!” he warned, taking another step toward him. It would be stupid to fight here, but Finn was prepared if it came down to it. Luckily, all the other guy did was laugh in his face and turn away. Maybe Finn wasn’t quite as intimidating as he had once been, but at least it got the job done. He sighed and spun around to face his girlfriend, his expression softening. “You okay?”

Quinn stepped back, moving behind Finn easily as he dealt with the situation, and blinked, silent, for a moment after he asked if she was okay. She was a bit thrown off, from the alcohol, and got out a  hesitant “I’m f---” before she remember just why she had been drinking in the first place. “I’m fine.” She snapped firmly, arms retreating to wrap around her. “You know, three weeks ago no loser hockey player----no guy at this school----would’ve dared try something like that with me. I guess maybe he saw your halftime performance and thought I was back on the market.” She hissed, before spinning around and making a beeline for the drink table.
