It's no secret to anyone at Hawkins High that Eddie Munson and Jason Carver do not get along. And admittedly it's also not the first time he's been jumped by the basketball team. And sure, Eddie's scrappy, and he's learned how to not fight fair, but there's only so much he can do in that sort of situation. Some mild bruising and a black eye is a win in his book, and he's also pretty proud of the fact his rings left a decent mark on one of them too.

"I've had worse," he tried to reassure her, offering a small smile, "It's really not worth the hassle."

“Eddie,” Chrissy started to feel guilty. She didn’t want this. Actually it was her first feeling when she started to hanging out with Eddie. He will have a big target on his back. She sighed. “I will talk with him. He has to leave you alone. You don’t deserve this.” Tooking a deep breath before she give away her hands. She was thinking, everyone were thinking that something is going on between Chrissy and Eddie but truth was they were just friends. Right?

She looked at him, bitting her lower lip nervously. “I think he is jealous about us. He thinks that something is between me and you.”

Folding his legs beneath him, Eddie leaned forward, resting his forearms on his knees. It looked to him like she’d had a bit of a rough day, and that he could certainly understand. And freak he might be, but he was far from heartless, even when it came to the upper class of Hawkins High. He shrugged, resting his chin on his hand, “I’m willing to share. And I don’t bite…most of the time anyway.”

It did amuse him that there were some people at the school that thought him scary, despite the fact he’d done nothing to encourage such an idea. But apparently heading up a DnD club and wearing his hair long and rings and shit was enough to build up a reputation. Scratching at his chin, he looked up at her, “Want to share your shitty day? I’ve been told I’m a decent listener.”

Despite her mood, she giggled. Chrissy actually giggled because of Eddie even she had terrible day. “You know, thank you for this. I needed to laugh a little.” She looked at him. She didn’t understand how Jason could be so cruel about him. These cruel words were hurtful for anyone.

“Do you actually want to hear about my day? It’s quite boring.” She smiled, she actually came really closer to him and sat dawn next to him on the edge of the roof. She smoothed her cheerleading skirt because she heard a mother’s voice. Be perfect. That what her mother said to her every day since forever. “I have a problems with my mom and then Jason want to always talk about himself. I think that he doesn’t care about me. At least I have this feeling.” She looked into distance before her, looking little angry than sad.

Though it was no surfing, basketball had become one of the only outlets that Billy had. He had managed to become quite good at the sport, ending up at the point where he can tease players such as Steve Harrington. 

Practice has just ended and Billy, walking backwards, talking  to his teammates, not realising that he was about to walk into one of the cheerleaders. ❝ Shit, sorry darlin’ ❞ 

It was Tuesday and that means that after older guys were ending their basketball practice they had a little cheerlearding practice. Chrissy was walking with her closest friends, not looking before her. It was obvious that she collided slightly with one guy. “It was my fault, I’m sorry. I didn’t look where I was going.” She looked a little nervous, but she always looked nervous in the presence of boys.

During desperate times, strange things could occur. Ever since their release from The Mindflayer’s curse, they had grown to reach a sense of commoning; having both been through some traumatic experiences, they had bonded through it. Been there for each other when it was needed.

“We were both working at the Hawkins Community Pool to earn some extra cash — I don’t know, guess we just spent a lot of time together over the summer, so things just sort of happened.” Despite them spending a lot of time together, whatever they were was still undefinable. “Why are you asking? Were you in the queue for him?” Heather teased lightly. Chrissy hadn’t ever really expressed interest in him, so Heather figured that wasn’t the case for why she was asking.

When Chrissy listened that she could have a thing for Billy, she laughed. “No, no, I’m not like half of our cheers, they liked him but not me. I promise, Heather.” She shook her head, strawberry blonde hair bounced a little in her ponytail. “I just, I think that Jason Carver has interest in me. He always asked about me and want to talk with me.” For Chrissy it was first time when a guy showed interest about her, so it was new for her too. Because Heather was little older than her, she somehow wanted some advice.<

“Eddie, you don’t have to lie to me.” Chrissy looked into his eyes, took a deep breath. “It was Jason and his friends? It was because of me, right? Because that we were hanging out lately?” She gave her hand on his cheek, looking worried. “I will talk with them, don’t worry about it.” She give him little smile, his black eye was just bad and it was her fault. Somehow it was her fault but she didn’t want to stop hang out with Eddie. She felt happy with him.

The very last person he would have expected to see on the roof was Chrissy Cunningham of all people, yet here she was, looking equally as startled to see him as he was to see her. Tugging the hem of his shirt down a little more (she hadn’t seemed to notice anything, thank god), he pushed himself into a more upright position, brown eyes quietly noting how she seemed like she was upset.

“You don’t have to,” he called out to her, pushing some of the hair out of his face. Sure, he postured plenty but it was a big roof, and he didn’t actually have anything against Chrissy Cunningham, other than the fact that her boyfriend was an absolute prick. But it wasn’t as if she could help that, “Plenty of space up here. And no one ever comes looking.”

Right now she felt stupid. Chrissy came here because she wanted to be alone and she didn’t think that anybody will be here. But it seemed like she interrupted Eddie. “Are you sure? Because you look like you want to be alone and not with someone like me.” She took a deep breath, looking around. “I just had a really bad day and I need a little space from anyone who know me.”

Of course she meant Jason, her mom and even her friends from cheer squad. She had this feeling that nobody listened to her seriously. The cheer girl looked back at him. She didn’t expected that today will be with Eddie Munson on the school roof. She came closer to him, maybe because she wanted to show him that she isn’t afraid of him or anything like that. She never thought about him that awful things what her boyfriend said.
