People often found it strange that you married Osferth, especially as they tended to point out that you could have had any of the Coccham boys.
But it was Osferthâs shy ways that lured you to him, the blush of his cheeks when you smiled at him, the nervous way he reached out to you and the boyish charm that made you laugh.

Flowers are your favourite things to smell. It had been from an early age, the different scents that represent led to different memories along the way. Rose scents for the perfume your mother wore, the smell of lavender because your father couldnât sleep without the smell of it under his pillow, your brothers smell of pine and wood. Your sisters of wild heather.
I wrote this for a lovely anon, I hope you like it!
It is a Isaiah Jesus x reader imagine.
The prompt is: âTake my bed tonight. Iâll sleep on the couchâ.
Warnings: mentions of violence
You had been a normal and rather innocent person before you had met Isaiah.
He was handsome, kind and caring and as soon as you laid eyes on him you knew you were going to fall in love with him.
You had seen him across the street from the shop you had been shopping in and he had broken free from his friends, gingerly walking towards you and asking you out.
It had almost seemed like a dare since his friends were watching you the entire time but his broad and honest smile, the glimmer in his eyes and the beat your heart missed as soon as he laid eyes on you made you agree to it immediately.
One date turned into two and many more while the two of you grew more and more infatuated with each other with every passing minute, making everyone around you joke that you were the perfect couple.
While he was strong and spontaneous you were more sensitive and caring, which built the perfect dynamic for you.
Even though he was spontaneous and rather daring he was tentative when it came to you, being careful around you with his work and with you in general, not rushing you into anything you might regret later.
He was careful with you and you appreciated it, letting him into your life more and more.
It took months until he told you about his job and even when he did he held a lot of it back, making the knowledge more comfortable for you.
You were of the opinion that the Peaky Blinders were a part of the Shelby Company Ltd., a business of export for gin, for which Isaiah worked day and night.
You knew it wasnât entirely legal but his work and his friends put a smile on his face, which you loved to see.
The first time you encountered his business head on was when you were on another date with him.
You were walking down the street arm in arm, taking a turn into a less frequented street when two men came up towards you, both looking sinister and heading towards Isaiah.
He didnât have much time to react but he pushed you aside, pulling you behind him when the first guy threw a punch.
The fight that followed was brutal and bloody, and not very much in favour for your beau.
You didnât know whether to run and ask for help but you couldnât just leave him alone, so you stayed with the intention to step in if things got out of hand.
You had never been in a fight but you were determined to help him, should he need it.
The more they fought the worse it got for Isaiah, until there was no way around it anymore.
After having finished off one guy by repeatedly punching his head into the cobblestones below him Isaiah turned to find the second man with a knife in his hand, approaching him.
He managed to corner Isaiah but he grabbed the hand that was holding the knife with one hand, holding it off.
You were so scared and your heart was beating so fast that you couldnât do anything but stand there, watching everything happen until the strangerâs brain scattered across the street below him.
It was a reason for you to scream but Isaiah rushed towards you, putting his gun away and enveloping you into a hug.
You were so shocked you couldnât talk or think, just holding onto Isaiah as he pulled you along.
You had been in Isaiahâs house before but you had never stayed overnight, but you didnât question his actions once as he brought you up to his room, sitting you on his bed while keeping a small distance from you, most probably so you would feel safer.
You were both silent for a while until he spoke up, handing you one of his shirts as a nightdress.
âTake my bed tonight. Iâll sleep on the couchâ, he told you softly but you shook your head, your hand shooting out to catch his sleeve as he turned around to leave the room.
âYou donât have to do thatâ, you answered him and you looked up at him with pleading eyes, to which he only nodded.
He understood that you didnât want to be alone and he didnât question you, turning around to take off his trousers and dress shirt while he gave you room to change into his shirt.
He climbed into the bed afterwards, leaving you enough space and facing you so that you were looking at each other.
âIâm sorry you had to see thatâ, he told you as he tentatively stretched out his hand, setting it at the edge of your face to play with your hair.
He was watching you carefully, taking every little detail in, and you were mesmerized by him and the closeness between the two of you.
âI didnât want you to get involved with the business, Iâd never want anything to happen to youâ, he added, his voice still a whisper, but you simply nodded along, still too shocked to process what you had witnessed.
âYour business is killing people?â, you asked him carefully, posing a stupid question, but you were still in shock.
Isaiah almost chuckled but decided that it wasnât the right moment for it, caressing the side of your face with his hand.
âNo, but it makes people mad so they want to kill usâ, he answered you, quite vaguely, but you didnât mind.
It took you a moment to reply during which a silence built up, one that put doubts into Isaiahâs head.
You were too good for this life, too good and pure for him, there was no way that youâd stay with him after this quite deadly incident.
After a while of silence during which he even thought you had fallen asleep you decided to talk again, to answer his unspoken question.
âIt sounds like a nerve racking jobâ, you whispered and Isaiah nodded, before letting out a small mumbling sound of agreement.
The two of you were exhausted but very much too thrilled to sleep, just laying next to each other, thinking.
It took you another while to speak up but when you did you surprised Isaiah, telling him something he didnât expect.
âMaybe youâll need someone to get home toâ, you whispered as you sent him a smile he could even see in the dark, placing your hand to his face to mirror his actions, and to give him comfort you knew he too needed.

It is an Aleksander Morozova x reader imagine.
Warnings: mentions of death
Aleksander regretted much in his far too long life, but you werenât one of these things.
A few character traits Alina had reminded him of you, her drive to do the right thing, her kindness, care, and the fact that she didnât share his vision, to the point of endangering it.
He liked Alina, he was attracted to her, but not as much as he told himself he loved you.
You had been there for him after he had lost Luda and created the Fold, trying to help him get over his loss and right the wrong he had done by creating the monstrous place.
You had been there for him when he had slowly started to see sense in his creation, when his plan formed in his head.
It based on the knowledge that no matter how kind and welcoming Grisha were people would always hunt and fear them, the DrĂźskelle did and over the years the Ravkans only stopped doing so because of Aleksanderâs bidding, but he knew it was only temporary.
He knew that there was more to his Fold than what met the eye, he knew that he could use it to keep all Grisha safe, like he had intended to do in the first place.
You didnât see it that way, you felt like controlling the Fold would only worsen the cleft between ordinary people and Grisha, that it would bring war and oppression to everyone.
But Aleksander knew better, and the more you begged him to stop the stronger he got in his purpose.
Before your disagreements started the two of you had been friends, partners and companions, then lovers, searching for amplifiers to gain more power.
They amplified your Small Science and gave you centuries longer to live, while Aleksander was in no need for one.
He had cursed himself every day that he had helped you gain power while you started to question him, having the audacity to think that he acted out of hunger for power, not out of his love for his people.
When you had only ever argued he had decided that you were a threat rather than an ally, making and confining you in a prison designed by himself and some of his loyal Fabrikators, to ensure you stayed away from his plans.
You had fought and pled, trying to convince him to see your sense but he had known what Grisha needed, which he intended to go through with against everyone that stood in his way.
Even though you were one of the most powerful Grisha through your many amplifiers he hadnât hesitated to lock you away because you had loved him, trusted him not to harm you, and he had used that weakness to eliminate the threat you posed for good.
He knew the cell was secure to last centuries and you wouldnât be able to find your way out, he had placed it in Elbjen, the mountains keeping it secure and away from anyone that might have the heart to open it.
Centuries had gone by and he had come to be in the Kingâs favour, his plan playing out nicely with every move he made.
When Alina was played into his hands she reminded him of you, but even through his melancholy at remembering the time you had been in love he didnât regret leaving you.
It was a day like any other in the Little Palace when he saw you again.
He hadnât expected to see you ever again but as soon as his eyes set on your form standing in the doorway of his room he sprang backwards as if he had burned himself.
All the colour had vanished from his face as he stared at you, while you stared back at him, your face still and expressionless.
âAleksanderâ, it was a mere whisper from your lips but the hair on his arms rose at the memory of your voice, fear coursing through his veins as he stared at you.
He had fought alongside you, he knew how great of a warrior you were, and the expression on your face and the fact that he had left you to rot left him to believe that he wasnât in your good graces.
Fear coursed through him but you simply stood there until you heard a sound from outside the room and the door was opened, and you vanished on the spot.
âAleksanderâ, it was Alina who stood in the doorway, a smile on her face that reminded him of you, he could only see your face in hers.
He tried to look calm as usual but he still felt the shock lingering in his bones, ready to attack again.
Aleksander spent the entire day in discomfort, fear, shock and a small but distinctive amount of guilt lingering in his mind, disabling him from keeping a clear mind and concentrating on the important matters at hand.
Every once in a while heâd hear you whisper his name but when he looked around you were nowhere to be seen, he occasionally saw you in other people when they had turned their back to him or when their hair looked similar to yours, but in a matter of seconds you were gone from his vision again.
He spent the day in misery and fear, behaving like a man he was clearly not, but you never moved to hurt him.
You were always just standing there or saying his name over and over again, like a prayer or a war cry he wasnât quite sure.
Your visions plagued him over the entire course of the day until he retreated to his chambers, where he had seen you first in the morning.
You were standing beside the map of Ravka and its borders when he entered and he carefully closed the door behind him, acceptance growing inside him and replacing the fear he had felt mere moments before.
Taking a few tentative steps towards you he swallowed out of nervousness, his eyes trained on you while you watched him, sadness and melancholy filling your own.
Aleksander waited for you to act while he stood in front of you, watching you stretch your hand out towards him while your eyes filled with anger, fear and despair.
âAleksanderâ, it was a mere whisper, not much louder than the smallest thought in his head, but he heard it anyways.
He knew what it meant, he knew why he had heard you that day in contrast to all the centuries he hadnât.
It had been your last breath, your dying breath, with which you had spoken his name.
First of all, congratulations Sophie for 500 followers! You are amazing and ilysm, it's been great getting to know you.
Here is my entry for your flower challenge, my flower of choice being the Poppy; fertility, remembrance, sacrifice, peace, sleep, pleasure, hope, resilience and death.
I could've gone many routes with this one, but the pessimistic part of me woke up and chose violence (and by that I mean sadness)
P.s. I picked the name off of google at random - this OC is just a oneshot aha.
I hope you like it!!

One: Resilience
You never know how to breathe until that breath is taken from you.
By who?
The one that awakens you; the one whoâs sensitivity in the light of all things ugly makes you realise how indifferent you are. But thatâs the point, isnât it? To be challenged, to be opposed in order to make way for a better you.
But, if it is supposed to be a change, a positive turn of direction, why do I feel like this? Itâs like Iâm holding my breath under water; like having a sword pointed to my throat and being told not to let my heart beat.
I must fight. I must.
He wouldnât forgive me otherwise.
âSister LeofflĂŚd!â
I didnât want to speak to him; I couldnât talk, and if I had learnt anything, it was to not have a man hear you stumble over your words.
But he isnât like every other man.
âOsferth.â I adressed.
I was tending to a flower bed, a bed of poppies, morning prayers only having finished a few minutes before. The man asked me if all was all right, if I was well.
âBe honest.â He prevailed, knowing I had a tendency to say all was well when it clearly was not.
I decided to lie, âYes.â
âAre you sure?â
âMy hands are covered in dirt, my knees numb and my hair is about to become unbound.â
He grinned, knowing I didnât like what he was about to offer: âI can help.â
I glared at him for a second, âYou are a distraction.â
âI am only here for so long, Iâll be out of your hair soon.â - he poked my veil at the mention of hair.
I dropped the hand shovel I was using, letting my hands rest on my thighs. Osferth stared at me, wanting to question me.
âDo you have nothing better to do?â
âNope.â He smiled playfully.
âFine.â
He knelt beside me, digging his fingernails into the dirt and showing me the damage soon after.
âNow you are not the only one.â
Why do you have to go?
Two: Sacrifice
âIâm not leaving.â
We were by the water duct, leaving us completely isolated from the rest of the convent. Having been filling up an urn, I nearly dropped it at his statement.
âYouâre what?â
âNot leaving.â
âWhat do you mean⌠not leaving?â
âI canât.â
I waited for the urn to be filled with water from the duct, silence surrounding us.
âWhy not?â I breathed. âAre you ill?â
âNot at all.â
There was a chirpiness in his tone â a happiness.
âThen why?â
âI want...â He paused, taking a moment to inhale. âTo stay here. With you.â
I didnât know what to say. I had been waiting for this moment for months, and here it had finally arrived.
âWhy?â
He chuckled lightly, âI want to.â
âBut-â
âI am tired.â He stepped forward. âOf battles. People. The cold.â
âIt gets cold here too-â
âI know, I know. But-â
âYou would be a fool.â I was still facing the duct, back towards him. âTo stay here.â
âA fool?â
I wanted to choke, repulsed by my insult. He didnât deserve any part of it.
âYou forget, Osferth.â I finally turned, slowly, âI am a sister. A memberof the Church.â
âSo?â
I cannot ground you here. I would never forgive myself.
âYou cannot stay here. Not here, not with me.â
âWhy not-â
âBecause-â I was already stumbling over my words. âYou, too, were once a monk. Should you not understand what position I am in?â
âBut I wonât be a fool, LeofflĂŚd. I made a mistake before, and I will not have you make the same one.â
âNo.â I demanded, causing him to jolt. âDo not persuade me, Osferth.â
âWhy are you so against this?!â
âI am not the one for you, I see it as clear as day-â
âYou do not get to decide that-â
âBut I do. Here I am. What I feel, between us, is a childish dream. I cannot permit those feelings to triumph. I will notpermit you settling for me when you are only half way through your life.â
âLeofflĂŚd-â
âAllow me to speak. I will say this only once more, and then we will be done with it. You are sweet, and angelic, and exactly what I want, what I feel I sometimes need. You are everything and more. But we are not meant for each other, you have so much more to accomplish than grounding yourself here, with me.â
âThat is not fair.â He eyed me, with those crystal eyes I had learned to adore.
Never so much had I wanted to weep. If it hadnât been for the convent, for what I had been taught about fairness and justice, I never would have said what I had. But I did. I hadto. I had watched him, observed him, and he was capable of so much more than myself. If only I couldâve said I loved him, and thatâs why I made the choice to oppose him. Maybe, just maybe, that wouldâve been enough for him to be satisfied by my objections. Maybe it wouldnât have caused such a turmoil, such an idea that I had nothing more in this life than a detestation for him alone.
Three: Remembrance
Whenever I sit on the bench, the one him and I used to sit on while we overlooked his friends battling each other like they had nothing better to do, I always recall something I was once told:
âIt is hard to tell your mind to stop loving someone when your heart still does.â
And I never fully understood the meaning of that phrase until I had experienced its very meaning.
Cold.
Emptiness.
Solitude.
Everything became so solemn, the voice that was once there, far away.
Morning prayers.
Planting flowers.
Filling urns.
Poppies appearing at my dormitory.
Going down to the village.
Sometimes, when I knew I would not be disturbed for another hour or two, I put down the bible I would usually read, I focus on the horizon, perhaps on a bird flying lonesomely above it, hoping that once, only once, the monk I sent away would appear, knowing how I am not lasting without him.
iâve been suffering from writerâs block recently so hereâs something light-hearted <3
thereâs gonna be another part to this, this first part can be read platonically or not, but the second one will be romantic i think. anyways enjoy finan being lightly embarrassed bc he deserves it sometimes
