One of the thing that Sam knew that he had in common with Kurt was how much they cared about their families, which was kind of great. “I know, I mean not everyone would actually hire someone just to help out or let them stay with them even when their kids moved out.” A smile played over his lips. “Yeah, pretty sure every place at least gets rats at least once,” he said, “it’s like something that gotta happen and if you’re like an awesome place you’ll fix it.” Sam raised an eyebrow as he looked at Kurt, “I mean it might mess up your hair if you like dive into it,” he replied, “but isn’t like a swim like something you gotta do when you’re at the beach.” Sam nodded his head, “I’m totally heading in, we can do it together.”
“I’m happy that my family could make a home for you when you needed one.” Even if Kurt wasn’t around much, he was happy that Sam was doing good at their place, feeling as if he belonged there. “And knowing my dad, you’re welcome as long as you need.” His dad loved unconditionally, just like Kurt. At Sam’s comment, Kurt figured that he probably had to get over his qualms of ruining his hair. The experience was more attempting than keeping up his appearances, he wouldn’t want to be without it. “Okay, let’s dive in then,” he caved, figuring that if he said it out loud, there was a higher chance that he would actually do it.
CODY:
“Really?? You– You mean it??” Were his ears deceiving him?? Did Gwen actually suggest doing something together?? This isn’t even a case of him still crushing hard for her, even if she was one of his first real crushes. It just… Surprised him. The smile on his face was unmistakable, Cody was geniuenly happy. “That would be great. I would love to do that someday!”
“I do.” Out of everyone at Total Drama, Cody was one of the few that always had her back. Whether his reasonings behind it, she had come to respect him. The people on the show were her family, and despite their difficulties, Gwen genuinely did like them. “Okay, cool. Next time I’m going there, I’ll keep it in mind to invite you.”

OMGOMGOMG ARE YOU BACK?! 👀💙👏🏻✨
I am!! A little slow, since I'm trying to get through some old stuff, but I have returned! <33 Also, who is this? I wanna know who's excited for my return. 😭😭
CHRISSY:
The action of Cleo’s hands carding through her hair has Chrissy melting into the embrace, and it almost brings her to tears remembering that this definitely wasn’t the first time she’s felt soothed like this. It’s not like her mom was a cozy person ever– so she took affection where she could. And thankfully the brunette gave it in spades without question, so. It was nice to have a sense of normalcy in a world that felt less than, lately.
So she listens with rapt attention at every little nugget of information the other has to offer, adding in little tidbit as she goes. Mostly about how bummed she was to hear that Emma’s so far away and how much she missed Rikki as well– though, she’s stuck on the details of this Zane character. It itches something in her brain, like she should know for some reason. And then, something in her synapses connect and the lightbulb dings–
“Wait. Bennett? Zane Bennett?? Huh.” Not that Chrissy wants to linger on it too long, because there’s a lot that can be said and ribbed about with her tastes lately, and how she’d totally be the pot calling the kettle black if she ragged on her friend right now, so she backs off, choosing instead to be sympathetic to Cleo as she runs a comforting hand over her arm.
“It’s been crazy,” even when crazy’s putting it mildly. “Me and Jason? Well, we’ve… we’ve been on the rocks. Uh, hard to explain?–Plus, there’s the whole, well…” she gestures uselessly around her, sheepishly meeting Cleo’s gaze, “How long do you have? It’s, not a quick story, like at all–”
Cleo had always been an affectionate person. Wherewords failed, body language spoke a million words. She knew Chrissy hadn’t hadthe easiest time with her mother, knowing that there was so much for her toamount to. It was like Emma. And Cleo was grateful that she had a fatherwho was gentle with her.
“Yeah, can you believe it??” Zane had always been anasshole to Cleo, enjoying making her life a miserable hell. “It’s... whatever. He’s fine.” Thankfully, she had gotten better at standing up forherself, and after having spent some time with him due to Rikki dating him, they had become less antagonistic to one another, and he was actually trying tobe friendly. Most likely because he didn’t want to have any troublewith Rikki, Cleo was sure of it. He had become “all right” in her books. She didn’t particularly like him, but she had come to tolerate him, in asense.
“Well, I'm here now, right? I have plenty of time for you. Anything you wanna talk about.. I’m ready to listen.” She just wanted to see her again, knowhow she was doing; be up to date with everything.
EDDIE:
It’s when he lifts his head after tuning his guitar that Eddie notices someone peeking in through the cracked door. When he takes in the fact that it’s Chrissy? Meeting him before the show instead of seeing her later in the crowd? He’s glad the strap of his guitar sits secure around his chest or else he would have dropped it in shock.
Lifting the instrument up over his head he sets it down on the couch and walks towards the door. giving her a stunned look before he opens it, gesturing in a grand bow for her to enter. “Well well! You actually managed to sneak out! I’m impressed,” a hand gently guides her into the room, “You know, m’startin’ to think ’m a bad influence on you. I like it,” he winks. It’s not exactly the first thing that comes to mind, almost starting in on a jab at her mother and how he’s glad chrissy crawled her way out from under her thumb… but Eddie knows that’s not exactly his information to disclose. Especially not in front of the crew. Outcast or not it’s not like he didn’t take any social cues–
He almost pulls her in for a hug, but between Mitch gaping at them and the other knuckleheads not-so-subtlety gossiping not three feet from him about it– he’ll try his best to come out of this without embarrassing the both of them if at all possible.
Even still, the grin that takes up his face is so wide his dimples start to show, eyes glittery as he takes in Chrissy’s outfit. "Uh… sorry– excuse my french but: you look bitchin’, Cunningham. Love the,” he gestures her in general in a flourish, not sure where to start since everything about her short-circuits his wiring. Perfectly tailored to kill him. The only thing that would have added to it was if her hair was down– but beggars can’t be choosers, so. “Come to wish us luck? Nice to have a fan in our midsts for a change,”
If Chrissy’s mother knew where she was, she would be in so much trouble; especially if she saw her like this. She didn’t look like her natural self, having wanted to try and fit in to the more underground vibe, particularly inspired by Siouxie, despite having simmered down on the alternative style; trying to fit one that she felt comfortable in. She wore dark leather jeans that she had thrifted in a nearby store, a white top and was, for once, wearing red lipstick; something that she knew her mother would specifically disprove of.
This was so unlike the scene that she was used to. She didn’t come to places like these, bur nor had she had reason to, until now. As Eddie led her inside the room, Chrissy tried to decipher whether she recognized any of the people in the room, some of them most likely having been potential classmates back in middle school. As Eddie applauded her outfit, there was a sheepish grin on her lips. “Oh, this? I wanted to try something new! To really fit into the scene, you know?” It was something that she had been rather fascinated with for quite a while, especially due to her love for female-led punk bands that encouraged a rebellious nature. And with Eddie’s influence, she had finally allowed herself to give into her desires, to try something new.
“Totally! I promised you that I’d come and see you, and I really wanted to hear how you’ve improved since middle school.. hopefully,” she teased slightly, grateful to finally be able to try something that was so out-there, so different from her own life. “So, when are you going on stage?”
You're so golden.

“I thought they weren’t ready,” he said. “Two weeks can make a lot of difference,” she said. “It’s still raining,” he objected. “You’ll get soaked.” She laughed. “Well, I’m not made of sugar.”

Okay, but what if I came back and wrote Lucy Gray? 👀🐍🐦
Cheol-soo: You’re killing people!
Eun-ji: No. I’m killing boys.
Well, technically two. ‘Cause a 10-minute Twitter break turned into an hour, so.
