i just wanna say that i finally got the nerve to read helium and i don’t even have words for how good it is. i forgot how well dakota’s writing can just grab at my chest and pull out such visceral emotions. her writing is genuinely some of my all time favorite of anything i’ve ever read. and the way they do a romance story that’s so much more than just cute scenes and conflicts that are easily resolved. i love how realistically flawed the characters actions are and how things move slow and take time because you can’t magically fix everything through a relationship. the extent of the change that dream goes through from the beginning of heat waves to where he is currently in helium is so extreme and i’m so happy for him. ahhhhhhhh word vomit i just love this series so much
