To be very clear about this: CPUs aren't magical devices that can operate forever. They generate heat. They wear out over time. This happens faster when they're operating near capacity. This is not just an attempt to inconvenience you; this is an attempt to damage your property.
For the "crime" of not wanting to be tracked/have ads pissed into your eyeballs 24/7.
Even if you've paid for the "privilege" of the latter.

it is a free, open-source alternative YouTube front-end. in addition to not having ads, it has other great QoL features like a download button. try one of the several instances on that link up there ^^^^
so i was super pissed and concerned about this but i have just discovered that while this is true, it is apparently only true for google chrome users. i just tested this by having ten tabs open in firefox playing ten different youtube videos at the same time and my cpu usage spiked to 25% as the videos were loading and then dropped back down to 10% as they played.
if you ever needed another reason to switch to a different browser, this is it.

i mostly made this because i realized i keep changing briar and dyven's outfits every time i draw them and hadnt actually nailed down how i see them outside of their in-game costumes... plus i needed an excuse to draw dvyen when he was alive
i think only durge has all his designs 100% nailed down. im totally gonna flake on these, i just KNOW it. anyway you know me im gonna quickly ramble about them for a sec.
it wont be quick. im sorry i lied. anyway
BRIAR - My Tav for this run. my made-up Origin character. im a big fan of when a sexy design is something a character would actually wanna wear and i like it when it shows a character growing more comfortable with themself to be more exposed to others (yaaay thematic garbage-brain). overtime she sheds the pieces of herself that she heaped onto herself (her tattered cape changes to incorporate fur and take on a black wing-like shape before being entirely removed - she doesn't need a cloak to hide away in anymore), her hair pushes off her face somewhat and her ruined eyeliner and dark circles clean themselves up as she becomes more lucid. by the end, she's able to show the arm she once hid. her curse was symbolized by the tattoo on her arm complete the a mark of Cyric. while the black sun tattoo disappears, the rest of the marks remain - a constant reminder of her traumatic past, but now able to be out in the open and a reminder of her healing. my fave detail of her epilogue design is the red feathers in her hair - both newfound freedom and a part of her dear friend she keeps close to her at all times.
DARK URGE - my, uh, dark urge. no sleeves allowed. while he will always wear black and gold, the red slowly grows to be the predominant color in his design before settling around his waist. i like the idea of it representing the ambiguity of his urges versus his personhood - which is winning out? in the end, the red is symbolic of his love for his comrades and his desire to overcome his old self (red is a color of revolution). in my version, his Bhaalist costume is much different from the more regal attire he adorns during the course of the game - where he once wore spikes and harsher drapery, he's chosen to show off the eloquent parts of his personality instead of his violent tendencies in how he dresses. like briar, my guy also gets a sexy revamp to symbolize him opening up and being fully comfortable, only possible for him once his Urges are entirely conquered. until he's able to pop that collar and show off his chest/heart, his clothing essentially chokes and restrains him. by the end, he's relaxed his clothing to something a bit less regal than his first outfit, more comfortable with green jewellery to carry his closest friend with him wherever he goes.
DYVEN - my hireling i got way too attached to. Slut. dyven has the least evolution in terms of design as he goes along aside from his increase in armor. while one can interpret it has him setting his guard up as his re-death, for me it's also a symbol of him growing into his role as a proper hero. from the predominant blues with red ropes to the black cloaks, dyven stays consistent as an ilmatari and as a personality. he also never once trades out the Blood of Lathander, which he stole and honestly isn't able to make work all the time because Lathander is rightfully pissed about it. dyven doesn't have an epilogue outfit, as he returns to Martyrdom after the Absolute is destroyed. instead, i decided to show off what he looked like when he was still alive and working at the Open Hand Temple. he never wore his uniform perfectly, somewhat to annoy the more rigid members of the church.
